A beautiful performance, I found a great balance between the choir voices, and between the choir and the orchestra voices ... too often huge choirs are used, and the musical part tends to get lost. Really good the director!

Of all the ones i've heard, this is probably the most accurate to what heaven would sound like. Bravo 👏

My favourite version is still my favourite version but gee, this is very good and extremely joyful. That's a very special moment at the start when the audience breaks into rare spontaneous applause and Haïm turns around with a smile a mile wide. I'll keep coming back to see that and then wait till that magnificent succession of moments of ascending phrases of "King of Kings" ! ! Yeah, it's a very special version. One more "Bravo!" We live in the most amazing times. There are horrors but there are moments of beauty beyond description too. ❤❤❤ (Edit 28 July 2020. There are two other pieces by hr-Sinfonieorchester, Haïm & Chœur du Concert D’Astrée which seem to be part of a concert with this piece coming as a surprise as an encore. The pieces I found were Bach's Magnificat and Handel's Dixit Dominus. All seem to be from 1 December 2017 and these latter two can also be found on RU-vid.)
