I'm just imagining YEARS later finding this channel. You've been told this story about how you got left in a supermarket as a baby by your mom. And then you realize. This is about YOU. This idea is just the funniest thing to me.

This was fun. I love these little "story time with other DnD players/animators on RU-vid" videos with Dingo. It's a nice shake up to the massive "screw-with-my-feels" fest that is the Fool's Gold campaign.

A great video and a great story: As someone who spent around 2 years getting around 4-5 hours sleep, I can relate to that part.

I'm American and I love how people are confused about our traditions. I'm so confused about C.

Speaking as someone from the states, despite us always using Fahrenheit, I always had to question it. Even though I was used to what something like 85 degrees felt like, I never understood the logic behind it, and Celsius made SO MUCH more sense. UNTIL! Until someone FINALLY explained the origins of where the scale came from! Turns out, it is a zero to 100 scale. But it isn't about boiling water, its about what you could legally be allowed to work in. If it was over 100 degrees outside, you legally could not work or have anyone work outside because it was too hot! and if it was below zero, it was so cold you legally weren't allowed to work. SO NOW when I hear someone complain that it is 105 degrees outside, it actually makes sense! It is so dang hot that back in the day you weren't allow to work in this heat!

Little tip for understanding fahrenheit temperatures: imagine the number as a percentage. 30? Way to cold. 65? Pretty nice. 105? Way too freaking hot.

I'm amazed that they didn't mention that babies coming from cabbages is like a *thing* in folklore. It's like what adults told their kids before the stork story got more popular. Edit: Ok so I'm even more amazed that nobody in the comments has brought it up either.

Quick rule of thumb for Fahrenheit: it's scaled around human comfort/survivability. So 50 is right in the middle of what's comfortable, if a little on the low end. 70 is temperate, and 80+ is hot. 100 is REALLY hot, and anything higher than that is extremely uncomfortable. Hope that helps.

As someone who LIVES in a place where the summers bounce between 115 and 120 Deg F (about 46 to 48 Deg C), yeah, it feels like everything is on fire.

I love hearing Celsius folks talk CvsF. I've lived in the States right near the Canadian border so since birth I've watched Canadian Tv channels and listened to Canadian radio, so I'm pretty comfortable with F-C and Miles-Kilometers. 104 F is low 40s C and 5-10 C is like 40s-50s F. I imagine Canadians who live on the border near the US probably have the same comfort since we share radio stations.

I live in California where the 6 months of summer are weeks of 105°F or hotter. This state is constantly running out of water and on fire 🔥

AS A PARENT! I have NEVER forgotten my child at the store, in the back of my car, at the Mall/Zoo/Fry's Foods/etc. I have driven past my daughter's school ONCE on my way to work and almost forgot to stop. Looking in the rear view mirror, I saw my kid and circled the block to get back to the school. Now, in the 90's, my day planner was a different story.

I came back from a particularly late work day and let my dog out to use the restroom, forgetting to let him back in before I went to bed. He wasn't road trained. I woke up to my mother sobbing, telling me he'd been hit overnight. I can entirely see leaving a baby in a cabbage isle, may she never forget that incident.
