Most of the people at takeovers arent being egregiously reckless. its a very small element.. and theres things cops could do to manage the situation but they opt for chasing hundreds of cars all across the city instead of containing it.

It’s already illegal, the cops just never show up or if they do show up, they don’t investigate anything. We have all this video evidence and not a single person has been arrested. It happens in my city all the time in the exact same location. In 3 months only 1 person has been arrested. The police don’t care and don’t enforce the law.

I was born in San Francisco in 64, at different times of my youth I lived all over Southern California. I’m so Blessed to have left in 89 when in MY OPINION things really started to change. While I deal with health issues that California could help with I’m HAPPY I LIVE IN KANSAS! I’ll take the cold, the humidity for a more safe living surroundings. So grateful none of my kids are stationed in California and my grandkids live a better quality of life

Many reasons why. 1st) you really want officers to simply monitor TikTok lol. Trust me they’ll take the easy OT and deserve it but it’s just a waste of time and resources. 2nd) even if they are caught, city prosecutors and DA’s are not prosecuting them. No real punishment so why should police offers lay their necks out on this. Justice only works when the executive, judicial and legislative branches are all on the same page. 3rd) no officer would approach a mob like this without sufficient back up. I’d say at least 10-15 units to effectively shut this down with impounds. The last thing they need to worry about is little joker running up behind them and trying to ambush them. Not work it.

There’s cops all up and down the two streets they mentioned in video. It definitely could’ve been stopped. Likely didn’t want to. At same time we don’t know how long they were there, but it’ll be hard to get away with street takeover for long time on Florence and Crenshaw.

Police officers are doing their job, it’s the court and judges who let same offenders out with little or no bail, and usually they are second or third time offenders anyway.
