Watching the lady guards change with the chitsman position and the gatesman was like watching a ballet. It was so beautiful, and such a privilege for me to behold. Also, John, that man who was just eyeing the girl on the left on the big horse gave me the creeps. He seemed to be alone, and when you went into the yard and stopped filming the chitsman and you turned around towards the gatesman, the man made a bee-line towards the chitsman/lady. I was praying you'd turn back and shoo him away. Unfortunately, you didn’t. Why would a man like that be at Horse Guards all alone? Creepy!

These uniforms and guards are superb!

They did do that perfectly. I was just noticing as the horse moved to the box, how dainty the horse seems, wrong word, just not big and cloppy. . THE women do look great in those uniforms, are performing greatly.

The police on duty while the Gunners have been on shift should be congratulated for their behavior. They have been brilliant in keeping an eye on them and making sure the tourists are being respectful, especially the Lady policewoman she is great.

Good afternoon John. Read an article that there was an anti-tourist protest in Spain. They sprayed tourists with water in outdoor restaurants and taped off entrances to hotels and cafes. They are fed up with the overcrowding. I can see it happening in other cities. More new hotels being built to accommodate. 😮

Yes John, tourism is a double-edged sword. Especially with rentals via AirBnB and newly built hotels. Yesterday I read an article in which this mass tourism was described in Venice, Dubrovnik, Amsterdam and Barcelona and other places. In London you can only hope that the Thames never has too much water because otherwise the giant cruise ships will dock there too. There's already a video going around on IG in which Barcelona tourists are insulted and shot at with water guns in outdoor cafes because normal Spaniards can no longer get affordable apartments. When you said £400-500 I first thought "That in London? Very cheap." Then came the rest of the sentence: per week. 😨😨😨

Just loved at 33.33 when the 4 female (or “lady gatesmen” as John states beautifully) all in tunnel changeover together. Made me surprisingly proud 😏considering this is all now possible for both sexes, whereas when I wanted to learn to fly in late sixties females were definitely not allowed to join the military flyers. Great filming so well narrated. 👏

Re housing, perhaps office space will be empty or underutilized, so it will be turned to housing, apartments. I,m seeing urbancrawl, more crowded, traffic, further out from the city centers.

Another thing that is happening too, even in Canada, is shortage of long term apartments as owners are turning their properties into Air bnb's. Pure greed as more money. So locals cant find permanent housing.

The lovely black that could be a HCav horse is possibly an officers horse , he looks too big for the gun carriages . If you do to go Paris enjoy yourself , if not I'm sure you'll be at Horse Guards for the return of HCav ! After a very strange 2 weeks for Kings Troop , I suspect they'll be pleased to return to the peace of their barracks at Woolwich !

The housing situation is the same here in Scotland john.

It's what us becoming the world wide "Chinese problem", it has become quite overwhelming here in New Zealand, your average Kiwi is finding it extremely difficult to find a job and housing, herd in Auckland, especially!
