Hey brother I’m not sure if this would matter to you, but I am also a bass fisherman. Fluorocarbon line does not stretch nor does braided line and tends to be a little thinner for the same Lb test. If your using monofilament line it does stretch. Great video brother and I’ll be trying that on mine soon as I can keep it on the road!!… 😂😂
Awesome vid bro, I have been wanting to do this for a while. I'm giving their slicks a shot for the 1st time, if they don't work out for me, I will give this mod a try before going back to foams lol. Thanks for sharing! 😎 👍
Thanks. KBASH likes the slicks and they have worked out well for him. He’s got plenty of 140+ passes on them and they’ve been holding on. I know they will not hold for much faster than 150+ but if you can hold life in them as long as possible and still put up 140-150 on them, I think it’s a win.
@@speeedy_rc yeah, it was Kbash who recommended the slicks to me & since I'm using them on my new GT build for 3S-4S runs, I know I won't be going any faster than mid 130s for the moment at least lol. I'm just tired of blowing GRPs, love hate relationship 🤦♂️😄.
So since you put these fishing lines on how fast was it you had these grp’s? I had my xm7 at 147 multiple times wooly a blowout but I guess I’ve been lucky.
That’s too much work to run a GRP.. actually you don’t have to do that.. Kenny Malenko ran these tires for years without doing any of that.. back to back runs and his tires never blew🤔.. wonder why?
It’s helped me out on extending the life of my GRPs and Ive been able to run at higher speeds longer because of it. It’s really not all that much work for some piece of mind.
