If you want to do more Dan Vasc, a good one is the cover of Dawn of Victory ft. Fabio Lione. Dan got to sing that one with the original singer and the members of his band, Fearless did a great job with a brutally hard piece.
Im 68 years old and have been a Christian since a child. In my humble opinion, and as a music lover, this is the best version of Amazing Grace, hands down. Beautiful and so moving. I'm almost 60(59 1/2 to be precise) and I grew up in church like your grandfather; because I have a nearly photographic memory (auditory and visual 95% recall) I had memorized most of the hymns in our hymnal-even the verses we usually skipped - by the time I was 6 years old. This song is one I have heard and sung thousands of times over the years and this is the most moving version I have ever heard.

I did not expect that. WoW! Incredible vocal range, almost opera style in some parts. Then the harmonica. I keep thinking he was going to go metal at the end, but no. Great performance.👍
I hate to burst your bubble, but Dan did go metal after the harmonica, very heavy metal in fact. You like metal and you didn't even know it. 😉 You would be surprised at the range metal singers truly have, a lot of them are classically trained. Dan's high notes on the words sun, see, and me are very typical of metal. Go check out Chris Cornell, Tesla, Slaughter, Steelheart, Guns 'N Roses, Slipknot, Warrant, Breaking Benjamin, etc., and you will see what I mean.
There were hints. The harmonica tends to be mostly constructed of metal-I like to say it’s a “metal instrument”- and it presaged the music’s turn toward metal in subsequent verses. 😉 (I’m only half-serious here.)
