Guitar Player REACTS!! Animals As Leaders "Physical Education" 

If you ever do their song The Woven Web, there's a live at NAMM version where you can get a good look at Tosin's hands while he plays. That's the video that first turned me on to modern prog/metal.

You need to watch some live footage. For example, there's a spot in this song where the two guitarists vamp and drummer Matt Garstka goes off....and he never plays the same solo twice. They have a few songs like that. A couple personal favorites are Tempting Time, Ectogenesis, Gordian Naught, Gestaltzerfall, Inner Assasins and the Woven Web....but mostly cause I'm a drummer and most of those feature Matt's playing live. lol

Yes this song is the only one that managed to be played in radio in California apparently. It's also the only one that's listenable by anyone not used to dissonance hahaha Not: I love AAL but yeah it's kind of hard to share with others who dont listen to prog and jazz ;__; I recommend listening to any other songs to get back to the feel you got when listening to Red Miso (although you'll find their most intricate work in the last 2 albums I guess). The one track that everybody screams them to play at concerts is CAFO which is wild and brutal but beautiful at the same time. I recommend listening to any track fans recommend here. My prefered (outside the obvious CAFO) are Point To Point, New Eden, Earth Departure, Ectogenesis, Tooth&Claws, Min Spun, The Brain Dance, Godrian Knot...wait maybe all the tracks actually... BTW there is an old live video where Tosin Abasi was playing "Waves Of Babies" it's an exelent one to review as it shows you what's actually happening with the guitar side of their music.

This was much before Red Miso. Same 3 guys, but 8-10 years earlier. If you want to check out more - "Cafo" is a very popular but even-earlier song, though I presume you'd like that less. - "Bran Dance" is another very popular song of theirs. It came out a few years after this song. - Anything off the "Red Miso" album you'd probably like, "Micro-Aggressions" is one of my favorites.

This is their 3rd album 2014 Middle career, before red miso..Their 2nd and newest drummer at the time The goat, matt garstka. 8 string guitars.tosin plays his own company of guitars now,ABASI CONCEPTS, which do have MultiScale. Longer on the bass side if the guitar,like having a violin and dbl bass....Definitely more subdued and compress of an album. Id say more of a "POP" radio sound... Matt actually hates the drum sound on it. But it does punch 🤘🏽 my all time favorite band

Tooth and Claw, and The Brain Dance are also fantastic. The ladder being quite long at about 7 minutes lol

It is two albums before Red Miso's. Same guys in both tracks. It is one of their more straight forward songs but they weren't simpler before and more complex now for the most part. Their second album Weightless is the least favorite of many fans (not me) because of its harmonic complexity and experimentation for example. I've already recommended Soraya to you from their first album, perhaps listen to the song 'To Lead you to an Overwhelming Question' from the 2nd album to get an idea of how complex they were back then. I will be watching this channel with great interest
