I get what you're saying, but personally I think that its quite an exaggeration to say 3/4 are very similar. First ability has many similarities and is most likely the most representable comparison for what you are saying (a slow, has DOT, it's a Q ability w/ relatively low mana cost & cooldown), but the rest are only ever so slightly similar.
@@warrenrijavec9910 are you braindead? warden has unit targeted DoT and slow, blink and small AoE nuke, qop has exactly the same, how is that an exaggeration?
@@warrenrijavec9910 Are you normally so willfully ignorant? Her kit is full on the warden's kit but with the q god forbid having better cast range and less impact damage. The scream and blink are full on functionally identical lol
As you notice Grubby improving, you can also see the expectations and frustration building up when teammates don't make good plays. It's interesting to see how correlated they are.
0:50 "...what *ASSets* she can bring in to the battle...," said Grubby with a cheeky tongue, as he made the camera follow the scantily dressed character from behind.
What I don't get is why Grubby has so much difficult just afk farming on hard carries when hes pos1. But when hes playing one of the strongest early game fighting heroes, he sits in the jungle.
Here's a hot Guardian 3 take - he probably feels as though he needs as much gold as he can have when playing pos 1, hence the ridiculous unfavorable fights. On the other hand, the fighting heroes early strength lulls you into a false sense of security, because hey, they can kill anyone easily, might as well farm a bit to do it with style!(which is basically true, but Grubs afks until he can't anymore)
I don’t think he has that much of a grasp yet on ganking heroes and making space for team a.k.a pos 3. He stuck on the pos.1 role for the hero when it is a natural position 3/2 at best.
@Grubs, in my eyes Sonic wave + damage lvl 25 is kind of baity. At any point in the game where lvl25 talent is available one single right click (two at most) is probably as much damage -if not more- than 200, even if it's pure damage. On the other hand the survivability provided by blink, specially in the late portion of any match, is beyond a doubt extremely useful, and it doesn't stop there; it also provides the mobility to be more active around the map, push lanes, and with shard added on top you are more of a nuisance with silence blink (this is more advance though, it's preferable to know all the ins and outs of every hero before attempting mindlessly to blink-silence).
when grubby compared qop to warden i just realised how similar they r...shadow strike, blink, and scream of pain is just fan of knives...only difference is the ulti
This is why he's not getting over the hump. You guys keep babying him. Let him learn and don't water down his mistakes, he's already not being accountable.
I feel like the 2-3 minutes spent in the jungle around 26 min put his team behind on the map. He comes out of the jungle to every outer tower being pushed and even tp's to bot to catch the wave. Waves are worth more than camps.
A few things: 1. You had Kaya and Sange, so you can disassemble it and get Halberd if you really need it. 2. You can kill T4 tower after T3 tower is taken down, no need to destroy the barracks first. If you think you have enough damage, you can end the game that way.
You've gotten much better at the game but still could use some time to think about what you should be doing on each hero. For instance I really don't think you should jungle focus early on QoP. Maximize your strengths. Her strength is dominating battles early game. She is never really that good late game, even when fed.
I havent been keeping up with the streams lately but I feel like Grub has to re-play this hero as a proper mid. Also at this point the enemy has 3 heroes he's not as familiar with being Sandking, Ursa, and Venge.
it is funny that he went deep into q and 4 heroes he isup against are Riki, Sand king, Ursa, Vengeful spirit. If they had a hero starting with T instead of axe it would be perfectly countering him with everything he didnt play.
he doesn't need to replay certain hero if any hero that he plays sucks as hell because grubby doesn't understand when to stop farming and actually help his team
Someone needs to train Grubby and challenge him to not farm a single Jungle creep during a match to give him practice for characters who are way better at farming heroes or lanes.
Slacks tried to do that but he lacks the sense of urgency to create space and hunt down the map at all times like a position 3. I think he is right now comfortable of filling the inventory slots to feel prepared for a teamfight as like a safeplay. Maybe he found the most success on this route at the moment.
@@marcjanverdelantar9605 The problem is he just gets distracted. I'm not talking about kill pressure and not farming at all. Puck, Queen of Pain, Pugna, other cast-focused heroes like those with solid AoE are much much better at farming lanes than farming jungle. But while Grubby gets distracted spending a whole minute trying to kill Ancients on Pugna, he missed triple the net worth of the Ancients in the 2 lane waves that went unsoaked in the lane beside him. Puck ESPECIALLY is incredibly strong at clearing lane waves and is the safest hero for clearing lanes, it's why Boots of Travel are recommended for them. But Grubby insisted on trying to get measly 100~ gold clears from little jungle camps that take way longer for Puck. And whenever anyone tells him otherwise, he just ignores them and insists that he needs the gold, like, yea of course you do but this method of getting gold (especially when you have carries that are much better at farming jungle but shouldnt be farming lanes due to gank pressure) is inefficient...
its normal i think its like a dead time, farming jungle for an item may seem safer especially with vision and minimap than laning depending on game time.
@@pika2031 she's not terrible as a 4, it's just that she doesn't bring anything to the role that other heroes don't do better at. But still workable. Playing 5 is grief though.
The reason why people pick -2 blink is people play her around right click She has really good attack time and stats Making her really strong with bloodthorn and MKB
From the lineup alone I could tell they will surely lose, unless there’s an exceptional player a.k.a DK or sniper specialist who can overturn the disadvantage from disables that radiant has.
You're really good for a first timer. You know how to take the easiest kill. That's definitely a qop job. You only missed the last call, if you take rosh instead of barracks, you can deny their aegis and stall the game for at least 10 mins. In late game, you should prioritize bkb, buybacks, aegis, big ult. That's it
It was unlucky that 4 of the heroes on the enemy team were heroes you didnt play considering you were up to Q in the alphabet. Your instict to farm as Pos 1 is right despite what others say buy you buy safety items when you spend most of the time safely farming anyway. Buy farming gear first and then go defensive. An early Maelstrom would make a huge difference in your networht, and would tie invery well with a Skaadi. Then turn it into Mjolnir. Sange Kaya also increase Maelstorm/Mjolnir damage. So it gives you a mana free way to pick up low damage creepst that survived your e and also a way to do near 300 damage lightnings to enemy team in team fights.
in the first 15, 20 games of the challenge, going jungle with every hero and never tping was funny. After being coached by so many pros, its not funny nor conceivable how a former wc3 pro fails to understand that not all the heroes are afk junglers
at least use E to secure last hits in lane or to get multiple, no use saving mana and losing gold just like they are walking back, it was a good game for you though wp
too passive? he's farming too much and doesn't tp to help allies, even it it's a new hero to him, he should understand by now how to help out the team.
Lol, let him get to know the heroes and when it’s ranked and he really tries to clime in rank he can focus on doing that stuff. Don’t forget it’s a game, and it’s about having fun. He will learn to play aggressive when he is comfortable with the heroes and knows exactly how strong he is. Unnecessary comments IMO
@@FollowGrubby It's true, he was my buddies main, but he dropped him for slark cause of how bad he was lol. Also, a lot of characters didnt even have an Agh's upgrade. And the shard didn't even exist.
You had a bad team. You almost carried that game. Nice micro. In that one fight in their jungle you shouldnt go for creeps camps. Thats too dangerous. Really concentrate in that situation on the positioning that you are with your team. I guess they had vision on you venge was always hitting here spell on you. Your DK had really bad items for that late game.
You guys lost because you never intervened before bkb. I absolutely disagree that you don't get involved if you are position 1. That is sheer arrogance. Past 10 mins, it is all teamfight. All i see you is running around with little to no team contribution. It is sheer arrogance or what. Position 1 needs to see what opponents play. If any of your team members aren't able to get kills and suppress the other team, You need to step up your game and make clever plays while using the mini map. You have a bloody blink and that should allow you to position yourself in perfect situations and places to make the perfect play. Arrogance in playing is not going to take you anywhere. For you it might be near perfect to win, but it was actually sus. You didn't pressure axe and venge pretty much early on. And you let every other guy die by your enemies in your same lane if you are playing carry. That is sheer stupid. You don't even make plays to save them. Unless you are playing carries that cannot help substantially like Faceless void or Riki, try making plays in order to save your allies. You don't believe me, just see Yatoro play carry. That guy is nuts and he also makes plays in order to save allies.
@@m.h.4907 I mean, it all depends on whether you are playing from ahead or behind. If you are ahead, make sure you are ahead. Go for pickoffs early . Witch's blade early on is good. Kill Ursa before he gets shard. Prioritise main enemies. In this game it was Ursa and Axe. And build accordingly. And they become dangerous when they have blink dagger which they will always buy. Scythe of vyse should be the next item. An early disable doesn't hurt. The thing is that if you don't pressurise Ursa early on, he would farm Roshan anyway. Kill him while he is doing Roshan. And put a ward overlooking the Roshan area. Ursa doesn't want to build Bkb early on because it has damage resistance already in its ultimate. When he is enraged, turn him into a chicken. And hit him with spells after his enrage is gone. Bloodthorn is the obvious next item as it intensifies the damage on the target. By this time almost every opponent carry has a bkb. Let the bkb run out before you hit them with bloodthorn. The next item can be Octarine Core or Eye of Skadi depending on what you are wanting to do with your character. Both of them will give you survivability. I would personally take Skadi because there are some heavy hitters in the opponents team. The modified attack would slow movement speed of Ursa even if he has bkb on which would reduce his mobility. And buy wards for your safety. Don't rely too much on support unless you are not higher up the ladder. Buy wards if he doesn't provide any. Going into a unwarded area during nightime is certain death. This is what I mostly found during most of Grubby's games. In terms of level power spike, level 2 shadow strike along with 2-3 hits literally eats almost half the hp of some heroes. Keep your distance and harass them. When you are level 6 make sure you kill any of the pos1,2 or 3 with it. I saw this one instance when Grubby was farming in the jungle he had the witch's blade and he had a decent farm and he used ulti to farm creeps. Meanwhile his team was slaughtered when they were defending the top tower. They lost it because it was a 4 vs 5. Grubby didn't come stating it was a that he didn't have ulti. Maybe he could have tipped the scales in his favour of he had ulti and went up to save some of his teammates. Absolutely bad sportsmanship. Don't ever do this. Not every hero is Medusa or Faceless Void. So you need to play accordingly. Whoever was playing Riki, he was absolutely nuts on targeting Grubby. Hats off to him.
