8:40 When you talk about the tone, a large part of it is that it was mixed with Vulf Compressor, a VST that their leader, Jack Stratton (the dude in the red and white soccer outfit), designed with audio software company Goodhertz. It features on all their recordings and it makes everything sound pretty fucking incredible.
Man you should watch this entire concert just for fun. You will realize many of them switch instruments!! Dean Town and Smile Meditation are good recomendations.
Vulfpeck! As a guitarist, check out Rango II by Vulfpeck ft Blake Mills. Blak came in and did that song in ONE TAKE. He had never heard it or practiced it. They gave him the melody for about 15 seconds and he was like "I got it". I don't know if I've heard guitar like that song before
so the permanent members of the band are Jack Stratton the drummer on stage left (with the smaller kit), Woody Goss the Pianist on stage right, Cory Wong (seems to be permanent now), Theo Katzman the guitarist in red, and Joe Dart the (legendary) bassist. Jack and Theo also occasionally sing and play different instruments depending on the song. Also didn't know you spoke german :) Grüße aus Bayern.
Jack is actually in red playing guitar in this video, Theo is playing drums. The guy on the black keyboard is Joey Dosik, he often features on their songs playing saxophone or singing. Richie Rodriguez is playing percussion, he was a one-off addition for this show.
You should definitely listen to Backpocket live at Madison Square Garden too. Not as much guitar, but there most popular song by far and an AMAZING performance during this concert!

You pronounce "Vulfpeck" exactly how the letters sound in English :) edit - just for some background, the name originally came about because of a dream that Jack Stratton had, where he was playing in a Motown-style studio band with that name. second edit: maybe it wasn't a dream, he just imagined a German version of the Funk Brothers with that name? idk knowing JS we probably won't ever get a concrete answer from him

If you like 2 drummer tightness check out King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, can't say I'm a day 1 fan only heard them a few years ago but man are they tight.
