the wild rides on the very edge of track is mistake done by devs. They marked the constrictions as "car has to be touching track at any point" where it should be " car has to be within track limits at all times "
To make unbeatable AI, that will 100% of the time drive at the limit of the car and track, is not difficult. To make an AI that will drive like a Real person is a true challenge.
Won't the rewarding system sooner or later make A.I have more unhuman level of concentration? I mean humans tend to have accidents sometimes right? But this A.I with each iteration of it running will eventually reach a point where it can't have accidents like a normal human, right? How is that supposed to be 'Real life' like??
Neural AI is already in use in MotoGP games (another neural AI, of course): it is quite reckless in races and it exploits the game physics (which makes it behave unrealistically sometimes)
The problem with sophy is that it is cheating even though they claim the ai doesn't cheat. If at least 2 wheels are not on the track you will not get a clean race if all 4 wheels touch grass to try and give yourself a advantage on a turn.
Wrong. I'm.doing all races in GTSport out of boredom. Went with 3 wheels off track and still had clean race 150% credit bonus. Guess they changed this because it used to be how u mention.
I was wondering can you switch modes in the car like sport mode and race modes also do the dashes have heads up like lap times and stuff if you where to play with out the game hud on like is it really that good and actually a true simulator
Best current actually available and working AI in a retail release racing sim in my opinion is ACC, this new Sophy still has a way to catch up to the realism driving style of the current ACC version and it was released in 2018. Really looking forward to what improvements may be in store when the new Assetto Corsa releases in a couple of years. Just because they show Sophy as being fast in limited content does not mean it is good or a revolution by a long shot. Sony also claims on it packaging GTS is the real driving simulator too and we know how well that stacks up too many of the competition's offerings!
@@MiguelRodriguez-lp9et Why is calling out what I observed watching all the Sophy videos translate to you into my being anti Sony or withholding praise? If I had of felt praise for the Sophy video was deserved then I would have said as such. My comment was more in line with the wording of the "leading a revolution" claim on the title of this video. My opinion and what I observed in Sony's reveal videos the new AI is still way behind that of ACC which is now approaching 4 years since it was released. Also it is a general consensus among sim racers that Gran Turismo is more of a simcade rather than a true sim title. Sounds like from your post that you must be a Sony fanboy and do not like someone that calls out the shortcomings of Sony's announcement by what they showed or Gran Turismo for what it actually is more of a car collecting game than an actual realistic racing "simulator". Rewatch all the Sophy videos and tell me the lines the AI uses and dropping off the curbings and running off into the grass which cost no pace to the AI along with catching a major slide mid corner cost the AI car no pace where the driver cars directly behind would have retained more pace to do an overtake is good or realistic. Even Fraga said the AI seemed to not need to slow down on corner entry like a human driver to position the car for the best corner exit but even so the AI was able to have an exit out of the corner the was at least equal to or exceeded the human drivers corner exit setting his car position up for the best possible exit speed. This is said by what is probably the best human driver in GTS on the planet that also has been driving F3 cars in real life! My opinion that I wrote in my comment still reflects what I see, the Sophy being all that and then some at this point is overblown marketing hype and not anywhere near as good as Sony want to claim it is.
@@ConnorH2111 Apparently you have never experienced ACC on a PC with proper specs making that comment considering that physics wise ACC is considered to be one of the best most realistic racing sims ever released. You do realize that ACC was not originally designed to properly run on a console with as low specs as the PS4 and the studio that designed and released the PC version of the game KUNOS was not a part of the game being ported to the PS4 that was done by a different game studio 505 games. And yes I do have experience with playing both GTS on PS4 and ACC on PC and as far as the physics and actual gameplay are concerned GT is no where near as good or realistic. The difference is to a point that I have actually disconnected my PS4 and packed it away in a box as after playing ACC trying to play GTS is like playing an arcade game!
I know that you like the game and all, but I own the game and the AI feels the same that it always has - you just drive around them, and they still don't put up much of a fight. "GT7 Is Leading A Revolution In Sim Racing" How can you even refer to this car collecting game as a sim. Don't begin to think that this game has any better physics that the next car collecting game on the other console - Forza. Sony gamers believe anything that Sony, or Polyphony tells them to believe. The Real Racing Simulator?
@@ConnorH2111 they are using machine learning to do it which is overkill, it's a marketing gimmick to posture against Forza Drivatar concept (which anyways is very bad). What I am saying is AI programming is just overkill for CPU Drivers (word for AI Drivers from a decade back) The Machine Learning process is not cheap and adds to the cost and for this case is totally useless IMO. You wont see a lot of different when game comes out.
@@youtubeisracistx you are saying as if you did, even before it launched. I am a software programmer and I know you don't need to implement machine learning algorithms for this task. It is just extra budget that got allocated for this experiment and is as expected is not ready for launch and will not be launched without programmed logic and not just trained with machine learning or deep learning algorithms. and your comment is very silly.
