Agreed. Glock 17 already hits fast and accurate enough for most uses without a comp, keeping the dot in the window on a 43x would be sweeet.

No, but it will. Same lugs on the barrel, same locking block geometry, and so on. As far as I can tell the only difference between using this in a G17 slide vice a G47 slide is that the G47 uses the shorter recoil spring assembly.

Except now you have a single action only and 1911 battery of arms, very different gun. Stippling, subjective and not necessary to many people (you would most likely have to do this with, for example a staccato as well for similar effect, my c2 has an almost unnoticeable difference in gripability to my g45 stock), and you would need to buy an optic for either gun so that’s moot, you’re spending that extra money no matter what if you want an optic

When you get a 2011 you also need an optic, light, magazines and unless you spend a lot more than 2k no 2011 will come with a comp either.

I have one for my 19. It's noticeable.....especially using +p or +p+ ammo, which is what it was designed for. If all you shoot is standard pressure 115gr or 124gr then this probably isn't for you.
