Same I’ve been checking back on him every year or so and can’t seem to find anything besides collaborations. It this point it’s become kind of an epic album. Maybe he should just let it be and release music under a different name...

As a fan of technical music, improvisational, and avant-garde, I will say that I am so incredibly amazed at the level of craftsmanship this album embodies. Pure, future, relevant, cosmic, timeless, soulful, and beautiful. This is something I want with me when I die. It's so cosmically me. I haven't heard a musician light a fire in me since I first heard of Buckethead back in the late 90's. This album is on a cosmic level of traveling and just being. Both are so timeless in their crafts and cosmic expressions. I love music :) You can compare this album to some of John Coltrane albums, but next-generational level. Future. Gru is the future.

Not really, Z1-Reticuli is similar, but not the same, I would say Fermi Paradox may be inspired by this song, both have sweep picking and jamming around longplayed chords, but song by Sol Niger Within is much more darker and it is in minor key. Fermi paradox is in major key.
