I got one of these style chairs second hand. If you're not in it, it tilts back slightly. When you sit in it it's fine, until you lean back in which case it reclines. Just like a recliner. Do you know I can stop it from tilting too far back and lock it when I want? Thanks in advance, I've neen looking it up for a while but can't figure out what I'm doing.

The springs were a bit shorter than the original springs, so the adjustable knob wouldn't go down far enough for the new springs.

Would replacing the springs help if the chair is leaning forward too far ?

These chairs sit at a rght angle, pretty much 90 degrees, which makes it uncomfortable without leaning back. They kind of help. The new springs on mine allow you to lean back properly to make it more comfortable. Before replacing them, I was in fear of leaning back at all, which made the chair very uncomfortable.
