The fact that so many people love this song because of GH yet most never decided to dive into TFOT whole discography really bugs me and genuinely amazes me cause they’re AMAZING.
@@nutball3756 Doppelganger (the album this is from), In The Unlikely Event, OK, and Mukiltearth are all really good albums. In The Unlikely Event and "Manipulator" are probably the weakest of their discography however. OK was released with a few different mixes (aptly titled OK, OK#2, OK#3.1, and OK#3.2) you can really listen to versions 1 or 2 and they both sound good so it doesn't matter. Mix #3 is just the instrumentals. Phantom on the Horizon is a concept album that should be listened all the way through and not just as singles, but it's amazing. If you end up liking that a lot, one of the members also had a side project called "Just Like Vinyl" that only had 2 albums but both albums are really solid as well.
@@SugaryMiyamoto manipulator had some jams on it. If anything i would say it's the last of the old TFOT. In the unlikely event and onwards was a complete different sound, which I still like but definitely more standard composition and song structure, manipulator was still erratic and experimental in that sense. The Dark Trail is probably one of my favorite songs by them and Sledgehammer is a bop. Also when they play stuff from manipulator live it hits hard. I could see the argument for it being a lesser album than doppelganger just because that had a ton of classic songs on it and it was more thematically coherent. In the unlikely event always felt like a more mature album and it was the first one I got to experience as it came out so I was hyped on it but it was missing some of that more experimental side that i love from TFOT. I think it's definitely better than ok and the new stuff from mukiltearth tho. I still dig what they're doing now but as a personal preference thing I'm more likely to listen to manipulator than the last two albums on a regular basis.
its accurate to the band, since all of the screamed vocals are from the bass player. But since guitar hero is a band of 4 and theres a lead singer they just made the guitarist sing cause thats who you are playing.
My favorite song from GH3, I vividly remember how I'd always play it on that first backyard stage using Axel Steel with the brown shorts outfit and a blue finish SG guitar

The OG Guitar Hero games will always be elite and they take so much more skill to play than Clone Hero. I understand why a bunch of newer players prefer CH.
