This thing cracks me up every time I see it. I absolutely love it for its sheer insanity. I picked up a version of it over here in the UK a few years back (each one separately carded with the most ridiculous weapons ever); I can't remember all the names they were given (and the combiner didn't have a name) but I do remember the bull being called "Fierce Cow Monster". Genius.
I had this exact set when I was 10. Got it in Barstow at the old Toy Store they used to have at the Outlets. This was a weird nostalgic flash for me. Sadly, over the years only Puma has survived.
Both the Puma and Lion look like they are modified versions of the Guard Wolf and Lion from the Shadow Dagwon combiner set from the Brave series Dagwon.
Hi, Baltmatrix. The reason why the weapons and the shields are red, blue, green and yellow is because the original toys were colored that way. I know it because I had that set as child. Also, you can pull out the Wolf (not Puma) and Lion's arms, so you could use the weapons (at least it is useful for Lion). Please reply if you see this comment :) Thank you.
I remember having these as a kid! Except I never had the Eagle one, or I just don't remember having it. I remember constantly pining for the Eagle to complete the combiner.
Got this figure in different packaging at a shop in Annapolis Mall a year or two ago. I actually quite liked this thing. That store isn't around anymore though :(
I remember having this or a variation of it as a kid! I know it wasn't well put together because I legitimately remember playing with the broken parts more than I do the actual figures. :P
So, when I was little my family took a trip to Branson, Missouri. I actually bought this is a crappy little thrift store and I broke it to bits just by trying to transform it. I kept the Eagle and "Puma" bots in decent shape until I was about 13. I even found them in an old toy box. To be 100% honest, I wish I still had all of them. I actually think the combined mode looks alright. I would love to have it on my shelf with the rest of my bots and mechs
Did anyone notice that on the eagle one it's arms were backwards and had it's thumbs on the outside of it's hands? It's been 5 minutes and I'm still laughing at it.
I had the bull one when I was little, and it was green like how the package displayed it.They sold it one by one and not as a set. Didn't remember the mariachi headdress thing though.Good thing it wasn't included, and good thing I didn't buy the damn set. You're right- it looks stupid.
i always felt it was a knock off of Shadow Dagwon but with its own oreginal parts i havent found any thing that looks like Eagle bot or bull bot. so its a half knockoff and half oreginal figure but this is a boot leg the oreginal knockoff has the green bull and the sheileds have the right colors on them
this reminds me of some of the lillian vernon transformers, which were basically japanese knock offs. I'm with 125rman though, what is your favorite figure of all time?
The combining shields things was the only good thing about it. Sure the giant sword didn't look terrible but it was impractical even for anime standards
I love garbage knock-offs. They had the full set of oversized KO Minicons to make the Cannon from Armada at Tuesday Morning. Better believe I picked that set up for 4 dollars haha
I love it when you review cheap knockoffs of obscure manga robots, you always have a funny way of describing it. Is Guard Beast worse than Fresh Dinobot?
My aunt found this in a thrift store and bought it for my 4 year old cousin. Both me and my aunt live in the United States. My cousin has surprisingly kept very good care of it.
