GT1000 Update V4 - NEW High Gain Amps 

I’m happy they updated the units but I’m so sad they didn’t add any new modulation, delays, or reverbs.

Just received my brand new GT-1000 3 days ago and I play metal. I couldn't be happier.

Dave, thank you for the content-great chops and amazing tones. I also love my GT1000. My only wish is that it would support a long press for functions like tuning or mode switching. This feature would allow for 8 actions per preset. Right now, there are only 4 (realistically 3, because tuner)

Yes! Love updates and they come so rarely from Boss. I just got a Katana Gen 3, so this is doubly awesome. Thanks for the update and all the great videos on the GT1000.

Shet. Great news. Haven’t been happy with the Core’s IR/Cab stuff once I started to sample other pedals - stopped using it for that. Perhaps this’ll bring it back to the center!

The addition of the SD is glorious! I still used my SD pedal in front of the Core ‘till now.

Hi Dave ! I love your videos and you are one of rare people that love the GT-1000 like me I think. I also purchased a Tone Master Pro because I'm curious to see what it can do and because of it's simplicity of use. It would be great if you could make a comparison beetween the both and tell what you like or dislike.

I've used the GT-1000 for years (live too), mostly for 80s hard rock/metal sounds. So, I'm most excited to try the X-Ultra and SD-1 options. More bass amps is also great.

So great that you got to check these out behind the scenes before release. Any word from your contact at Boss for future updates like this for the GT1000? Its been great seeing all the online groups light up again.

X-ULTRA X-OPTIMA X-TITAN * Preset patches that use the added TYPE settings are contained in P41-1 through P43-5. For details, refer to "GT-1000 Sound List." 6 types of bass amps have been added to AIRD PREAMP. STUDIO BASS SILVER TUBE CLASSIC BLUE SOLID STACK FAT TUBE DARK DRV 2 BOSS distortion types have been added to DISTORTION. SD-1 DS-1 The following 3 models have been added to AIRD OUTPUT SELECT. KATANA-100/212 GEN 3 KATANA-100 GEN 3 KATANA-50 GEN 3 Functionality Improvement You can set time preference in AUTO OFF function at which the power turns off automatically. Bug Fix Minor bugs have been fixed.

For the 4.0 version there is a bug where if you go into the INPUT SETTINGS from the unit while connected via USB to the computer with the BOSS Tone Studio, then the app opens the TUNER instead of the INPUT SETTINGS. The unit will still open the INPUT SETTINGS but the app will remain on the TUNER until you close it from the app itself.

Apparently the files to be downloaded aren't working, lots of guys on FB forums are getting blank screens and their units won't boot up , the files downloaded are named differently to what is named in the instructions....

SD-1 finally. I run a waza SD-1 in loop one on my core. Is this updated coming for the core as well? I would love to free up that loop. Cool demo I like the riffs man 🤘
