Full guide for new game Grounded with basics, what game doesn't tell you up to advanced tricks and even exploits (that's a precise term) :D Everything so you can enjoy and succeed in the game!
Tips in order of appearance:
0:00 Intro
0:17 1. All resources respawn
0:52 2. Drink dirty water
1:23 3. Can't die from hunger/thirst
1:44 4. Full food = HP regen
2:26 5. Don't store food in box
2:55 6. Ignore bandages - correction! They are ok, takes 20secs, slow heal over time
3:16 7. Smoothy = heal
3:56 8. 3-58-287 vs 6-31-172
6:14 9. Dandelions harvest first
7:02 10. Build new, don't repair (start)
8:11 11. Save tools (stumps, web, petals, etc.)
8:58 12. Building tricks 2x

ant armor disguises you as an ant, and they wont attack. also: it makes you able to haul more grass planks/weed stems

Advanced tip number 6 is just wrong. The bandages heal over time. 1 bandage can give you nearly a full heal in around 30 seconds

You are right! I missed the whole regen and healed with smoothie instead :/ I've tested it now out and there is 5 ticks in total over 20 seconds time that heals..approximately 60-66% of HP (without any armor bonuses). After correction the bandage might somewhere be useful..maybe. Smoothies give instant HP and can be repeatedly used, where 3 smoothies give more than the bandage (2 smoothies give less HP than bandage), but all that can be used quickly in the middle of fight. Thank you for correcting me and pointing out this! Bandages can provide nice back up heal in intense fights - that will be my conclusion! ;)

agree with cobie, dont sleep on the bandages. an abundance of sap can be found at the fallen oak branch by the plank that spawns the spiders, hug the branch as best you can to avoid them, this branch also has a lot of mites

Very informative set up, I appreciate you taking the time for this. I've been playing with my son for the past couple of nights and we have been having a blast! (His mom was concerned with our constant screaming until she finally walked in and saw the spiders) This game is such a breath of fresh air. Thank you for all of your tips! My first encounter with a Wolf Spider was in that mentioned cave. I thought it was an Orb Weaver Spider's cave so I checked it out when the coast was clear. Bad mistake. Also, I forgot to bring my torch. Worse mistake. I got into a little battle with a baby spider I couldn't see and was desperately trying to harvest web. I then heard and saw the giant Wolf Spider with red eyes. Scared the piss outta me. I scrambled to get out of the cave but was killed just after hitting sunlight. F'n scary ass spiders. This game should be in VR so I can have a heart attack.

Dude..at least I stopped screaming like a little girl, now after 20+ hours, but I still have disgusted goosebumps whenever I see/hear spider and if it chases - it's all bad xD This game knows how to keep you on your toes! :D

LOVE TH VIDEO some of my tips 1 i like to build a base near the laboratory ,over the fence, it has two sources of liquid, it is close to the sap production 2-as he said, don't be afraid to die ... and also to face insects, most enemies, if well blocked (learn the rhythm of the enemy dying 1 or 2 times), can be faced easily 3-yesterday gorunded have a upgrade... the new bandages r pretty cheap (bandage heal 60% of u life, over 20 sec, smothie heals instantly, use according to the situation. 4 set yours points the way u like and understand more... they have a lot of symbols... ants for anthills, purple leaf for berry location, RS for laboratory entrace...( my way) 5- set of armors have different buffs... if u use a complete set of ants, the soldier ants will not agro you, even if u enter the anthills.... 6- there many recipes of smothies... look on internet my favorite is the gree machine( 1 spring, plant fiber and clover)

Absolutely fantastic, especially 3rd tip where you are not attacking me right away like others :D I think I know where you build your base..there are acorns next to you, grubs, flower petals, berries are closer..few stem sources! I start to like that idea of base there! For tactics and armor - you are on point there! Hey @MLMaris I subscribed because although I have played the demo for 50 hours and just as much in the live game and I thought I could not learn anything major from others. You have proved me wrong. Tip 3 is really amazing tip! I can tell that your brain can think 1000 thoughts a second and you have a really good grasp on the fundamentals of this game. I can see how quickly you have learned everything you have. I can't wait to see how far you go with this game. Many other youtubers with huge amounts of followers will teach people cheese methods of killing wolf spiders and you teach the proper non cheese way. You are literally one of the very few who are going beyond simple combat mechanics. You are the only person on youtube right now to start teaching about wolf bite ranges and avoiding the attacks altogether. Perfect block is always still viable but people need to know they can dodge as well. If you have the time I put together a video demonstrating avoiding the wolf bite/jump and if you have time to watch it I hope it will help you advance even faster. Oh, wow, I almost shed a tear! THANK YOU! This is an honor to see/receive something like this! I try to get to the root cause of things and see what makes them tick :D Not always I manage that, but this game..is asking to be dissected piece by piece! :D I watched your video - absolutely awesome and you are bringing it to the whole next level! One time I was bored and I brought a wolf spider inside of the ant hill and a worker ant somehow one shotted the wolf spider. I kindly collected the loot and avoided the worker ant.

Heh, nice!! I'm not gonna lie - I have this trick too! If an ant or ladybug is near I dance around and wait spider to jump on us and then watch ant's or ladybug charge at the spider :D They need a helping hand so finishing that spider from the back with my hammer..still feels pretty nice :D

I saw a wolf spider waltzing around the ant hill, avoided it because no way I’m fighting both. Ants start attacking spider, wolfie not caring for the first few hits, then starts fighting back like four or five. Then another ant comes up. Wolf spider goes down with one ant remaining. I was going to drop some food for it as a reward but if attacked so it had to die.

Tip: You can perform three quick attacks with pebbler axe (and some other quick weapons), which will be enough to cut down blades of grass, etc. Also good for fighting bugs.

Great video man. This game is s blast & one of the Scariest survival games out there.I knew a few things about this game. But I essentially went into this game blind. Night time came around. Im Chopping some grass down. I turn around & 3 ginormous spiders, are there to welcome me with open legs & death. I've never had anything scare me like that ever. Great video. Thanks.

Will certainly extent tool life as I just switch between with charged and standard striking. Thou they may make an adjustment in the future to balance. Still that is extra resources with prolonged tool life.

Heh, happy to have such viewers on stream ;) I think the striking mechanism will remain the same - as you have to do a 'heavy swing' it takes more time and uses more stamina, but delivers harder blow! Usually in the games it's like that - so saving tool/weapon durability, but in terms of total performance it is a bit slower than fast hitting ;)

Technically gnats can follow you into water but they're more of an annoyance than an actual danger. They don't swim well but they will actually go into the water to follow you, especially in the swamp area. But again...not really particularly dangerous.

@@MLMariss Actually just had a friend get hit by a gnat and die because he was dwindling on 1 health after we barely escaped 3 wolf spiders near the tree! We ran back to our base and were catching our breath and BAM. Death by gnat! xD

@@MLMariss to be fair it looked like it from my perspective but for all I know he could have still been poisoned from the spider or something. He was in front of me, we stopped running, I saw the gnat boop him, heard the little "Oof", he died, and it said he died from misadventure. So I guess I'm making assumptions but for all intents and purposes....it sure LOOKED like the gnat took him out.

if you build a house and store chests over an area with no ground under it (like the baseball or the wood fence with spiders) if the ants can not get under the chest, they can not loot it. so you can store food and the like in chests, just makes sure they are not in some open area or your house is an open area.. only build your main storage over a spot nothing can crawl under or up to and its safe

Hmm..this is something interesting to test out! From other hand..that means if it's not on some huge rock or baseball, then by building fence below it would put it in harms way to larva raids and/or angry ants.. BUT that's an option! :)Thank you for the tip!

To be precise - it seems even a bit more than 40% and overall heal time is 20 secs! Yes, I had misguided info and it was pointed out already. BUT in the middle of fight I think I will still prefer my smoothies as that is instant HP right away :)

@@MLMariss did you get the mint weapon? It is awesome man. Use t3jr plant hammer and break in the mint. Amazing damage and stun and it is a hammer also so you can use it on things like acorns sap clusters and stones and stuff. Have not seen any videos on it. I totally forgot about it and made the hammer to break the mint finally lol. Maybe you already have it lol

I had the wolf spider come into the science lab under the tree. Even that place isnt safe 😵 me and a friend freaked out on that one. (It was that super agressive one at night.)

Oh, damn - I had a goosebumps even reading it xD Yea - there are 3 spiders above the ground (under the oak/above laboratory) so my guess is - they where near when you entered laboratory and then they followed your tracks..this is one of the ways how they wonder waaaay of their initial spawn spot! If you use the pebblet dagger on the dandielions you only use a full stamina bar but you'll still cut it down

He's absolutely right about tip number 16. I built a wall 2 stacks high around the first Analyzing station you find. A few days later as i came home from gathering I noticed a spider web inside my base. Seconds later, an Orbweaver charges at me from inside my base....

One good tip is to build lean ins by a ant hill you plan on raiding in case you die you can have a spawn thats close to the area you know you might die in a few times. Another good tip is to get jerky going. I have a large supply of jerky and it last FOREVER. Definitely the best item in the game. Also you need dew collectors and water containers and mushroom farms. Your base is very small you need to make it bigger to accommodate the items you need which are essential for way of life in this game. Let alone back to my previous point why the hell are you worried about ant looting your chest when your on a rock ???? They can't even get in it 😅😅

Hah, you are right - my base is most secured of them all ;) I'm not worried about me - I'm worries about other new players who don't know the ropes yet :D Jerky is a bit overrated - keep in mind, that food is without any bonuses ;) So grilled food has a benefit that jerky don't have. The tip about Lean In is the same 18. tip from my list :D And not only at Ant Hill but any location that might be needed to explore/farm again ;) Dew collectors as well as water containers are quite..let's say - you would want to have/test everything in the game ;) But I see you point and I agree - great quality of life items! Although I have never used water container, I filled it but I never needed to take water out of it :D I have everything I need in my base with all the resources what I need - there is absolutely no need for bigger base :D

I use plant fibers to make smoothies. If plant fibers are all over the ground it's the best way to recycle it.

Hell yes! :D And honestly speaking - I use anything/everything that is leftover..someone mentioned this in the comments - smoothie station is like a recycle for anything you don't need :D

this list need to be updated, u can store food in boxes u just need to have the boxes in a place ant cant reach like on the ball or a high rock u can even just build walls around your base and that stops them

About the box thing..yes and no :D Currently game mechanics allow ants to pull food out of container even if it is far away and not reachable..and besides that I have even captured screenshot where gnat (flying little annoying creature :D ) steals food out of the basket! So there is no currently a way..only building windowless box..which seems a bit overkill and inconvenient to access.

Water is safe for now but I bet it won't stay like that, when some new insects will come. Like spider walking on water, fishes maybe, leeches, etc.

@@MLMariss Hey MLMariss, have you done any research into how mobs spawn, better yet, how to prevent spawns? I know in Ark we could build foundations which would prevent spawns within like 12 foundations away from one placed foundation. I am trying to prevent Wolf Spiders from spawning inside my base, which I think happened yesterday as there should have been no way for it to get past my walls.

Hmm..I think they prevent this..for example under the oak tree spawn 2 Wolf Spiders, but tat the location is not allowed building! At least I've tried walls only and all I could do is a cage around them, which I did xD

I’m playing in woah and just finished connecting the tunnel and I killed all the ants inside. My question is I want to know if the ants will respawn? What difficulty are you playing on?

The ants you have to kill outside too - to decrease that population to trigger egg laying..if you see any out there ;) There is one guy going around my videos and claiming you can wipe out ants, but it's hardly believable and doesn't make any sense! I'm playing on medium difficulty.

Really enjoyed this! Very informative. Considering armor is mostly useless against Spiders as you say, could you perhaps talk about and show how to fight Spiders or other strong bugs? Perhaps talk about blocking and perfect blocking and if it's useful and how to get better at it? Blocking seems to be the way to go, but it's difficult for me at the moment. What do you suggest? Thanks!

Don't fight wolf spiders. Orb only until you can get more advanced tactics. Lady bug armour. Even traps and poison. Also when you get the plant hammer -the upgraded hammer break into the mint near the mystery machine near spawn and you have the best weapon in game full damage and stun once you actually craft it. Ant weapon is best until then. Acorn armour until lady bug I say.

I see very good advice here and question too! :) Spider hunt video is in the pipeline and I see 2 viable tactics - with and without blocking! But more on that I will provide in upcoming video and with all my findings :D Wolf Spiders are only for veteran survivors (and equipment), the better tactics and skills you have the less you depend on armor, but it helps for sure ;) And Mint Mallet is absolutely must have if we are talking about spider hunt :D Thank you both for the comments and support! :)

best armor is eyepatch+, chest with stanima, and die slipper forgot name more dmg and less stanima use, more stanima or health what you preffer, and faster sprint to dodge attacks and fight in 3rd person (U on keyboard)

I would suggest Spider armor tho ;) You will have way more defense, also speed boost, 3x stamina regen + most importantly the leg armor will not break down in few received hits, how it happens with the slippers ;) I have armor set video coming right up - you'll see it all explained there :D

You cannot. There is no move object option in the building menu. As of inventory stuff - just carrying to new chests ;) You could demolish things (losing half of the materials in process) pick the leftovers and build new things in new place..but I would advise to just leave old place/buildings as they are and build more/new..so you have more camps/bases.

Another good tip is GET THOSE SCABS also DO QUEST. Both are essential for leveling up in the game. You need raw science which is provided by finding them in werid areas ie. Ant hills, or by doing quest. (Edit) after you do the first set of quest you only get kill quest but i havint got anything under 100 raw science. I'd recommend getting and paying attention to the scanner. I have found a few 500 drops. Burg l chips are specifically what grants you higher upgrades like the upgraded torch, canteen, bandage, and eye patch which btw I seen you lacked to mention this OP item. increases your attack damage and attack stamina

SCAB.S give so little science..and if you don't have upgrade that shows their location..then it's way out of efficiency :D I could agree on daily quests - for example hunting 3 Wolf Spiders grant you 700 raw science, which is absolutely worth it compared to some SCAB.S hunt :D And it is not the more you do the better quests - they are random as afterwards I had again some low raw science reward quests. I need still to check those Eyepatch upgrades as for now it's not worth losing armor set bonus to get some lazy damage boost in my opinion. But with upgrade we could think of something..although I don't like idea about losing my good speed ;) But thank you for the comments and ideas! We could list more and more of them..of course, but I had to stop somewhere so 30 it was :D

I’ve got my base right next to the chop can lol Also, i’ve worked out, that most spider dens will roll an rng on which spider spawns, i’ve had 2 orb weavers and 3/4 wolf spiders next to the chop can spawn.

Oh boy, those larva..nasty creatures :D I'm not saying it is good to have that glitch, BUT you might find yourself in a situation where whole world resets :D That's your second chance then to keep larva cave (partially) sealed :D About the spiders..I'm not sure it is meant like that..as Wolf Spiders live in different..areas - caves, dark holes and such..but Weavers seems to be more wandering around on surface..there must be some random chance, but I also think they have their..assigned areas :) Anyways - our job is to get to the point where we fear none of them and we can take any spider down! :D

You understand that the buff on the lady armor is for when you block right? Let alone it still has alot of armor in general. Like for example if you block a wolf spider with that armor on you take almost no damage at all

I know that Ladybug armor pieces provide block strength, yes ;) And to be precise - bad block mitigation! If you pull of Perfect blocks (which is quite easily to do) then the pieces bonuses are pointless and so is the defense rating on armor :)

You are right! With Acorn/Spider/Ladybug armor - yes, it takes 1 full hit + few seconds poison ;) But other armors, for example Leaf armor :D that's a one hit death right away :)

@@MLMariss I'm not sure if you mentioned this in your armor video but if not. Theres a set buff besides what it tells you for each set of gear I do belive. For example. If you wear all ant armor ants don't attack you. If you wear all lady bug armor you get the effect called scrallet embrace which heals you over time, so much so that I was taking damage from no food or water and it would heal me to full health (thats when I realized all gear must have a effect when worn as a suit)

I havent watched the full video yet. I use map markers in color and icon code so I easily can navigate myself north east south west and get I general idea where to go without bringing up the map at night. I marked every research station I came across to optimize analyze efficiency early game.

Although I would suggest to use colors to mark area safety..because in the game in terms of gameplay - you don't care much if the direction you are going is east or south, right? I have planned armor video in production queue..and I had the same idea as you, BUT there is huge problem with such armor setup - every damage you receive (even from fall) is breaking those slippers..and honestly - they are breaking down so fast, that I cannot even recommend them for exploring :/ There are really nice armor bonuses AND set bonuses I will try to explain and show in the next video ;)

Well..there is no best :) If you are building your base - Ant armor set allows you to carry +3 items If you are fighting Wolf Spider - more armor AND more durability (stat is not displayed anywhere) AND health regen in case of bad block with poison on you will be better choice than Spider armor ;)

I've only had luck hiding in soda cans lol. I have 5 wolf spiders in less than 30 mins try to attack me in a little fort I built around a can.... I managed to kill all 5 in the can and never had a problem with then getting in. Larve and stink bugs are a whole other problem 🤣

I like how you guys keep trying to build high and keep food in inventory... I just built a fence around my base and kept the food on at least the second story.. Have NEVER had a problem with ANY bugs at my place.

Not trying - our food is also secure ;) The problem is - if your building/structure touches the ground - it can be killed. By ants, by larva, by spider, by anything - while you are gone. Give it a time and you'll see how and why we place them up from the ground :D

@@MLMariss My fence connects the base at 4 corners with a walkway all the way around. For them to destroy my base.. they would have to destroy the entire structure. They ONLY go for the base. I've seen spiders walk by and not aggro on me because the fence is far enough away from the base. 82 In game days.. No problems ever.

Actually didn't know you could build complete structures on rocks as my lean to and storage basket got broken into by ants on the rock near the machine. That's how I figured out the fence idea.. You've gotten pretty far too in the week the game has been out. Keep up the good work! :)

As many pointed out, Tip #6 is untrue. The bandages heal more than the smoothie, they just do it over a longer period of time. I use bandages mostly, and smoothie just for short-term or critical healing. Don't ignore the bandages, especially when you learn to craft them for just 1 sap and 1 plant fiber.

Upgraded version is way better material wise, that I can agree with. BUT when it comes down to heal per second - smoothies outperform bandages more than 7 times ;)

@@MLMariss That's very true, if you rapidly use the smoothies, they'll definitely heal more than any bandages can. However that is the classic difference between efficient/slow and inefficient/fast. One for one, the bandage heals more and is more efficient. The reason that matters is because you have very limited inventory space (since armor and weapons all take up space even when equipped). Since a single smoothie doesn't heal much, if you get hit by a wolf spider's leap attack, you have to drink several just to fill back up. If you rely on smoothies, you'll probably need to bring at least 3 stacks if you're going hunting (until you master the parry technique which makes wolf spiders as easy as ants to kill). What I recommend instead is to bring 1 stack of bandages and 1 stack of smoothies. You can first use a bandage and expect that to do all of the healing you need. If you take more damage, or are so low on health you think you may die, that is when you can supplement your health with a smoothie or 2. This way you keep your limited and precious inventory space available and you're efficiently healing (potentially with only bandages which you can replace out in the wild incredibly easily).

True, true - if you are careless and receive such damage a LOT, because otherwise for regen I use food ;) works ok and at the end it does not matter as much in terms of inventory space, because I go out with 20 smoothies and I'm forced to come back to base because of full inventory, not that I'm out of smoothies ;) So being said that..counting in fact that you make smoothies out of anything..or leftovers as I call them - that makes the stack of smoothies way easier to acquire than stack of bandages ;) And at the point where you can afford to get bandage upgrade - you should be able to avoid such damages and also parry quite well so the smoothies is still enough :) I see your point..as everyone else is objecting about me disliking bandages :D But at the end when you master it all then heal per second will save your life, not 20 secs waiting for health bar slowly climbing back up :)

Yes, please - check options, there is mode to make them..less scary! But to be honest..it's not a tip..just an advice from human to human :) the scariest part without even this phobia are those sounds spiders make when they engage..try also muting/turning off sounds for that time - it's really bad advice in general, as you need to hear little bugs and ants, and others..but I just had phone call, muted game.and afterwards went against some spiders and find them WAY less scary than with sound! Second best tip I can give..which currently should be actually doable - around spider spawn spots (small locations usually) you can build up walls..and if they are not enraged - they don't attack those walls and just sit inside them..so in theory..with a lot of work..you can turn that backyard to little spider zoo cages and safe for you to move around :) I hope anything of this helps and you can enjoy the game! :)

BTW this point is way more complicated..as with perks and bonuses you can get it down to 1 chop and grass goes down..so there is deeper calculations behind the animation - like grass has specific amount of health and chopping does specific amount of 'damage', so longer holding does more than that (double I guess), but when those bonuses kick in - there is various results how much chopping is needed to find that sweet spot between fast and durable :D

With acorn armor and a mint mace you can 1v1 anything in this game with smoothies on the hot bar. You won't win a 2v1 as easy but even wolf spiders can be 1v1 with acorn armor and mint mace. But by the time you get mint you should be able to get spider or lady bug armor which in that case you can go out on your own and be fine unless your a bot

With Mint Mallet the armor is optional at all ;) And it all comes down to what playstyle you have - nimble attacker or heavy blocker and depending on that you should choose your armor - that's all explained in armor video tho :D I see no added value of Acorn armor set to be honest and Mint Mallet can be picked up on 1st day of the game ;) Been there, done that. Twice :D

@@MLMariss my first run which is still my current run with three other people, took us tell our second or third day of playing. Probably 15 or so in game days. We are building off the top of the rack rock and building over the map to have easy access to all the resource areas. Like blue berries, gas, acorn areas. I found out when your up high (as high as the rack rock) theres no gas, so we can free roam that way. I can't wait for them to add to the maps as I explored the entirety of it, even areas that looked like you shouldn't go there lead me somewhere. Have you found the hamster tunnels in the blueberri bush ?

I have to see it now! :D One huge difference I see we can acknowledge between yours and my gamplay is I play alone and you have full party..so that changes few things..as resource gathering need, how much and how big to build.. But yea - I had idea about sky bridges, but for a Lone Wolf that would take too much time :)

@@MLMariss yes so originally you have to go to the first elevation point at the blue berry bush and climb and find the way allllll the over the other side of the bushes to find this. Its a long and adventures journey. The branches will lead you to the bird fountain and thats when you'll know you made it to the correct spot. Go to the top of the fountain (which is one of the quest, how we found it) and look for the branch that leads to un explored area basically keep track of where you came and keep going. You'll eventually find find the cool science lab in the Bush that you cannot access atm. Also if you find the correct branch, it leads to the Frisby with the blood mother spider thats only a little more powerful then the other spiders. Its like a boss. I wouldint fight it on your own but there is a scab up there. Also while your by the tunnels theres a couple of 500 raw science drops just sitting around waiting to be found in werid areas. We built into the bush where the tunnles are starting from below the stone wall to give it easier access because we could not find any other easier way to get to this cool spot. Its a long journey from the orginal place (all the way back) also real quick, you can go from single player to multi-player on the same game save

Tip number 10: dont repair tool, just craft new ones with the common resources. Tip number 11: dont waste durability on your tools early game, punch them instead . Honestly would you actually prefer punching stuff rather than finding a few rocks, fibers and spigs that are literally everywhere.

Please what? Outdated? 1st: Bandages > Usual Smoothies. More Slot efficient. 2nd: Food in Storage. Build on high Ground like a Rock and you are good. 3rd: I'm using LadyBug Armor, and i keep killing Wolf Spiders without Glitches or Bugs. just 1v1 without getting 1hit 4th: There are 3 Spiders. Orb Weavers, Wolf Spiders and Hedge Broodmother 5th: If you want to lose a Spider tracking you, climb on a Rock or something like that and shot the Spider to make it flee.

1 Any smoothie > Any bandage = heal efficient (heal per second). 2 Even if container is above ground, unreachable, distant from ant - it can get food out of your basket. 3 I'm killing Wolf Spiders in slippers :) I can do it also with no armor at all - that doesn't prove/change anything. 4 Hedge Broodmother is just a name currently in the game. Beeing reported it's a Orb Weaver (as it shoots web) with Wolf Spider skin..as well dies faster than Wolf Spider..so yes and no here ;) 5 This is a good tip - with one side note: IF you are still in its territory, it will keep tracking you down when you jump down from the obstacle! But otherwise this is tip 23. ;)

I survived an attack from a wolf spider without blocking with the ladybug armor

The armor DO help a little bit for sure - yes! But the fight is never over with 2 Wolf Spider attacks :D And I've noticed at least 2 attacks it does - the melee and jumping and it seems for me they deal different amount of damage..but yes - this is a good point! If you have really the best (yet available) armor - you will notice difference!

Some spider webs need level two axes specifically so the not using a tool to break webs in not accurate

Spider webs ask only to be damaged - no tool required. Similarly as you chop down grass, the 'stump' that is left behind can be gathered with bare hands - and so is the spider web ;) It's just faster to do with the higher damage weapon/tool :)

@@MLMariss maybe you can use level two weapon/tool but there is definitely level two webs that you need to use a level two weapon or tools for. There's webs by one of my bases by the science lab, by the wood walls that require a level 2 weapon or tool

Interesting - haven't seen such web yet, so that area by wooden wall and science lab - that's on the left of the oak tree? Where Orb Weaver spiders are roaming around..? I haven't payed attention there to webs, gonna check it out :)

Top tip. Oak tree has a ants nest an lady bugs. Take one to an ants nest n u will have enough RSS for like 10+ full sets or ant gear in like 3mins for free

I'm trying to capture the idea, you need to explain a bit more..I'm slow :D Near oak tree is abandoned ant hill - yes, and there are ladybugs around - yes. Take one ladybug? To nest? That is empty cave..so why? And just to clarify what is RSS in this context again? :D If you could elaborate a bit more - we could have one more awesome tip for everyone! ;)

No worries, I get you! ;) So the leaf and water drops..that all indicates to the Abandoned Ant Hill location - can you check the map if that's it? There must be a landmark right there..but now I wonder - it is saying abandoned, so for me and others there are 3 soldier ant spawns and nothing else.. o.O Could the game glitch and populate that hill for you maybe? :D That sounds like a good glitch for me! :D

Have you tried smoothies? Have you checked the production cost of each of healing items? Have you counted in resource gathering time? :) Yes, the healing is coming though..slowly and with huge gaps between the ticks..they are not as bad as I paint them, but still smoothies win by big margin :)

Well I made a mistake also by not double checking and waiting enough to see the full effect of bandages! Only after everyone screamed at me I went back and did more testing to fully capture it.. :) So the bandages are better than I thought, but still not as good as smoothies..in my experience and opinion ;) Thanks for the comment!

Absolutely - this all is for current game only :D Not sure about water spiders..BUT there is already datamined and showed huge fish in the point..like 5-6 times size of the spider :D So I assume..even if they are not as creepy as spiders..they will eat player in no time :D

Without blocking..? With block (not perfect block) I believe other armors can withstand more blows as well..usually it's the poison that finishes off the job ;)

So i store alot of food in a box and it seems your far in the game. I'm pretty far too but my base its ALOT more bigger and stronger and I can most definitely say that no ant is going to get my MASS storage of food. So maybe your tips should be more like "know that ants can steal from your storage but if you have walls and a door then can't " haha I mean seriously all you need is walls and a door. They can't open doors. Also if you kill ants, soldiers show up so don't kill them near your base

Bugs can chew walls if they feel it is an obstacle, larvae cheeky walls just to move around.

Guilty as charged - this is the one and only resource currently that is NOT respawning! Besides blockades in caves - they do not respawn as well, but those are planty elsewhere :)

Hit the mints 3 times each. It will regenerate after you sleep. You can get 12 mints per day as long as you need. Just be sure to hit ONLY 3 times, 4 breaks them then they are gone forever.
