F91 did the fear of mobile suits thing sort of, a woman gets killed by a falling shell casing from a F71 G-Cannon's Vulcans. Watching this makes me think about if someone had done an actual review of Digimon Frontier and had discussions about how bad it was.
When I fist watched this, I miss read Vagan as vegan, and I never corrected myself. So for the rest of the series, it was militant vegans invading Earth.

The writing of the conflict makes perfect sense when you know Inazuma Eleven had a villain who planned on monopolizing all the worlds oil via soccer in the first series and a stupid plot that really poorly handles the concepts it’s given in Go Chrono Stone. Aka it’s stupid and borderline nonsensical.
Beyblade's main villain (and his minions) wanted to forcefully take over the world via international tournaments involving mainly children/teens playing tops that collide with the power of nukes, possessed by overpowered AI and/or mythical spirits.

The bad guy wasn’t weaponizing children or making super soldiers like the villain of the previous season using a magic rock, he was using a tournament that would (somehow) give him control of all the worlds oil. That’s it. That’s the beginning and end of how his plan was supposed to go. But Chrono Stone was far worse because it’s plot did some mind numbingly stupid things, treated soccer like it was actually a sentient being which even in series it wasn’t, created an entire world and wiped it out of existence and treated it as a good thing to give two characters the power of a magical Dragon and King Arthur, had a bunch of corrupt oligarchs be portrayed sympathetically when in universe they had tortured and murdered countless super powered children because they viewed them as a threat to their power, leading those kids to rebel against society exactly as they feared. That’s not even getting into their training camp for their child soldiers is a concentration camp to make them strong or kill them if they are weak, and how they feared these kids so much they tried to erase countless people in the past out of existence to ensure their power. And the heroes instantly side with them because the main character went “Soccer is sad! Those kids are bad!” This in spite of the fact that even when they created a planet with a magical dragon and King Arthur was real, Soccer canonically is still not a sentient force.
This isn’t even touching on how a mercenary teen from the future worked for the oligarchs in exchange for all crimes being pardoned, and brainwashed and used countless people and enjoyed every second he did it, and when the rebel kids came to him and recruited him, he turned on them because they were manipulating a fellow kid just once and goes “I don’t like how those guys operate”.

They didn't went back for 2 reasons: 1.: This entire colonisation attempt was done because earth was insanely overpopulated, and this was their idea to save humanity pretty much. Issue though is: The earth government didn't believe, at the time, that this attempt could be succesful due to technical limitations. Instead they send those people to Mars while believing they'd all die (without telling them the true reason of course), meaning the earth population would get massivly reduced while their hands would stay clean from a genocide. When the few that actually managed to survive landed on Mars they found out about this. Also, they did not have the means to get back to earth (the colonists lost most of their resources while travelling to Mars), and they were all, understandably, royally pissed at the earth government for what they did. Plus, even if they could've gone back they'd be in the same problematic position as before: The earth population having grown to big for planet earth to handle, meaning they'd get viewed as invaders regardless of what they'd do. 2.: Survival. Again, only a small portion of the settlers actually managed to get to Mars. Most ships got destroyed during their voyage to that planet, meaning they also lost a lot of the resources they tried to bring with them, which also included man-power. They were barely able to establish a semi-livable colony on Mars, and even that only worked with a good lot of hope and prayers. Mars also didn't have enough resources to mine for, and if you add in the constant radiation poisening it became borderline impossible to even think about leaving the planet in the forseeable future. What we see happening in Gundam Age took the Mars people a loooooooong time to even attempt this, and countless lives were lost as well. The show even went later on to establish how high child mortality is due to the constant radiation on Mars, so their numbers were limited from the get go on top of all of this.
I'll be honest, I miss the old format. Your writing and commentary is really good and I just can't seem to want to finish these newer style videos. I mean no disrespect, just miss the way you did your old videos.
Just a feedback. I think was better when was just you and your amazing writing. Somehow, I can't finish your early videos, but your old videos I've watched more than 3 times each. I prefer the old format and amazing soundtrack.
I actually prefer your older format, it was more engaging and was very entertained by them I recommended a couple of my friends on it. The newer one just ain't doing it for me.
I guess that when you don't like something is easy to find faults everywhere. I cannot change another opinions on something, but at least let me counter nitpick something. This is a story that should span 100 years so it's ok that there are unsolved issues at the end of arc 1. Also they explain later how Desil controlled the Farsia. In general I think that all Gundam series have the problem of being better on a second watch, after you get all the context of what is happening. That is especially true for AGE in my opinion, it become clearer after you watch it and memories of Eden.
