Ps. People please dont use the impact to put the filter plug back on. It has a rubber o-ring on the plug. Tighten it hand tight and then about a 1/4 turn. You damage that o-ring guys, you got a leak. Not to mention its aluminum.... You strip it, you just inherited a problem. Be easy with that plug and the drain plug. Remember, o-ring and aluminum.
Never , ever , use an impact on any drain plug !!!! Especially those type with the large out integrated washer. They will crack and you will strip drain bolt engine threads. Always wrench tighten with care , any drain bolt. Easy does it.
Power tools to remove and install an oil drain plug...THAT'S JUST WRONG! And then there is the matter of using carb cleaner on the filter rubber/nitrile seals...again WRONG!
Can this gear oil be used in place of the 85w90 synthetic that xpro told me to use for my Bali 150cc? I can't find 85w90 synthetic oil anywhere not sure they even make it
Omg impact in the drain plug.. wtf man … this has been out for 7 years so I can’t imagine the amount of stripped plugs out there now. Also the dip stick should be out of the bike when you drain it
I got a 2004 Yamaha vino scooter 125 can you please tell me what kind of gear oil to use in it. If you can help me I've ask lots they said don't no so can you tell me
hi ya.. ive had an issue thats new to me. i had oil fuel mix poring out of the vavle cover breather which also filled up the air box. do you think its a new carb or petcock
Does all these 3 oils have almost same viscosities and can be interchangeable as a gear oil in transmission of 110cc gearless scooters. SAE 10W30 engine oil , API GL-4 SAE 80W-90 gear oil and GL-4 SAE 90 grade gear oil.
Hey Joey, Hope you are doing well. First of all thank you very much for your all videos. Its all good. I have a 150 cc scooter from Znen. The model is T9. It has a GY7 engine. Could you please tell me which engine oil grade will be nice for it? Now I am using 10W30 from GULF which is full synthetic. But before i used 20W40 semi synthetic from Castrol after the braking period as company mentioned it earlier. But I was not getting the engine smooth and thats why i changed my mind and now i am feeling the engine is running smooth by using 10W30 ! My question is - Am I doing anything wrong over here by changing the engine oil grade ?
I've got a question idk if you touched upon. But I've got a spark plug issue so I've gotta rethread the hole or replace the head. If I were to remove and replace the head do I need to drain the engine or is okay to leave alone? (Sorry if it's a dumb question)
hello sir. Can i use gasoline engine oil like 10w30 to my scooter with separate transmission?. currently im using 10w30 jaso-mb with api sn. thank you.
Joey does the Gy6 have a beebee ball above the filter ? Just watched another video guy says dont lose the beebee ball as this supplies oil to the head thanks
Yep Impact wrench is a No No you stretch your thread a little each time until you pull them out! it's only cheap aluminum against the steel cap Thread.jim
Much obliged man, I was looking on the wrong side of the bike, trying to take off the filter... You saved me a lot of work and potential maintenance fees at a shop...weird that the drain isn't on the bottom like a car tho...
I actually didn't know about the drain plug by the transmission I just took out the nut with the filter on the bottom and drained it like that. I hope I didn't screw something up I wouldn't think so?
@@Rammstein0963. I just put it back in after draining it and then put 30 oz as the owners manual says and use 15 -40 regular or 5-40 synthetic and I just split the difference and use 10-40 Mobil 1 synthetic motorcycle racing oil. I've got a 2023 wolf ex150 sport freaking love it.
Hey once my moped gets to around 12 mph, it jerks kind of. Then it takes like 15 seconds to reach top speed (30mph). What do you think could be the problem of this acceleration issue?
Depending on who you listen to, which GY6 Buggy/ scooter video you watch, dipstick is either IN or OUT to check level, or they say fill to manual ( for which none exists that does say 'fill ot mark') and I still don't know!
All other eng. that I have had with dip sticks like this I was always told out was the proper way, that was from a dealer for riding lawn mowers.. I would think they would know..
Some bad advice on filling the gearbox. You dont fill it till it drains out. You fill it with about 2-3 oz of gear oil. You can use 80/90 or 75/90. Either will work. Never overfill the gearbox.
Yes it will work, the shell rotella bottle says something like "and also gas engines". These scooters get awful hot. Diesels get this way too so they need something better than just plain car oil.
+Chris Mcclinton Super cheap off of aliexpress. It's basically a straight pipe with that squarish end part to Mae it appear legal. No baffles or anything. I love the sound. m.aliexpress.com/s/item/32815844530.html?spm=a2g0n.search-cache.0.0.4c13fe72P36yPP
