Hey Fans! We are all fans of something and maybe we are fans of some of the same things and thats why you're here.
I like to build, modify, restore and solve problems and sometime I come up with ideas that I want to share. It is very satisfying fix something that's broken and make it better than new or fits your needs better. Come and see what I've been up to.
My lights are on the blink. I checked the power source coming into the unit and it's good so that means it's something in the charger itself. It's only a few years old so this is very disappointing for a unit that sits high and dry in a center console of a boat.
It can be. You can do it yourself easily if your tires have a large sidewall like the ones in the video. The mechanics at the tire shop even struggle to mount a low profile tire using the tire machine.
All tires and rims are not the same. I just broke beads and there is no way this would have worked on my tires. 265/70R15. I used a scissor jack under a truck frame and it was difficult.
I'm guessing that with lower profile tires (as you'd explained) I could probably use crowbars (wrapped in electrical tape to protect the rim) to coax the tires (275/40R17) onto the rim efficiently. What say you to that idea? Never tried it ever. Might work.
Did you put in a non-TPMS valve stem? If so, won't the computer sense this and the low air pressure warning light always be on? Doesn't that TPMS have to be in there if it was in from the factory?
😂I find this funny why! Why did you take it out!? Because light was on? Now it will permanently be on so solved nothing… waste of time and no tire shop will do this because it’s a safety issue. But more power to ya!
the soap and water made a magic. it broke the seal easily. i used my towing bar of the car for support. i tied the 4x4 beam with a rope, and this way the 4x4 was always tight against the pivoting point. i dropped my old sensor inside. extraction: using a short piece of a garden hose attached to a strong shop vacuum cleaner. how do you inflate it, if the rubber tire does not touch the metal rim. all the air goes out easily. yes i know the trick with the starter fluid and i am not going there.
God, I hope mine is just stained. Yesterday it started whining, and today I'm backing into a spot in a bougie hood and it started whining like hell. The mom in the Tesla was giving me god awful looks just before she found out I was her kids' chess coach. lol
Watching this makes me feel like I am trying to put a 15 inch tire on a 16 inch wheel. Can't even get one side on a 235-15 tire. Don't feel bad if NO YOU CAN"T DO IT ON MANY TIRES.
