GT-1 Quick Start chapter9 : Editing the Patch Easily 

I thought that as well for a while but, for gigs I now save my patches needed as a live set in the order I need it. I know people thing stuff can go wrong but, I have my gt-1 setup in a stomp mode on the 1/2 button and I use an external controller for my up/down patch changing. So far hasn’t failed me!

@@JosePineda-jn8jk Any idea how do set GT1 to Clean sound, metal and blues. While playing the guitar i find it is uneasy to switch between the patch as there are 99 patch.

@@Mac-bn if you aren’t using an external pedal then I can totally understand how you find that more challenging. For me, I was only able to get it working the way I needed by getting an external pedal and then mapping the patch up/down to the external pedal. This allowed me to use the GT1 in stomp box mode (each button on the GT1 is a different pedal) as opposed to scrolling up/down with the GT1 due to the mushy buttons. The only thing I can think of would be patch 1, clean, patch 2 blues sounds (at the edge of breakup to mid gain) with the ctrl switch be a boost, and patch 3 a more metal tone. But again you’d be switch patches not just in stomp box mode like I was utilizing it.

@@JosePineda-jn8jk Thanks for your advice, I find it difficult to use and need preparation if i want to use more than 2 or 3 effects before using it on stage, I find it is easier to use the effect pedal with the pedal board. Once again thanks

@@Mac-bn do you need a lot of very different sounds at a gig or just one main sound with maybe some distortion & delay to add in? If you need a lot of sounds then you will definitely need to make multiple patches and I would strongly suggest getting a cheap external 2 button footswitch that feels clicky for patch up/down. This makes you feel way more confident when switching patches that you won’t make a mistake. If you only need like one main sound then you can do a lot in stomp box mode but, to change patches you’d have to bend down and turn the knob without an extra switch. I’d say mess with stomp box mode and try out some amps like the ac30 and test it out with the metal zone. You may be able to get clean and metal in one but, for blues I think you’d need a separate patch to sound decent.
