Yes I have been there and know exactly. Mine did turn violent. I got free. I found a wonderful man and have been remarried happily for 24 almost 25 years. I hope she realizes her misfortune before she says I do.

IKR. Her friends seem to be afraid of him. You can tell the poor bride is. He is definitely mentally abusive. Let pray he's not physically abusive also. I kinda feel that he will turn physical.

For some guys it's actually a struggle not to be harsh and demanding at home especially when the job calls for it. Turning off the military leader and just be a normal husband is a challenge for many

@@rachelmm05 I know 4 military couples. Three of the four have terrible marriages/are divorced because the military spouse was demanding at home. The fourth is an amazing husband and is really kind. His kids respect him but he respects them too. He asked to not be sent to an embassy in a socially regressive country because he didn’t want to do that to his daughters. He knew the military had final say, but they respected his request. He made it clear to his girls that he was going to do everything in his power to do what’s best for them. I respect the hell out of him and his family. The other three families… the military spouse is an ass. If you can’t turn it off, don’t start a family and put them through that.
