put the gts motor on my gt . didn't show any of the install because it's really only plug and play ! Did a ride at the end to do a small test!!

At that price I'd buy a cannon core and put the extra towards a new controller/battery and never wonder when an update will brick my board. Again.......

Dude I have 5inch hub with the n52 magnets on that GTS and the 113v and 5 inch hub is like nothing I’ve ever experienced

For the cost you could get one of those custom billet wheels from 1wheelparts, or 2 cannoncore motors from Floatwheel...

I do not want the s series motor because it drops high end speed by 10 miles an hour on the top end speed on the GT

I’d like to say this really didn’t she any light in what we didn’t already know… we already knew the hub itself gives more torque… you say whoa for sure gives more torque… that was really it. Why not take your gt hub and swap it onto the gts motor and then test so you aren’t getting the affects do stronger magnets to see if the actual motor is worth investing into… otherwise there are a few gts hub me for around 300-400 which is 2x+ cheaper… what we really want to know is the stator and if it’s an actual upgrade… also comparing to tech rails hub now is silly when they are working to release their revolver stator and billet hub combo for 1000-1100… which will be a certain upgrade… so far have seen nothing to make someone spend 850$ to “upgrade” their motor lol. Gt 2300 gts motor 870= 3170$ just buy a GTS yall… 😅

I'm doing this to inform customers before they buy it and may not know all the info others do ! Go check out the other test video i did on the hills. More to come with battery speed and range!! . These videos are small steps to give you info on product . Other companies have been charging alot for hubs so that 3200 plus taxes if you have them plus hub,rails and what ever you got , so that would cost me for that gts onewheel after tax it be 3600! With new hub that's 4400 plus rails ,say closer to 5 grand 😆 🤣 . Give it time and we will see how it does ! You might be right , but I have to find out! If all fails, than I have another hub and motor ready to install and ride . I'm not dogging other companies I'm just letting everyone know what your getting with this company. More info to come ! Thank you for taken the bullet for us. That was my question will the new motor give you more torque without the power module upgrades? And how many miles more you will get before Captain Morgan pushback

I may have to do this since I messed up the wires on my GT while changing the tire. I think I can fix the wires with a little electrical experience I have. But worst case scenario I upgrade to this.

I'm curious what's so special about the GT-S motor when you can switch to a VESC based controller and get similar torque and power on the stock GT motor. No hate, genuinely wondering.

Thermals. Stock GT motor on VESC controller will overheat faster than GTS. GTS has more mass in it's axle like the XR did. It's stronger and part of the reason it runs cooler. Not sure what else contributes to cooler temps on GTS stator.

That was going to be my next board, then I found out what kind of company FM is. Spent over 5K in the last month with them and there 3rd party makers only to be told that they don't support or care about there 3rd party makers and will void the warranty if anyone installs even a gripple on there foot pad. They don't even want you using 3rd party rail guards which have not affect on the board at all. So FM will never get another penny from me directly until there ways change. Robert thanks for the vid and letting us know it works, hope FM takes a turn for the better this year but not holding my breath. Looking forward to more 3rd party mods out there this year so I can move away from FM but still enjoy the float.

Where are you getting this Info? Rail guards and gripples void warranty? Not even remotely true. Don't buy into the trolls. Most of them trying to make a profit in the vesc world. I'm all for vesc but the marketing strategies are shitty.

@thewheelneil1379 Direct from FM, I have been fighting with them about since I bought the machine about being able to use rails and 3rd party stuff. They flat out told me that anything not sold on their site voids their warranty. I asked about gripples as I cannot ride without them. I love the 3rd party stuff and hope people can keep making better and better stuff for it. Just hate FM for taking away abilities from the board that existed when I was researching my purchase but did not exist after I got it and was going back to watch the vid again on how to relevel (took me a while to decide on what I wanted). To be fair the board I got GTS did not ever have the firmware on it that did allow it to start with but I am more than happy to get a GT and use the old firmware but they will not allow me to do that either.

@@thewheelneil1379 Maybe they were just trying to scare me into not modifying my board as I have heard stories of people having 3rd party stuff on there board when they send it back and it being removed but the warranty still being covered. But either way it is my board and I should be able to use 3rd party stuff on it if I want, this board will never see CA again. I have already given up on them ever fixing anything from the lengthy conversations I have had so far with them. Shout out to @TheFloatLife, @Craft&Ride and of course @FloatWord for doing what they can to make the ride better.

Im stoked to hear you could really feel the difference with the 52N magnets. I the stator different than a GT? If it is just the hub with N52s I'm going with the 5" hub from Tech Rails.

The stator is the same size but is wound differently for higher torque

I feel the same way !! But if there is a flaw in it surely they would honor it !! 😆! Maybe if there was a flaw in the stator! I want to add nimrods but want to see how the motor works first . This is why I spent the money to help maybe inform people about it .

Going to have to let us know about range compared to old. I still really want this and looking froward to your future vids about this build. Might need to start looking for used GT with old firmware so I can use my rails and my current GTS motor. That way FM still don't get any new money directly. 😄

So with the limited range of the gts, what kind of range are we to expect with replacing the gt motor with this? Cause i can get 28-30miles on my gt and would keep it stock instead of goin with the gts. I like my range more than extra power. My gt is fast enough but I'd be interested in the climbing ability of the gts motor if the range is atleast close to stock gt
