To be honest GH3 was what introduced me to Rock and Roll. And oh boy, was it a journey. First fell into the Classical Rock greats like Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Queen Then I went into the 70's and 80's rabbit hole with bands like Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, Scorpions, Kiss After that I was in the world of 90's and 00's with bands like Rage Against the Machines, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers, Nirvana, Foo Fighters And finally I ended up in the technical world of Progressive Rock and Progressive Metal with bands like Tool, Opeth, Dream Theater, Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Gojira, Polyphia And after all that journey, I came back to Guitar Hero and finally realize that this song is a Progressive Rock song with it's weird Time Signature. Finally, what a circle it has been
I see that too. I remember when I turned 10 in September of 2008 and I played that game for a few years and yeah, I discovered a new sequence of amazing music
Such a great instrumental song to jam out too. I sure wish I can get my hands on that game and practice that song on expert one day. It'll help me coordinate the hammer ons better since I can do so much on expert that the easier songs on expert I can only beat like Slow Ride and similar songs like Paranoid as well as Mississippi Queen and Sabotage and also Yellow. Those songs I'm highly good at on Expert
in my opinion the game is much easier to play with hyperspeed. the biggest thing holding me back was seeing too many notes ahead of me and reacting too soon. when you have the notes coming faster you can almost... see them better. it becomes subconscious really quickly
I recently tried to play this cold. 15 years ago I could crush this easily. I failed miserably. I felt the age in my fingers. It was a cruel reality to wake up to
Am i the only one that used to sit there and act like I'm playing the song with my fingers... .I couldn't afford guitar hero and always wanted it so I'd just tap along with corresponding colors
i remember first time played a GH game, at my friends, i failed over and over again on easy. Come my birthday, i bought my own copy and went straight to medium, followed by hard, then expert. It wasnt as simple as that sounded, the jump from med to expert was insane for me, but i spent a lot of time on it, did it. What does all that time and effort get me? Good memories my friends. Not a useful skill in life at all, but it is a fun as fuck skill
i always loved how they kept the 19/16 part at 3:10 in 4/4 (and didn't even bother to "reset" in the dead space after since I know the game only has x/4 sigs) so the rest of the song's measures/beats are all fucked up lol actually I checked, they kinda DO reset with a "wrong" tempo in that part, but they come back in a beat early!! AHHHH
back in high school I had a friend who had trouble finishing this song, guess it was too hard for her. I remember her being mad as hell when I beat it 😂
