i had to piece the kit from airsoft parts, which worked surprisingly well to this day, they sell metal cocking tube, different variety of stocks, trigger housing for gsg 5 with safety lever, and with short barrel this gun can look good..., mine was definately more money than the kit, but i can still source everything to this day except short barrel, but it's doable.
I got mine about a month ago and love it! I bought the HK push pins, some sling mounts, and a reflex sight for the rifle. I want to find one of these conversion kits now. Thanks for the videos on the rifle, they were very helpful in my decision to buy the firearm.
I converted a 522 into a 5. Also a metal collapsible stock, H&K rear sight, and a metal picatinny tri-rail handguard. Put way too much money into it but i love it and im not paying 3k plus for an mp5
Obviously, you haven't seen my 12 ways to pimp my gsg16. If you did you would not be asking. Only an airsoft company would design something like this. A fully loaded mag can fall off when the contacts are worn or its jolted.
@@Sabi1234567890Asdf sorry, I don't see your comparison to AR grip, you cant see the compartment. The mag holder in the buttstock is a dumb idea. Fully loaded mag will fall, trust me... It's like putting a roof rack on your sport car, no one saying you have to use it but its still there and it's ugly.
I am so excited to see what you can do with this gun. Love your videos. I will be eagerly awaiting a follow up to this with all the modifications! Keep up the great work! Merry Christmas!
@@gnutzguy I have been looking around for viable airsoft handguards and stocks to fit. They are relatively cheap options but I cannot speak to the quality.
I don’t think I would’ve ever imagined a person complaining about having too many rails😳 When I saw those rails all I thought was that I can add so much to this gun🤓lol
too many rails makes it look like an expensive airsoft gun. they need to stop using their airsoft engineers (thats how they started) and hire real gun engineers.
@@Sabi1234567890Asdf yes , but im still reminded by others of my expensive airsoft gun. Lol. You should check out the gsg-15, receiver is made of aluminum, perfecto.
@@Sabi1234567890Asdf or the IISC mk22, same as gsg-15 except for the stock. I prefer the IISC stock cos it's a copy of FN Scar. Yes, of cos I removed the rails.
Question about the trigger. I know it's a 5.5lbs. Hows the creep and break? Also have you or heard of anyone lighting up the trigger? I'm a gunsmith by trade so it wouldn't be a hard task for me to do.
Nonsense, is what I said to a Mike a year ago, you wouldnt to be that same Mike by any chance? Please check my vid on the gsg-16 bolt disassembly as to why i think its nonsense.
@@gnutzguy I got it yesterday went straight to the range,, just ordered some extra mags and a drum for it earlier. Do the gsg 5s hold more value than the gsg 16s?
without a doubt cos 1) you dont have to spend anymore money if you have a GSG5. 2) they are NOT allowed to make GSG5 anymore while the are still producing the GSG16. i spend a lot of money on airsoft furniture. coming soon another pimp me shoot on GSG16.
@@gnutzguyokay good to know, I got the gsg 5 22 for 400. kinda feel like I paid a tad to much. but it's the most fun 400 dollar purchase I've ever made
i have the old version gsg sd version that had all the stuff you are installing already on it i do like the more tactical rail on the new version but thats about it
i like it just the way it is...minus the picatiny rails but you can take them off if you do not need some of them and just add small ones that you can buy for cheap or cover them with picatiny rail index clips so they are rounded off and covered i do not like the conversion kit look.
@@gnutzguy if it comes with it I'll end up selling the kit so that it's as if I got the gun free in waiting to get it in my gun shop that I ordered it from but they ran out so if it comes with it I'll be doing that.
Lol. I rather be a woman thinking than a teenager thinking. You think a gun looks cool with more rails so they can put every accessories on it like pop-up sights, NV, red dot , magnifier with flip attachment, laser. Flash light, bipod, sling attachment. V. Grip. Angle grip. You probably love that rail on the buttstock so much. you attached a cheek rest, lol.
@@DylanSanders-i3c I've not seen an OEM cheek rest for it. Sure anyone can stick a rail on it but how convenient is it? You have to remove or flip it up everytime you collapse the stock. It's a dumb design. Why do you think most of us just change the stock. You don't feel it is bcos you are assuming all of us have your facial structure.... Not, lol
I hope you get this. Lol! I really need to know the size of die you used to thread the suppressor on to your cocking tube. I have read too many different things. Last I heard was 5/8 26. I'm lost please help. If you want to contact me on CGN, I go by Darkstang. Cheers!
@@gnutzguy You are awesome! Thank you. I was going to make something similar to the ProMag muzzle adapter. I've installed a GSG5p barrel on my 16 and as you know I have no threads on the end of the barrel. It was a much cheaper alternative to the Dlask barrel.
I have the gsg 16 coming later this week and I too thought it was exceptionally light when I held it and would like more weight but I can’t find this kit anywhere online. Do you know where I can get it
The last time I saw a kit available was last year in a gun forum asking $300. Yikes!!! . Check out one of my vid , I show you how to make the kit. Good luck.
not cover up both sides, just one side cos i want to retain the feeder tap so i spent an hour looking at the mag and i found a way to do one side, i ordered the part. i dont know if it will work so stick around.
@@jonkrawchuk in canada, sometimes in the gun forum but i dont believe its worth it. best you wait for my next vid, it has bunch of new furniture for far less.
Also the gsg522 dosnt not require any "mod" to install or fit the kit to the guns... by taking things into your two hands is very dangerous.. it sounds like you know it's not the right kit if you have to modify your gun just to make it work.. I never had to "mod" my 522 to get the kits on or working properly. And it came with every piece the gun was missing to turn it into a mp5 nothing missing or needing modded.. im kinda worried about your safety...
I modified mine, I bought a couple of binary triggers from the us (Colorado) and brought them back just to install a couple of 22s I have, a ruger and gsg se
but it was no good publicity when gsg had to admit they wronged h&K and paid them $300,000 in 2009 and then gsg sued h&k in 2014 followed by h&k countered lawsuit. the fact we dont have gsg5 today means gsg lost every court cases against h&k and at a cost of probably (my guess) of a million dollars. the only winner here are the lawyers. you and i paid for the lawsuits so was this done on purpose? i hope not cos thats crazy.
no, copy right infringements has nothing to do with any country and my complaints are legitimate to what i have in front of me, i cant make a vid on an "IF" gun.
