You forgot to pin and congratulations for 1M dude I remember watching your bike jumping videos, I don’t remember in what year but the videos were new when I watched them, CAN I CALL MYSELF “A OLD FAN”?
Back when R* actually cared about innovation, but back then, people did not understand it and started to bash it altogether. Granted, GTA 4's initial release was a mess, mainly because it was intended to be a PS3-exclusive but then Microsoft came in with bags of money, demanding for an XBOX 360 and PC release of the project; it took them 8 years (for PC) to be optimized by 90%. However, people were not ready for simulation-esque driving physics, so they complained about 'bOaT-lIkE pHySiCs' (try driving a normal daily driver on high speeds and forget that braking exists while turning a sharp left). Oh, and the 'map size' was another factor to it, but I think if focused on quality over quantity, a small map size with a treasure trove of details is really good.
Something interesting about GTA IV’s ragdoll is it has a system where it purposely reduces damage to ensure the final hit kills you in a crash. It’s a small detail not many notice
@@TheGuyWithStuff When you hit stuff like the floor after a car crash. Instead of killing you the first chance it gets, the game will lessen the damage just enough to keep you alive until you hit the last thing you can in ragdoll which then kills you
@@YOEL_44nah bud in rdr2 people actually have working schedules and more attention to details and the random encounters feels so realistic compared to every gta game
I laughed when immature people on Twitter and RU-vid, raised a question before the release of Starfield that were like "I am being worried how GTA 6 will be able compete with Starfield? GTA 6 needs to have many good things to become equal to Starfield"
The same happened at CyberPunk's time. I always stood still and I will always stand with Rockstar Games even if thousands of people could disagree with me. Because I know I don't need to do anything, Rockstar Games and time will prove me themselves.
If people ever said “How will gta 6 be able to compete with starfield” id laugh in their face lol, and the cyberpunk developers saying the game will surpass red dead redemption 2 a few years ago was so funny, game was a steaming pile of crap and is still nowhere near what they promised
@RuthSurvivor71i haven't spoiled the game for myself but from just looking at the gameplay now Vs release it looks really fun not to mention the graphics. ill get it when i upgrade my pc
i mean.. its just stock photo bought for 50$, Im not saying thats bad but its literally just an upscaled stock photo that you can find on Google, many games do it
It's almost unfair to compare anything to Rockstar games. They're so far ahead of their time & have been for over 20 years. The level of detail & care they put into a vast majority of their games is unparalleled. I can't imagine what this means for GTA6, but it will be insane...you know...when it finally comes.
@@Raymations Agreed. And honestly I'm fine with it. If it takes 10+ years (not that they've been working on it for that entire time continuously) to create what might be the greatest thing ever, it's probably worth the wait.
The time itself is kind of irrelevant. Nobody uses Euphoria physics, only rockstar does. GTA 4 has euphoria physics and that won't change the fact that 2023 games don't use that at all.
@@kenz2756 that's true, the character physics engine of Rockstar is so ahead of its time that no other game companies can keep up with it. Most games nowadays are still stuck with ragdolls, or scripted animations. Comparisons like this is too unfair, it's like comparing cutting-edge military tech with a civilian vehicle. Still, points to Starfield for its item physics, really well optimized when players can spawn thousands of interactable items with real-time collisions and shading rendering.
@@pakaru1638 Again, it isn't about time. Euphoria has been around for long and only naturalmotion makes it. Companies just don't want to use it because of the cost and the complications in joint development with another company entirely to integrate euphoria.
8:08 when devs aren't given enough time to finish you have this result; they wanted the force from the grenade to send the NPC's flying, which is why they turned into ragdols so the force would yeet them, but no force was implement from the grenade so it looks half done.
What I like most about your channel is that it focuses on the quality of video games that we buy; 'Quality' is a term never used by the industry, and it's great that you're raising the issue amongst gamers in your videos. They're funny as fuck as well.
He's just following a trope. Could've done this comparison to dozens of other games and GTA 4 would still roast them. Except that isn't the trope, roasting starfield gets the views right now. Even though bad physics never ever mattered in a Bethesda game. Starfield could've been a good game with the same flaws, it's just that they failed at what they usually do good. No world building, bad storyline, and thin lore.
Been watching your videos since 300k and i have always had the same routine of watching your video as the last thing to do before sleep because for some reason your videos just help me relax 😅 Much love and thank you for all your work with these videos ❤
Cyberpunk is an action adventure rpg. Not a sandbox like GTA . I bet most of you people just wanted GTA set in future and weren't interested in world , characters or it's lore. The game is so detailed and so many gameplay styles . And on top of that brilliant story telling. Wake me up when rockstar makes their main missions on the level of Cyberpunks side missions lol 😂
@@ElementX. I’m pretty sure you know gta 5 side missions( strangers and freaks) are one of the best in games. There’s no repetitive formula and they’re all unique. Cyberpunk wouldn’t hold a candle to gta 5 please.
Man i usef to spend ages watching all the gta 4 physic trailers showing off the euphoria engine, good times when getting excited for a game actually paid off
You forgot about the loading screens for everything. Rockstar games always try hard to be immersive and allow you to enter interiors and travel through the world without loading screens most of the time. Starfield is like if GTA IV gave you a loading screen/15-20s cinematic to hide the loading for every time you enter your safe house, travel to another island, enter a restaurant, enter an underground gun shop, etc etc etc.
@One_Piece01. You’re definitely the type of person to buy FIFA or 2k every year💀. Also this is a dumbass comparison you GTA fans just like to nitpick every game for not having “rEaliStic EuPhOriA pHySics”.
@@MinecraftvsBurnoutI mean, honestly? I don't like star field, but it actually makes sense that, in the future, people would have bullet proof windows and stuff. We are already going that route irl.
@@G.A.C_Preserve Delusional?? :D Dude are you for real? Gta 3 is an old and primitive game. And for this reason, the graphics and the game itself is now a very very outdated game. I don't know what you are trying to claim. I would appreciate it if you could be more descriptive. ;))
You know what's real funny? Splashes of water from explosions existed on previous Bethesda game (In Fallout 4). There was also be there: underwater swimming and reaction dead bodies to explosions. And of course their dismemberment.
Can’t believe i wanted to pay full price for starfield. ty for saving me bro. im really into smaller details i feel the lack of details breaks immersion regardless if the game is good or not.
You should make a video on smoke logic I noticed in GTA VC when a car is smoking it will keep smoking if we are in the car but stops when we get out lol
Wait, bro reached 1 million!? Damn!! Congratulations Engxma, even if i have played all of those games, i always love watching these videos of yours. Nothing is better than putting on your headphones and watching these videos. Thanks man!
I will never understand why AAA higher ups think that having a big open world is better than having a well designed game. GTA IV’s map was small, even when compared to it’s predecessor but the game is infinitely more enjoyable to play than Starfield. I wish AAA devs would be allowed to focus on crafting good overall gaming experiences instead of making stuff that only sounds grand and spectacular in the marketing.
People will complain one way or the other. If the map is small then they'll say that the game sucks cuz the open world is very small. Halo infinite failed for practically no reason, the game is amazing and good on paper. But it still failed.
@@simonlegosson7082 some people complain that GTA 4 don't have the countryside like GTA San Andreas do back in 2008 But now they appreciate that you can enter almost every building in GTA 4 instead of it being useless af like in GTA San Andreas or GTA 5
What’s enjoyable to you may not be to someone else. I’ve had more fun in Starfield then I have in GTA 4 so far tbh. Although I don’t really know why channels like these exist as comparing an Open World Space RPG to an Open World Action/Adventure crime game is kinda stupid no matter how you spin it. Both have completely different goals and objectives that they are trying to achieve. Are we gonna compare Super Mario Wonder to GTA4 next? Lol
@@G.A.C_Preserve I guess some people will always be disappointed. I still think GTA SA and IV have some of the best open worlds in gaming to this day. GTA V’s world feels a little too stretched out for a GTA world but that one is also really good.
Of course he isn't going to point that out. This video is supposed to be your standard "this new game is bad cuz it has bad physics" type of video. It isn't really a fair comparison video.
@@believer431 why would I care about starfield? Just because I'm saying something different, doesn't mean that I'm coping for starfield. Why would I care about the game? It's not like I made it or something. Your comment doesn't make sense to me.
@@WykojotowanyKojot by "not a fair comparison" I meant that the RU-vidr didn't indicate the fact that Niko was walking on air during the slope part of the video. If this was a "fair comparison" then he shouldn't have ignored that fact. Please try to understand the intent behind my comment, rather than laughing at me Damian.
When I first bought GTA 4 i was driving reallt fast in a big SUV and it flipped over when I made a hard turn, my jaw dropped at how incredibly realistic and accurate the physics were, GTA 5 can't even compare.
Man ive been watching you for so long... I remember when i first discovered you like over 3 years ago, i really liked your tier list on chatacters when drunk XD it was hilarious, now you hit a million subs... Im glad to call myself an OG fan :')

Cyberpunk had a good story, map and graphics at least. The main problem was the bugs and glitches. Most of the bugs and glitches are fixed now, so cyberpunk is good now. Did you try it out?
1:43 keep in mind here, this game is supposed to be played in the first person Having a full fledged animation or you flipping while falling wouldn’t work
