They have a story in the witcher lore, have members in Nilfgaard as well as the Northern Realms, put prize to the head of Yocasta the Silver basilisk from Toussaint. In the witcher 1 appears an emissary from Nilfgaard. They're like an evil corporation who seek global domination.

There's so much unused leader art now I was kind of expecting Radovid to make a comeback with this. We need proper cards with the old leader characters now that they're just skins I feel. Leader skins alone just isn't as cool.
0:53 they say all allies benefits automatically of his zeal, but what he does is boost them by one when they're played so that the units with formation gain their zeal and motivation effect.
I'm very glad you taking the time to play it. Gwent is such a nice distraction from main game, wish TES/FO had that, only mod makes me play Skyrim to this day Triple Triad. Okay going off topic, wish I played my first time through. I got denied in that tournament 2nd and more since , play Gwent... Just look at your side quests and complete it. It's stupid, yet very fun. If you're a completionist, GWENT, GWENT you go lady. Again, my first time PT options were limited due to ignoring this reprieve of main quest.
Who else is so ready for a Witcher 4 with Ciri? 😱❤️ Even these small story snippets coming out of Gwent get me so exited for a bigger picture story where we see new lands, meet new characters and battle strange creatures 🙌 I'm hyped for Cyberpunk and understand that the team needed a mental break from the medieval universe, but I pray that they return to it after the last Cyberpunk dlc. There is just something so compelling about the world of Witcher 🤓🤪
Stop with the insane power creep. It took me 0.1ms to realize how insane this works with Vissegerd. It got out of hand last time and now it's straight insanity.
Reynard does the same WITHOUT restriction to soldiers so no, this card doesn't make Vissegerd any better. If you think that his order can be reset I shall disappoint you (or make you burst of joy, not sure) - Vissegerd is a CHARGE based card, not an Order based, so you CANNOT reset his order with the evolving card (in theory you can but it won't do anything); also Vissegerd gains his charges on deploy which doesn't work well with the evolving card.
@@aguardente6531 it depends on how the meta evolves. Even now, in some matchups it is not that great. The new cards don't seem to orbit around boosting units, so it is not that good... just my opinion.
This has left a pretty sour taste in my mouth. We really need some support for a Warfare archetype, but this card suggests we're just getting more midrangey stuff.
He's a very minor character(in the base game, atleast) whom you meet in the first area of the witcher 3. He seems to know Geralt upon seeing him and helpfully points him in Yennefer's direction. If I go any further, I'd have to spoil the entirety of Hearts of Stone.

@@arszene4129As professor Shakeslock said, he's evil incarnate. You can't defeat the concept of evil, many people believe he's a powerful demon or the devil in the world of the witcher. But he's just that, evil made into a person.
Did u even read the rest? If that card wont use his movement order ability he boost himself. The order movement is just an option. If for example the opponents drop a row lock card.
But you can't play it instantly to react opponent row-lock engines/cards like damien steffan artis etc then the movement will be useless, i think at least make it have the formation tag so we have the option to play it reactively not always proactive
@@bangzor7740 then play it first before ur opponent plays their steffan or damian. Then they will be force to remove it. And if they cant then boom. Gold countered by bronze. Plus playing it 1st and early can also benefit you with his turn boost.
Viraxas obtained throne with help from Brotherhood of Mages, which meant he had quite a loan to repay. He taxed the port and had to expand eastward for more wood. But this wood was Brokilon.
A bit underwhelming this one, tbf... I (like many others) expected a more prominent character such as Radovid or Meve, both of which have no in-game card, but whatever - only aesthetics, I suppose. However I see no idea behind these NR cards. SK have veterans, NG have disloyal, MO spawn frosts, Syndicate spawn Fireswarm.. What tag or concept does this NR expansion deck follow? A 3/5 that self-boosts if he doesnt move an opponent? Without zeal, he'll be a sitting duck for whatever target we might want to move. At least move any unit so as to avoid frost effects. Egmund is a slightly upgraded Drummer, until one uses his order - nothing special. And the leader? A bit meh to be honest. Two only useful NR Order units are Red Baron and Anseis. I'd rather use movement+Geralt:Yrden combo..both in two moves, cheaper, no devotion needed, better result.. Considering most use Anseis in a duel mode, he'd be surely damaged already.. So 4dmg max from order reactivation. A bit weak 3rd round concept, comparing to some other evolving cards that can potentially turn 15 pts moves. Boostings soldiers is okeish... But I fear what would happen if NG can cheaply purify and seize him to boost own soldier units. As a big NR fan, cant deny the disappointment. Ps: I know everyone wanted machine/siege support, but CDPR clearly created all the evolving cards with the intention not to synergize them with scenario cards. Shame, but not really surprised with that.

@@dariot5225 i know but NR could really use an "offensive" movement card for defenders, steffan etc. Right now it can easily get removed and without zeal, lose the window of opportunity to get the most out of the movement. Edit: i know war chariot exists but it is difficult to fit in decks
Łał. Żeby Kerrack pojawiło się w gwincie to się nie spodziewałem, bo jak rozumiem to lorowo wraz z Viraxasem zostanie dodany cały archetyp tego namorskiego państwa. Chociaż Kerrack leży na kontynencie to jednak po cichu liczyłem że trafiłoby ono do Skellige. Założyciel królestwa król Osmyk przecież był piratem plądrującym wybrzeża
tbh I love the witcher 3 gwent game but really to not like this version and never have. I dont like the over complicated and aggressive play styles with needing to consider like 20 steps in advanced with nearly every card doing something unique. Now. I know plenty of people like this and enjoy playing this version of gwent, hats off to you, but for me I honestly wish it was a carbon copy of the witcher 3, a lot simpler, more fun, and gives a chance to give the console players something fun to do on the road. Now it could just me being trashing and not wanting to grind and put in the hours learning every single card and combo it has, but I just dont like this style of gwent.
Not sure about how good this is... Only good NR order ability cards that come to mind are Anseis and Baron, maybe Roche. Baron is typicly played towards the end of the round so I don't see him synergizing well because Viraxas acts as an engine, so he should be played early.
Scoia'tael is left, wonder what archetype will it be. The thing that it hasn't done is playing special card, so will it be it? Of course golden special will be out of question. Other thing to consider is what will it boost/be boosted by at the third form. By now the only ST cards that has been revealed are treants and a druid token.
