@@mialia15104 leia, firstly, whatever your opinion is, the way you speak is disrespectful. I’m sorry you feel that way. For me, adhd has been the tool that helped me think past my environment. It was difficult being the only one who, not by choice, thought beyond my circumstances. It is in fact not a human thing to evolve. Are you a POC? Or do you have generational trauma that your family refuses to change and you’re the first one? It is a gift and a curse. You’re saying adhd is a struggle, perhaps that’s because that’s your perspective, not an objective fact that it is in no way beneficial to social evolution, or that people w adhd are more inclined to create change because of their creative and constant minds. Me saying that it helped me evolve by making me work through the anxiety and depression amongst other things other people without adhd didn’t have, doesn’t mean it’s not difficult? Idk why you’re feeling so defensive. Perhaps it’s your adhd noticing when you feel negatively, so you overthink it and have to control opinions to feel calmer and less adhd type obsessive. It is because adhd helps you recognize when there are problems, like those negative emotions. That’s why people w adhd have more mental illness. When you think more you’re bound to come up with more solutions. I’m unable to avoid the truth because my mind will always redirect to obsessive spiraling thoughts. Saying adhd is purely a struggle is false. Some of the most intelligent and creative minds have adhd. It is most certainly a superpower if you learn to control your thoughts. It forces you to address your problems because you can’t avoid them or you won’t be able to focus on other things. It’s more difficult to compartmentalize. My family that doesn’t have attention issues never has to worry about their thoughts being extrapolated and a continuous stream of consciousness reflecting. Further, your adhd might be different than mine because of our personalities, it is not a universal experience. It is an effect or tool that can be applied variously. You don’t really know what I’m talking about with family evolution and adhd, I’m guessing you’re really young too, so it’s best to stop invalidating and competing for no reason.

its not quirky and its not fun. its a debilitating disability that can lead to dangerous impulsivity, financial ruin, feeling of incompetence, inability to handle stress, task paralysis, ruined relationships, anxiety and depression, overstimulation and breakdowns. its so much more than thinking more thoughts at once. im glad you aren’t struggling and using it positively, but how dare you completely disregard the negatives it comes with. ive seen my little brother struggle so much with it, it makes me want to cry:(
