i think it's because of the lack of editing, what we see is just him presenting and with the graphics card display, if he puts effort such as creating a panning on the graphics, create statistic using excel etc etc, maybe he'll get more subs, but for now, it's info and explanation, which is pretty good

I feel obligated to jump on the support train :P you're an AMAZING presentator, incredibly good at explaining and showcasing tech in a simple manner for people who are not very tech savvy, plus you're very down to earth which is always a nice bonus! My only gripes/criticism would be the lack of editing/camera work but it's not a deal breaker! after all, what more could I want for the money?

the rx 480 is the better buy. 4.4TFLOPS/192bit (GTX 1060 6GB version) 5.8TFLOPS/256bit (RX 480). And it's 40$ cheaper We saw it in the past when the R9 290x came out it really struggled beating the gtx780, much in the same way the 1060 is about 8% faster across the board currently then the 480. But today a R9 290x is as fast or faster as a 780ti or gtx 970. Amd just has more horsepower with this card. And the poorer driver optimization will eventually even out. We all saw what happens in more even playing grounds will less clogged up restictive APIs like DX12 and vulkan. Not saying the 1060 is bad, it's solid. But if you plan on keeping either card for 2-3 years the rx 480 is the much safer bet. And the rx 470 4gb over the 1060 3gb on a really tight budget

if amd can stop having unstable drivers, using the entire power in your city and getting hot to a point where the components melt... I'd consider buying it :) also if it gives us all the extra features that nvidia does. I'm not a fanboy, my first ever cpu and gpu were amd, then switching to Intel and nvidia opened my eyes. staying like this for the last 3 years and I'd overpay any amount of money just to get nvidia and Intel over amd cpus and gpus, I'm sorry but this is just personal preference so don't rage at me xD

***** I just went back from 2 gens of nvidia(still use intel cause Zen in not out yet and AMD FX is shit). Shadowplay is an arugment, but i never used it, no other features that nvidia provides are even in the tiniest bit better in fact some of their drivers gimp older gen cards to make their current gen look better. power draw: Not really an issue the 480 uses 30 more watts than a 1060 and has much more power to be unlocked(dx12, vulkan will be standard soon and not dx11), and withtin a year or two will sit inbetween a 1060 and 1070 in performance while costing significantly less than the 1060. Just stating a few facts, don't rage (fanboys like you that don't go by evidence but feelies are prone to that, I've been flamed many times)

I had very bad experience with AMD, what you are saying is a big maybe, we dont know if amd will be better in a year or not, you cant use the past as an argument here, you dont know what drivers we will get for amd nor nvidia. Stop being such an AMD fanboy and saying "these are just obvious facts". 40$ difference isnt enough to even consider buying an RX480 for me (i have a 1070), with all the trouble that AMD has brought to me before, id stay with other companies for now. ***** So vulkan and dx12 becoming standard is a big maybe? Nope. How many games do you see today with dx9? Zero. Same with dx11 in 1-2 years. And the rx 480 being better than the 1060 in a while, is therefor not a "maybe". The 1070 is a good card, but you can't compare it to a 480(430$ vs 240$) of course the product that costs nearly double is better..... cmon not even Ngreedia is THAT bad. But the rx 480 is better than a 1060(280$), that was my orinial comment and it stands true. Amd cards that had more horsepower(tflops, stream processors) have always caught up or overtaken Nvidia in the past few generations, btw so there is another reason why to think it will happen again. See I called you a fanboy cause you cited 0 evidence besides "personal preference" "bad experience" that's how a blind fanboy or 7 year old argues a point....

I really like your channel. Keep up the good work! I would like to see a comparison between the GTX 1060 and RX 480. Is the price difference worth the performance difference? Which is more "future proof"? I've read that DirectX 12 runs better on AMD. Will updated drivers fix it on Nvidia in the future or is it a hardware limitation? I can understand if you want to wait on such a video but I would definitely like to hear your thoughts on the matter.

平和の魂 Then you don't have very high settings. You already said you had things said to high, which I would bet are Grass details and the textures. And I'm pretty sure you don't have Ambient Occlusion/Reflection AA maxed out either. I'm 100% convinced you don't have any of the advanced settings on very high either, if any are even turned on, and you've got little to no AA, which is stupid because the game definitely needs it at 1080p. So overall, you have some settings on very high, the less demanding ones, and every demanding setting lower or simply turned off. That's what I call medium-high at best.

Obviously then, MSAA takes away so many frames. Without MSAA the game looks like ass, i use 4x and the game looks decent. I do lose 30+ FPS though.

I am quite conflicted. I have an MSI GTX 780 Lightning. Its a very bad overclocker and its paired to an i5-4590 CPU that, as far as I can tell, at least dont bottleneck the card. I would love to upgrade to a 10 series card, but the 1070 and 1080 is slightly out of my budget. The 1060, however, seems to be within my range. And here's the deal. The 1060 gives me 6GB of VRAM vs the 3GB of the 780, it runs at a much higher clock speed (almost double...not quite), but the 780 is a 384 bit card vs the 1060 which is only 256 bit. I get very good results at very high settings in most new games with the 780, but it is starting to show its age. Is it worth upgrading to the 1060 or not? What kind of performance increases can I expect? I dont see detailed benchmark comparisons between the 780 and the 1060 and benchmarking sites are useless as it puts tickmarks next to the 780 simply for being a 384 bit card. I need help here! Should I rather wait for 11 series cards?

Nice videos you make! I'm currently looking for the best deal in the 80 - 130 euro/dollar range. Would you recommand a GTX 770, 780, 780 TI or 960? The goal is to be able to drive 3 monitors, but only 1 for gaming (mainly the total war series). I found e.g. a GTX 960 with 4GB for 100 euro. Or would a GTX 970 for 130 euro be a better deal? From the research I did, I found the 770 and 780 cards may have more power for complex scenes and/or multiple displays, but the 960 consumes much less power and also performs rather good. I also found out the drivers for the 770 and 780 cards are no longer updated by nvidia. This is a pitty for such expensive (on launch) cards.

Okay, so I bought an MSI 1060 6GB card today. Honestly I'm not seeing these types of frame rate jumps in what I play (I removed a MSI GTX 960). Playing "Raft" (early access game on Steam) produces 27FPS when I load the game, the 960 used to start off at 54fps but slowly drop due to whatever reason in their programming and the 1060 also drops to 7 to 11 fps as did the 960 before it. 960 produces 60 FPS in no mans sky, 1060 also produces 60 fps in No mans sky, however it severely lags for some reason while "loading shaders" that the 960 didn't have issues with. However, what I'm curious about is if there is any difference between the short cards you are showing and the full size card that I have bought today. While the card that I bought today barely fits, it did fit on an MSI gaming mainboard, but would have been a whole lot more comfortable using the shorty you are showing. Is there any difference to the performance itself?

Is this good and what could I do to upgrade relatively cheaply? CPU - AMD FX 8370 Eight-core processor 4.00ghz GPU - AMD Radeon (TM) R9 360 Series 8GB RAM Virtual memory - 10.GB I can't really go over maybe $200 for this upgrade. I'm better with software than hardware so I don't really know. My system is good, but I just want better performance in general.

Do you think it's still justifiable to buy an RX card over this? In Canada, GTX 1060s are about $400 and up. While the RX 480 is about 299$. I have the 2gb 960 EVGA SCC, the one with 2 fans, but it's time to upgrade.

so i have two evga 960s 2gb ftws in SLI, how do you think that can stack up against a single 1060? should i expect better performance because of the increased amount of vram?

Very professional review. Love the facts on the side. I think it's time for me to get the 1060. There seems to be no reason in keeping the 960 if the jump in performance is that high.
