I'm in barber school and I've been doing my own beard for years now and the way this guy explains the process of trimming a full beard is very comprehensive. Keep the vids coming.

@@markmorris8355, I had very bad experiences with Wahl. Beardbrand is from Austin, which is hot and damp most of the year, but I'm from tropical Brazil, albeit from a high-altitude place where it's warm but not nearly as hot as the South Texas extremes, and with a marked dry season with very low air humidity. The point is, I've had two Wahl clippers and they were very good at first, but within a month they were unusable because all metal parts had rusted and were flaking away. I wiped and cleaned the clippers after every use, oiled them right, and kept them in a mesh pouch that would let any residual moisture dry off. Still, they quickly rusted. Wahl and Braun are the only brands of clippers I've had with these serious corrosion problems and I don't trust them any more because of that. In my experience, Panasonic is the best, but it's been hard to find here lately. My second choice would be Gama (a brand from Italy). Philips is well designed, but too fragile, doesn't last long, and most models have weak motors. But lately I've been using a local Brazilian brand called Mondial and it's pretty good, I've no complaints.

That part of the ear is called the tragus. a small pointed eminence of the external ear, situated in front of the concha, and projecting backward over the meatus. Love the content.

What a great video - kept me watching for the whole episode, props to the camera man and who ever edited it all together, very natural. Not to mention the natural exchange between the two gentlemen, very fluid and wholesome. Excellent transformation. Loved seeing him transform from Adrian Pimento (Brooklyn 99) to modern gentleman! We get a lot of questions about beard trims with longer guards - Glad to see a professional trim with NO GUARDS! This is the best way to shape a beard. People want to take the easy out with just snapping on a guard, but you can't get the shaping like that with guards.

External Auditory Meatus [EAM] is what that part of the ear is called. It is where internally where your tympanic membrane [eardrum] is located. Great cut!

My old barbershop in Central Texas had an ex Navy PBY crewman in the chair by the window. Old man smoked like a chimney and had a crazy tremor in his hand, but every time he'd make a cut, he'd do some kind of voodoo and stop his shake to make the cut right. Good memories in that place. There'd be guys in their teens, all the way up to old farmers in their 80s sitting on the bench waiting their turn. I think they had 4 chairs.

You ain’t kidding. If you find one you like, make it known and leave that tip. Good barber that knows what their doing is hard to find. There is definitely a difference between a Supercuts barber and one you’ve known half your life. No offense to Supercuts barbers out there but they just don’t KNOW you like your barber knows you, personally.

I love the apron used here. I'm a huge fan of waxed canvas. Looks like something by Ship John or Iron and Resin. This is such a cool barber shop. I can't seem to find something like this in the Phoenix valley. If anyone has suggestions for the Phoenix west valley, I'd love to find a nice gentlemenly place like this.
