It really depends on what type of player you are, personally I’m never blowing up any cars or anything and while it would definitely add up over time 90% of the times one of my vehicles is destroyed it’s by another player so I don’t pay anyway
I don't mind paying that, it's just not worth stealing it from the impound at this point, especially if your not trying to leave the spot you are at and rather have your car delivered to you.
@@williamhaynes7089 I feel you but I stopped being cheap years ago! 😆 Like we making that money anyway $1k isn't anything to me and I have almost every car in game as well but sometimes I feel like staying with my favorites so if it gets impounded, I'ma need that back. Lol
Your right, it's straight up horrible lol. You don't even have to pay the insurance fee when someone else blows up your car and that's what happens 99% of the time.
It's still useful no matter what, a game that allows you claim back vehicles 50% off of the ones you destroyed by accident(or when the game sometimes charges you for vehicle that the AI or another player destroyed). An upgrade that saves more money no matter the situation is still useful. But hey, if you think it's horrible that's fine.
I don't usually destroyed or accidentally drive in water my personal vehicle and I always use either Sparrow, Raiju or Franklin agency vehicle. Maybe depends on players how careful they are when playing.
When I first started playing this game earlier this year, I had no idea how anything worked. I was scared I could get my car robbed by another player, I was scared what would happen if it was destroyed, as well as many many other unrelated misconceptions. But now that I know most of the mechanics, I can't help to think......Mors Mutual is the best insurance you can get!!! hahaha. Thanks for the vid, Pro!
After 50 MM calls at $20,000, you’ll have made your money back. And then from there, you’ll have the benefit of the discount. How long would that take? Entirely depends on what type of player you are.
Kinda lame this feature came out so late. If it was 2018, then this feature would've saved me a MILLIONS. But now, when i don't play that often, and when i play i usually use helicopters, Raiju or bikes (that one counts)? Not so much. Considering there is just a year before GTA VI, i doubt i'll ever make money back from it.
the amount of times i've drowned by oppressor mk2 trying to park it in the kosatka or accidentally pressed F on top of water has been ridiculous.. i need this lol
Agreed. Esp if you want to grind or get some money from your businesses without the risk of it all being destroyed, especially if it took you HOURS to get it all together
One thing im curious about now, is if another player owns the discount rate, and destroys your vehicle, do they pay half the price on your vehicle they just blew up? Or will it be affected by the owner of said destroyed vehicle, and the player who destroyed it now has to pay the new discount repair cost?
I think even the most peaceful players sometimes manage to destroy their own cars, even if just by dropping them into a river or the ocean by a miscalculated jump. Think it will pay for itself on the long run
@TheProfessional How much of a discount does the "Trade Prices" give us for Repairs at LSC? It says we get discounts on both Insurance and Repairs and you only covered Insurance in this video.
I got the upgrade because I had the extra cash, but it'd probably take 10 more years of playing for it to pay for itself and that'd only be if I exclusively drove Bennys cars lol. The question I have is, does it only apply to your vehicles or other people's vehicles you destroy as well.
The professional, Rockstar just announced this: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is now available for Netflix Members to enjoy as part of their subscription, and also now available on iOS and Android devices.
If it eliminated claim fees all together it would be worth it, but like this unless you drive your vehicle until it explodes instead of recalling it every now and then I don't see much of a point for paying 1 mil for a 50% discount
I guess if you don't want to pay all that much money to claim all vehicles and you don't want your money to be spent so much because you don't have enough this is probably for new players.
You mean from the missions? Yes. There's, at least, one more mission in the drip feed which means, at least, one other car we can steal. It'll show up next week when the missions rotate.
Basically if you replace a vehicle valued the same as the T20, 23 times without this, you’re spending $460,000. Anyone with high end vehicles who has played for any period of time has spent well north of that.
You'll have to spend 450000 on insurance and repairs to break even. That would require you to destroy your own vehicle 90 times, if the vehicle insurance cost 10000 before... insurance is usually free for me or it's an organization's vehicle, so it would take too long for me to get any profit out of it. Even once I do, it will probably save even less than my good behavior bonus...
Really not worth it… unless you plan on blowing up/destroying your own vehicle 45 times (45*10,000=450,000). And for a 50% discount for repairing and not worth it, it’s only $1000 tops. If you do want it better off waiting until that business is on discount.
A discount is a discount. $450k isn't even really that much for me so I'll be getting the upgrade when I get around to buying the chop shop. Given how bad my driving is and how much my cars end up in the water as a result it is worth it for me.
Depends on your play style if your the quiet grind, save, invest type of player it's not going to be a lot of benefit. If your a kamakazi pilot or enjoy landing your tricked out whip in some fuckers back yard pool then its worth it. 😂
Literally it will just save you money in the long run... If you are a regular to the game ofc you are buying this business so there is no question of whether it's worth it or not unless you are literally going to buy this business specifically so you don't need to pay as much when you destroyed a few cars lmao
I dont understand why the bother to wonder if its worth it, its something youll always need, so eventually yes it will catch up to your investement and then youll earn your moneys worth
Not for new players, no. Unless you get a hacked account, which are usually scams or sold for extortionate rates even though accounts can be duplicated for free with a glitch currently. I don't use mods cuz I played from the start but on different accounts
For it to be worth it, you need to be reckless with your cars. If you're a player that goes into public lobbies, go right ahead. If you're on private lobbies, I can hardly justify the purchase - the AI aims so well that you'll die before your vehicle ever gets a chance to be destroyed.
Hey, it might not be the best discount but 50% is still 50%. Sure saving $50 here might not be the best, but when it hits like $750k because the game thinks YOU destroyed your car....$325k is alot.
I'm probably in the minority but I don't own any fancy or expensive vehicles like super cars. I only own vehicles that help me with grinding. So the most expensive vehicle to reclaim would probably be my STX. So I don't think this "upgrade" is worth it for anyone unless you're into PvP or a griefer. And by the time I've made my money back on accidentally destroying my own vehicles GTA 7 will be out.
In my opinion, it's not worth it at all. It just takes way too long to break even. You save $10.000 for the T20 every time you claim insurance, which, if my math is mathing, means: $450.000 / $10.000 = *45* So you'd need to burn through *45 T20s* before it starts to make sense financially. It's even worse for less expensive cars, taking *59 claims* for the Pfister 811 and *60 claims* for the GTB Custom before you start saving money. Maybe it's just me not being that active on GTA Online, but I can't even remember the last time I got blown up. I don't see myself ever making this back...
I would have to accidentally blow myself up 45 times with the most expensive vehicle to make this back before gta 6 comes out and I stop playing GTA5. That Won’t happen. If this reduced all claims even when you blow up another players car it would be worth it, but then again it would only breed more griefers if that was the case. Which we don’t need.
There’s a high ratio of players cars getting blown up by other players but blowing up your own car or driving in water should not happen that often once you’re past the low levels and know how to drive/play the game.
@theprofessional155 You should be condemning this DLC for one reason... They limit how many jobs you can do per week to x3 Imagine people who pay for this using Shark Cards! Being limited on content you paid for! With tactics like this & GTA+... GTA6 Online will be terrible!
With all due respect to me but don't I think this dlc is worth it. I have been looking at the at it RU-vid. Sure you get a good meeting with Yusuf but I the I find the dlc really boring I haven't even bought the dlc I rather play the contract with Dr dray it had a way cooler story and cool music and I prefer the biker dlc so I can roleplay as the sons of anarchy MC show.
am i missing something or am i the only one who thinks paying 450k for half off insurance is a complete waste of half a mil 💀 (no i don't care that u have a billion bajillion dollars and half a mil isn't much) i rarely get my vehicles destroyed and even then it's not that expensive to repair it the 1/500 chance i end up destroying my cars
@@eltacobandito I have an average of 1.5 crashes per kilometer. That should tell you everything about my driving skills. I did sink some of my cars in rivers/pools more often than I'd want to admit... :P Plus, I have a hazing ritual where I "lend" one of my souped up supercars to new players on my friends list (and actually place a car bomb in it) so just based on that, I'd need to haze 50 players to save money that way.
