Best exhaust note as far as I'm concerned. I have that on my 4runner, and am thinking of getting one for my GX as well. Good Job getting one as well. 👍
And thanks for the thorough review/demo of the Gibson exhaust, the sound fits the GX perfectly IMO. Personally I would extend the exhaust tip a little bit past the bumper. Recently Magnaflow came up with a Overland series catback exhaust for GX470 but it sounds weaker and cost twice as much as the Gibson, I’m sure it drones a little less than the Gibson though. At the end of the day I still prefer an electric cut-out for my exhaust but for off the shelf exhaust system the Gibson wins hands down. 👍🏼
I saw you have airbag warning light on - I recently dealt with the light with my 04 GX, it’s the harness connects to the driver seat seatbelt buckle. There was a TSB for it because the harness was designed too short. They have since corrected the design and the way to fix the light is to replace the driver side seatbelt buckle (it comes with new harness). Be sure to get one that’s same color to your seat (grey or beige).
Thanks for the video! I’ve subscribed as well since I’m interested in all your GX content. I was wondering if you had any insight to the sounds, MPG, HP after living with it for a while. I’ve heard MPG can actually go down on the GXs with aftermarket exhausts. How is the drone at highway cruising? I saw that part in the video, but I find it’s hard to get an accurate idea of real life sounds from videos. I think I’m in the majority looking for something to make it sounds like a V8 when accelerating but won’t drive you crazy/dead when cruising. Thanks!
