This video presents the six bells h0 -d1 -e1 -f#1 -a1 -h1 [si2 -re3 -mi3 -fa#3 -la3 -si3] of St.Ottmar church in Grünenbach.
The peals is named "The cathedral peal of Grünenbach".
➥ During the Second World War, only a small bell from the Ulrich foundry remained in the Gruenenbach tower. After the war, however, a complete new set of bells was to be made from a single casting. Under the impression of the ensemble in Lindenberg, the order for the six new bells in Grünenbach also went to the Petit and Edelbrock bell foundry in Gescher. With the 700th anniversary of the parish in mind, the large bell was also realised at the great sacrifice of the parishioners.
Using the middle bell shape, a ensemble with a total weight of 6.5 tonnes was created, which is one of the largest bells in the West Allgäu region. The bells are visually modelled on the design of the bells in Lindenberg.
All the bells are housed in the belfry built in 1869. However, in order to safely support the weight of the new bells, parts of the wooden belfry were removed in 1949 and replaced with steel girders, a particularly interesting construction.
The ringing is dominated by the large bell, which hangs directly in front of the sound windows, dominating and pushing the other bells into the background, especially in the direct sound range.
