The first bride to be, I love how her future mother-in-law makes wonderful comments about each dress…and the best friend, well no surprise the bride left without a dress.

If bride is bullied into going over HER BUDGET, then THEY SHOULD PAY

Who, in their right mind, would bring all these people , to buy a wedding dress? I don't get it. Trust your own judgement and go alone. That is what I did, and I didn't regret it.

Watching these episodes, I wouldn't take some those "friends" to a dog show let alone come with me to pick out a wedding dress.

I think the thing to do is have two appointments. The first to browse the dresses, try on several, and narrow it down to 3-5 dresses that you really like. Then bring the entourage and ask them to choose which one of those looks best.

I have never met a bride that wishes she had spent more on her dress. Pretty much 90% regret not holding the budget down.

I was shopping alone - for a new suitcase -when i came across a raiof heavily discounted wedding dresses.I tried two on..The second one was mine. It was fit and flare, boned bodice, strapless: deep ivory with gold embroidery. None of my daughters were around that day-, so i took a photo of myself and sent it to them.. the response from all 3 was " you have to buy than dress". So i did!

Her friend was looking for her own dress at the 1st appt. It's not about her.

Take one trusted tactful but honest person who not only knows you well but wants to see you happy but will delicately steer you away from a bad judgement if it comes down to it without crushing your spirit and leave the rest at home.

My daughter and I shopped for her dress on our own.🤷🏻‍♀️ It was easy..,and she got exactly what she wanted.

I went with my gay best friend to an bridal outlet store. He picked out the dresses. When I walked out in THE ONE, he started crying and said, my baby's getting married 👰 😂😂😂😂😂 I'd never, ever go with a group of people.

Even though my mom was paying for my dress, I'm so glad I shopped by myself! I picked my absolute favorite without anybody shooting it down!

The first bride deserved to go home empty handed, she fell for her friends “oh Kimmy” attitude. Leave her at home next time. Ladies, you know your people, you know who will support you and who likes to talk the talk, choose your entourage well.

The first bride’s friend was no friend. She should be ashamed of herself watching this.

IMO, a beautiful ceremony and wonderful reception (speech, food, dancing) is what matters most in a wedding whether it’s a small or big celebration.

This is why I went on my own.

I love watching all these dress shopping videos knowing I will never ever get married and I will never ever have to deal with anybody telling me yes or no .

*Just me, but if I ever had anyone so jealously, hatefully critical, I absolutely would not have that person in my life anymore, effective immediately. Weddings have a way of showing you who truly is on your side cheering in life, and who is a jealous, spiteful B and for the streets. Long history or not, that IS who they are.*

People put too much emphasis and importance on the wedding dress. All of my sister in laws just rented theirs and returned it right after. Now more than 20 years later, they don’t even remember their dress anymore. None of the guests cared what they wore too.

You should be supportive not critical.

I really liked the first one she tried!

Honestly, i would have to shop alone. I would need to be able to "hear" my own intuition about a dress & I couldnt do it above the noise of the crowd. Maybe just one super supportive friend to keep me from making an BIG mistake- even if she didnt totally love my final pick.

When you take an entourage you must understand they can say what they want but the last decision is yours.

I didn't have the wedding dress experience with my daughter. She opted for a very simple registry office wedding with a handful of people. I was able to buy her a new dress to wear from H&M. Totally different to what I had dreamed of, but I was happy she wanted to share the day with me and I respected everything she wanted to do. In hindsight, we saved alot of money and stress! I don't understand people who can't focus entirely on what the bride wants on HER special day..

I love how I just picked what I wanted, and nobody bugged me. I brought my mother in law for a fitting, and she saw it on me, INSIDE OUT and said I looked beautiful. I got the best family.

Cool that the entourage was willing to kick in 1500, or not.

The bridal party should have to watch this video while the bride is in the dressing room before she comes out in her first dress.

One of my best friends took her dad that was it. Her mom said she wasn't into clothes shopping n never had been, my friend was always close with her dad. She found a beautiful dress that she loved n it was on sale, her dad actually picked it out ❤ the dress looked amazing on her too❤

I think the girlfriend of the first bride is a little “jelly”?

I think you have to have comments that are specific, and align with the bride's priorities, like, "This one is more flattering on your butt. That one has a nice silhouette. This one makes you look taller." Don't even comment on the fabric, decorations, or if it's not your style. If it's her style, she just wants to make sure it's flattering, and that's it.

My daughter chose everything for HER WEDDING! It seems as though that is what some of the entourage forgets..

Power trip for some

One person wears the dress, the bride! Entourages, leave your jealousy at home.

If I ever get married...I know my style & maybe? Know what looks good on me. If not, I'll trust the expert consultant. Also, the inconsiderate who think they should spend more? Have the consultant switch price tags because they think more $$$ is better!

I don't think my friends or family would act the way these people acted, but I'd let the consultant know that if any of them get too out of hand, they have my permission to ask them to leave.

Maximum of three people with you-any more than that and it can get out of control!

The very first bride had a great friend. None of the 3 dresses were flattering on her. As her close friend she wanted her friend to be spectacular for her wedding day. The mother in law was so uplifting and sweet!

People don't know it costs money to look at more dresses and per appointment? It costs minimum upto 200 dollars and can go up to 1000 depends on how many people u wanna bring where u wanna sit

The only person I'd bring would be my fiancé - the only opinion that truly matters as it's OUR wedding. I know that's controversial - but I know I wouldn't be marrying anyone who would be rude and not want me to be happy and support my decision

There should be a limit on how many entourage they can bring. That is the fault of the store in allowing so many entourage.
