@@skylaarsays yeah, I’m much older. It was formerly an outdoor drive in theatre and it’s used nowadays for outdoor concerts. It was over 10 years ago that I’m talking about.
I'll always love the 'closer to original' line up, but they often sounded out of tune. Not to mention who the heck can keep up with Pollard's energy? Prolific is an understatement. He's a FREAKY MACHINE !
Perfect example of why Bob moved on and keeps moving. Reinventing, nightly. Nothing against Greg but man you don't get many chances at national television. I've been a fan since 1993 and it didn't bother me when the shows got better. Love Toby but also love Doug.
Try 50s. 60s now though. Bob's still a genius songwriter and the current lineup for the band is probably one of the best. Still releasing great albums. See "surrender your poppy field" "how do You spell heaven" or "space gun" for examples
I love GBV more than anything but this was a disappointing representation of them on the biggest possible platform. Who the fuck was the engineer? The guitars are out of tune ffs
