You were only saying what we were all thinking. Anyone who says they are trying boxing, followed by exclaiming "kick, kick, punch," while simultaneously throwing two punches and a kick (in that order). . . I mean, they KINDA have it coming. Still, they tried. Which is kinda their thing 🤔
It's ok if you're not a skilled fighter but those first two guys annoyed me because they weren't taking it seriously. I appreciate the effort from the next two guys because they were actually putting in the work.
I'm sorry but this increased my depression more , this not anyone's fault, it's just a me problem , i think i would enjoy this more if the coaches trained them a month and let them fight each other 😆
The most surprising thing i got from this is that although they were gassed and clearly not conditioned to go 3 hard rounds, they persevered and kept swinging. Not bad for a first time
did they have any other choice though? they were on camera and knew that whatever they did would be uploaded to RU-vid for thousands, or millions of people to watch of course youd push yourself to the absolute limit when youre pressured by having whatever you do be known to millions of people besides that, they also had another pressure of needing to go longer to get more filmable moments that would make it to the final cut, if they gave up at the middle and cut the fight short, theyll have less moments to work with
this guy is the man i learnd most of my boxing from tony and my kicks from sensei seth. and my training partner help a littal I guess. jk he help a lot
I know with my friends, the moment the round started they would be out for blood lol. Are they really your friends if they don't jump at the opportunity to punch you in the face?
No. No, they are not. My friends would do the same. I'm not sure if that's because we all train together, or if I'm just really annoying. Probably a combination of both.
The one whose the best decides. I don’t wanna hard spar my friends because I’ll knock them out. They’ve gone hard before and I up the output and they end up tko’d. Not trying to sound cringey either because that’s not what I want, they haystack havnt trained like me but I’m not gonna let them throw bombs 🤷🏻♂️ I prefer to keep it one step above them or vice versa that way we’re always fighting someone slightly better and improving because of it
@@jaywilliams6250 Jabs aren't really used for doing any real damage though. It's meant to be like a really quick in-and-out punch or to feint. A jab CAN knock somebody out, but you don't use a jab TO knock somebody out. At least this is from my understanding of the purposes of a jab.
@@gagetaylor192 it depends if you’re landing your jab easily and they’re not throwing afterwards you can throw a power jab that is meant to do damage, that’s what you see guys get dropped by when people are like “oh he got dropped by a jab”
@@tristanbowman7098 Just watch him and ask yourself is that black belt legit? Be honest with yourself. A lot of McDojos hand out black belts to anyone and everyone, especially TKD places.
@@paradoxal4 sure, but you said "none of these guys have ever done any real martial arts". Eugene is of Korean decent and studied for many years, doesn't mean he is good, but he has studied. That's all I'm saying.
@@tristanbowman7098 Yes I said they haven’t done any REAL martial arts which is true. Mcdojos are not considered REAL martial arts at all. He could have studied from childhood until he is an old man, but if he studied a false BS martial art (which is shown in this vid from his “skill”) then it counts for nothing. Doesn’t matter if he is Korean, Japanese, Bosnian, Brasilian. Just because someone is asian or Korean does not make them good at martial arts 🤣 so that point has no validity in your argument.
I use to coach new guys at my old gym. The biggest flaw I saw in them is that they're too married to any one particular punch. They wanna get set up in one particular position, then throw whatever one punch they like. It's kinda like watching someone set up for a shot put. Against most new guys (barring guys that have that natural killer instinct) you can literally just hunker down, absorb whatever punch they throw, and then just throw whatever you want. Granted, you would be a d-bag for doing that, but it shuts people down who aren't ready to handle more than one punch coming at them.
I get the no head punches even tho they wearing headgear since it's pretty much their 1st sparring session ever. But I think that actually reinforces bad habits, they end up holding their hands so low by their waist since they know no head shots r coming.
it's always surprising. you sorta expect a goofy video but, no. they have fun sure but, they are actually putting in the effort for the short amount of time they have and do try to actually pay attention.
It's not just that they're unskilled, but they're really not going in there with the right mentality. They're basically having a slapping match, but with closed fists instead.
that was so fun to wach when seth was talking about the up and down movement and then the dud hit him just how seth explained it was so so funny it look like a goofy version of the peeckaboo style
Damn, not sure if it's because I've been doing some boxing of my own recently but it's odd how you can just look at someone and know you'd be able to beat them
No Seth. U r too nice. They're not just bad boxers. They are the most uncoordinated people ever and I'd loose my shit just trying to teach them a one two. And that's why am not a coach lol.
I've always really liked your videos, good mix of key information vs comedy. Your editing keeps getting better too. Im from Australia, been practising Karate since i was 14. Im 35 now. Boycotted ranking and grading after shodan. Learn heaps from youtube inc new kata and real life training stuff like hardtohurt. I work in security and have done for several years. Im quirky, laid back, peaceful and diplomatic in all my approaches. Saying all this because i want some help coming up with a concept for a youtube channel of my own.. any ideas? There's not enough from Australia! And maybe that alone is enough to get a channel going?
Absolutely for the endurance of the shoulders. How many guys do you see start to drop their hands as soon as they get tired. Or how about trying to change a light fixture on a ceiling??? But looking cool and showing off that you're a boxer is pretty much the most important reason. Especially when you start adding in tricks and footwork. Double end bag was my go-to show off equipment.
Creator Clash commentary when? They also were mostly amateur 1st timers but they trained for some months, most fights went on without headgear and they used actual boxing rules. They are still new to boxing so you still have a lot of mistakes to point out (but far less than tryguys) but also a lot to give points to (some actual tactics, decent forms and the boxing itself). For few of the fights you could even watch some interviews (or videos of their own) they did after the matches explaining what went wrong or why they changes something that made them win/lose.
It takes a tremendous amount of courage and guts to willingly throw yourself in there, especially if it's totally alien to you. Good on these guys for putting it all out on the line like that.
they get paid an insane amount to do this garbage. you're essentially saying "it takes a tremendous amount of courage for a construction worker to do a job he isnt familiar with". did you not also see the 2 guys playing ass grab as their "Rounds" ? come on .
@@thepjup4507 They were having fun with it, but i'm sure they were also afraid of looking like fools and compensating for it. They pushed outside of their comfort zones.
fair, you're right. they usually do "the try guys get waxed" or "the try guys eat $10,000 acai bowls". anything remotely physical is going to be insanely strenuous, good point you're right.@@user-il9ze9py8c
It would be but usually fighters are extremely focused and locked in when preparing for a fight. Like there’s no time at all to be wasted. So it’s probably unlikely he will do that.
I been in bad spots growing up. Guard is not a worry in a street fight. No gloves. Be first to hit. No plan after hit in face . If you have never been hit before and want to talk tough. Have you and your pal have half way hits but still try. You can't act tough if you have never been bare fist smashed in the face before.
Crossing your feet, over extending, dropping hands, pausing, resetting after a slip instead of countering, just walking around and even sprinting. Hopping. Lots of hopping. Looping slow punches. Those are just the many things I do. Also I could in no way do three 3 minute rounds.
I think you were fine in your video. If you are not familiar with the guys then their antics can seem weird but their audience enjoys it. I wouldn’t want to fight my friends because I wouldn’t want to lose my temper if someone hit me with a hard shot. Didn’t mind it karate but my friends didn’t train.
i got my ass beat when i was sparring my friend who did boxing for like 1 year and me who did taekwondo for about 7 years, notice that we were in year 7 and you could just hear thudding and my head bouncing from side to side from being hit so hard and this was apparently 'light sparring'
In my youth, martial arts was my life to an unhealthy level - not that I was good - I just didn’t have any other hobbies or friends or interests really. I dated and socialised almost exclusively with people from martial arts “scene” including “rival” clubs. The girl I was seeing got into it with a girl at a party where like 90% of people attending trained one style or another. I asked the other girl’s boyfriend to not escalate the conflict and maybe work with me to break it up… which he wasn’t into as a concept. I’ve never seen or heard of another time where a couple who trains got into a fight with another couple who trains. It lasted like 20 seconds before the rest of the party broke it up and absolutely nothing “cool” happened. Drunk morons at a party - even ones who train - never look cool in real fights.
It’s not the lack of skill, it’s the idea that it’s a joke. The red and black shorts didn’t bug me nearly as bad. The first 2 guys are just disrespectful to the coach
03:37 Tony Jeffries :D Olimpic Medalist boxer!I think He can enough good boxing :) In Los angeles He has the best boxing gim in the city! But the two boxer guys is really terrible xd :D XDXD
