Thank you very much for the demo. I lost the use of my left three fingers in a very nasty near death accident after 47 years of playing. I was a professional session guitarist, self taught, and then classically trained. I actually gave away three guitars, and sold one. I think now there is hope to still sling a heavy monster guitar over my shoulder once again. Thank you for the encouragement. If you sell lessons on DVD, please let me know. I'm retired now, and this is what my speech therapist for my attention, and concentrtion was talking about. Recovery has been slow, and most arduous. Thank you again.

I've played guitar most of my life (I'm 61) and never had the patience to learn slide guitar, but since I cut my left index finger on my left (fretting) hand I'm giving it a go again. I've already been through several other beginning slide guitar videos, but this is the best one yet. You are an excellent teacher - thanks mate!

Justin you're too good to be true - teacher. I'm learning from you without even need of a guitar next to me, nor to do it; and I can do it 1-2 hours later and still remember what you've said because you've explained it so detailed.

Hi Justin, another great lesson and perfect for newcomers to slide. I've been playing slide for some years and my heroes are Ry Cooder and Lowell George of Little Feat. Also love Michael Messer and Sonny Landreth. I agree with you that for beginners, starting in standard tuning is no bad thing, but eventually you will graduate towards open tuning to get the real Delta sound. A trick I learned from Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top is to tune the first string down to D. That way you can play in standard tuning with the bottom five strings(EADGB) and in open G with the top four strings (DGBD). It's a really neat trick!

VERY well explained. This is the first time I've watched one of your videos all the way through, and I'm extremely impressed. A lot of people have the guitar skill, but not the spoken talent to convey what they know - you've got both in spades. I'll be checking out more of your videos, and you can bet that if somebody asks me a question I can't answer, I'll refer them to your videos. Thanks for doing what you do.
