It should be obvious. You don't grab the steering wheel of someone's car. Anyone with a working brain should know not to touch the reins of someone's horse.
@@kpopfan674 Finally someone who understands that it's the same thing as grabbing a steering wheel while someone is already in the car ! I also like to compare it to grabbing the leash of stranger's dog on the street ! That's exactly weird !!!
And even if someone doesn't realise that, it's stupidity to go up to any animal that doesn't know them, and grab/maul it. Quite aside from the fact you shouldn't do that to anything belonging to someone else without asking
@@dianapeek6936 Actually they could use the sword if there were serious threat to their person or immenent threat to the King. The sword is a working weapon not just ceremonial and the guards have undergone sword/bayonet drills on top of their regular army training.
Once again…There is absolutely no reason for anyone other than His Majesty’s Horseguards Regiment to have any physical contact with the horses. This is not a petting zoo!
The ones I’ve seen reading the sign following with their finger never seem to go past the line horse may kick or bite. I guess they don’t think the rest of the sign is important
@@kianainhi8083 It's very simple - if you are in a foreign country and see a giant sign next to a giant animal, don't go near the animal until you've figured out what the sign says. And quite frankly, I'm fed up of the UK constantly adapting to everyone else.
@@rayelee1301 Absolutely ! SOME (not all) officers go through a rigorous training programme in firearms use. Officers in high-profile situations - such as seen here, or 'protection' duties are armed. Don't believe everything you see on Fox News - and don't assume our officers are 'push-overs'. What really pisses me off about these videos is - there's a blatant sign right next to the horse-guard - that clearly says DO NOT TOUCH... Yet - morons insist on ignoring that, then THEY get miffed when they get shouted at like it's the guard's fault. Visit the UK by all means, but... ABIDE BY OUR RULES ! Simple.
You're not supposed to touch the reins. Hands off. There's a sign next to the horse that says this. Can you tourists please do your research before visiting London? Respect British culture and values. 🇬🇧
Do some of these Tourists not have Horses in their own Country , or are they just Ignorant Numpties , Might help if the SIGN was in Different Languages or even better was a Barrier around the King's Guard and Horse , Hands off the Reigns
Rubbish. Perhaps he just didn't know he shouldn't do that. I can only see a sign in English about not touching the reins. Maybe the guy doesn't read English. Get off your high horse (pun very much intended !).
@@roberthurley6860 ... they don't look like soldiers, ... they don't have a rifle (a sword!), ... their helmet is fake, their clothes not really combat clothes, .... and sitting on a horse ... not the best position to interfere, .... "what world is that exactly" ... Disney?
It is lovely when the tourists genuinely admire the horse, rather than treating it as a photo prop. That lady in the knitted green jacket was enchanted by the horse, and the horse appreciated her right back.
So in other words not touching the reigns? Lol. So what's your problem? Everybody else is taking pictures just because he got yelled at doesn't mean he now can't take a picture. You people are so ridiculous. You act like people don't make mistakes where you come from.
A lot of them especially from Asian countries have not been near a horse. Since they travel in tour groups, you see every single one want to take pictures with the horse.
@@kianainhi8083 On very rare occasions I have actually seen a sensible tour guide, divided his group into 8 or 10, stand them either side of the horse and thirty people or so went away happy and they didn't annoy other sstanding and sometimes queue jumping. Mind this type of guide is as rare as hens teeth.
@@oceanview2965 It's a public footpath in Whitehall under Westminster council not MOD , any form of barrier would be potentially dangerous for horse and Trooper .
If you ask me. I think it was unnecessary that I was thoroughly Em Barris. After he was yelled at to begin with, he learned his lesson. That's why he posed with his hand off the reigns...lol. You people are so ridiculous he's obviously not from great britain if you can't tell... Either way, he made a mistake. And when he was yelled at he proceeded take his hand off the reigns... I'm not sure why some ambiguous person with a gun needed to come up and repeat something that was already very efficiently communicated.
These people disrespecting the Monarchy..🐴 💂♂️need to learn that life doesnt revolve around them... they forfeit the right to be a part of society... SHOW RESPECT 🙏 🫡
It never ceases to amaze me how's these townies/tourists don't understand horses. You wouldn't grabbed the steering wheel of a car whilst being driven as a passenger. Horse reins are exactly the same 🙄
Gotta love the people that glare at the guard after being yelled at. Haha, I'm sure after he got out of camera range, everyone on the sidewalk, not just the cop, was pointing out the sign to him. And the lady enjoying the horse's attention, but also putting her fingers in mouth range. Exploratory nibble gonna happen.
Ar trebui un alt fel de avartisment ! Strigi la ei să nu atingă frâiele ,dar să răcnești ! Multi nu sunt atenți, alții nu stiu limba !! Se iau unii după alții!! Ar trebui sa interzică să-i atingă!!!
You can't read where it says, "Don't touch the reigns" on the sign where it says they might bite or kick? It's you that fails to read and it people like you that grab the reigns
I don't get the fascination with having your photo taken with a horse and some idiot dressed in ancient garb sitting atop a horse. And then to have them scream at you as if you're some kind of peasant not good enough to be in their presence, how humiliating.
That overbearing security guard did not need to come up and reinforce something That was already enforced very well. The guy was thoroughly embarrassed. He didn't need somebody with a gun to come up and make him think that he did something horrible. Because he didn't do anything horrible he screwed up... big deal.
He most definitely did need to approach. Tooled up as they are is most impressive. Who cares if one person is embarrassed if a dozen more potential idiots are standing by to do the same.?
