These guys are the best hobby shop around. I highly recommend paying them a visit, they carry high end equipment, and they’re extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Foam tires- Pros 1) Very Good for high speed applications 2) Whole tire doesn't come on done but small chunks when there is a problem. So car still controllable when there is a problem-Cons-1)Very poor traction so not good for slippery conditions. Belted Rubber tires- Pros 1) Good for high speed applications 2) Has good to exceptional handling depending on the type of rubber used in slippery conditions. cons-1) Whole tire come comes on done when there is a problem so you can lose total control of your car when there is a problem.
@@tomsrbruckner the down side of these tires that I have realized while using them is their positive offset rims, I wonder if there are also available in zero offset. The positive offset makes them hard to be used in may vehicles as the whole tires interfere with the drive chain forcing the user maybe to reduce on the turning angle and do other adjustments. I just wonder why would one make search a nice tire on a positive offset ream.
Great explanation...new to onroad tyres and yesterday my existing tires exploded. Seems GRP is where its at. Big bucks for some tyres but think it is the way to go.

I've blown the same glue joint on the same tire, both times I've run it. Sounds like a flat, flapping away, and this is before 60 on a super slash, and vorza flux original. Only one tire does it, but has done each run. I've reglued twice, in two runs.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video!! 👍 You clearly explained the difference between these tires, & even more importantly, the difference between the soft & harder tires. I'm starting to get into speed runs & needed to upgrade my stock traxxas rustler 2wd tires. Specially when my brushless system comes in, because even right now with my current gearing with the Titan 12T brushed motor, these tires are ballooning up like the stay puft marshmallow man lol. 😄 Hmmm 🤔.... Wonder if I can also drill the stock tires to prevent them from ballooning. Anyhow, great video bro, 👍 up for sure!
Hi Those tires that are not belted will balloon even with the holes. The holes are there for two reasons. One is for cooling, the other is for minor expansion. If you end me your name and address, I'll send you a FREE tee shirt.
@@tomsrbruckner aahh, ok. That makes better sense. Awesome, thanks!!... Just let me know where I can send you the info 👍 Just did my test run today, posted the video on RU-vid today. Did 38mph with my current gearing, 31/76. It was a baseline test to see where I'm at, on a mission to get 50mph out of the brushed titan motor before I change it to the brushless setup!

I need just good tires for my 4tec. The tires they come with are terrible. But I can't find a tire that will fit the rear. Does anyone have an answer. I live in N.Y & nobody seems to know
Question… is corse / large asphalt considered low traction or high traction? Also do softer compounds blow out easier than hard compound? Or do they all handle about the same speed ratings?
Hey Danny your getting old man lol just kidding ...bruckner hobbies has been my hobby shop for years prices are unbeatable there I recommend anyone here ...
It depends on the power that you will have. These tires are 3.75 inches tall. The S4 is the softest and works well in cool weather. The S7 is for hot weather and is harder. The S4 is used in drag racing.
GIOSTEALTHR1 SENT ME Please pick me I currently have a slash 2wd and when I go to the desert to ride dirt bikes the 2wd doesn’t work that great. I would really enjoy the s max. Thanks
