Looks lovely Graham. I'm still doing kits in the plastic 23L coopers fermenter. I've had a long 3yr break from brewing. I've missed it alot. And I'm looking forward to going for more advanced home brews like this. I've never kegged before so that'll be an interesting project. Would love a kegging for beginners video, if you could do one that would be brilliant. Obviously going from sugar drops in bottles, to kegs is a big intimidating step. Would love a handy video to help.

Hi Graham, Happy New Year. Nice brew mate. I got my Irish Stout in the keg, getting ready to carb up tomorrow when I get in from work. Brewed in the BM40, fermented in the bucket for 25 days, it did come out a little higher than yours at 5.8%, and I will force carb with 70/30. I have the stout nitro system ready, so wish me luck it comes out like yours. The Recipe is very similar to frank's, I use two hops, Challenger and East Kent Goldings, and I used Lallemand Windsor yeast. The Brew Monk makes thinsg so easy, I have a Brown Ale fermenting, and the next brew adfter that will be under pressure for the first time.

Yes the brew monk seem to be a good system so far so good the real test will be this weekend for me as I plan on doing a 60 ltr brew and splitting into 3 to make 3 different beer/IPAs from the one brew going to hop differently and use different yeast in each then pressure fermenting. Cheers keven . How to you clean your glasses ? That can effect the stout in the glass. To big head can be temp or slightly over carbonated . Did your force carbonate the stout or leave under pressure for a week ? Cheers 🍻

Alright mate if you don’t plan on ever doing 60ltr brews I would go with the be B50 . I have used my B70 for 2 x25 batches so far and it work perfectly but it’s a big machine. I plan on doing a 60ltr brew this weekend which will tell me how good it actually is . I am going to do a spilt batch . So brew 60 ltrs and spilt into 3 then hop differently and use different yeasts . So should have 3 brews from one brew day 😎 . Happy brewing pal cheers 🍻
I've only attempted one Guinness clone, and it came out delicious but tasted overly roasted and intense, exactly like a Guinness Extra Stout. How did yours compare in terms of lightness?
I have done so many now always chasing the perfect pint . The electric brewery stout I did is very good well worth brew . When you say lightness do you mean heavy to drink ?
@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 lightness in terms of taste. Guinness is quite a mild, smooth taste and the "clone" I attempted had flavors that were too bold, I guess you could say heavy.
@colin_g I no what you mean now pal some people say Guinness is to heavy as in they can only drink 3 and they are full . But flavour wise it wasn’t to heavy a nice brew . The brew I did a pint of plain was very light in flavor in fact probably to light as you could drink way to much of it easily cheers 🍻
