I think her voice is a little to deep for the role .

This is probably my favorite part of the whole thing the birds running around and laughing and teasing the beast. This is a really good tribute to beauty and the beast.

No H.E.R. ruined Belle they should of got Hailey to do this too that was the worst version of Belle I have ever seen

Did she slay it? LOL Atleast Josh has a background in acting & theater. It's not all about how she sounds (though a limited range) they need to actually act too.

@RandomHouze I have to disagree entirely about her limited range, just based on the Beauty and the Beast clips I'm seeing (not familiar with her work). She doesn't have a limited vocal range, she's just not a regular soprano. Pretty sure she's mezzo. Either that or she's like Josh Groban and lands in between two categories. She admittedly isn't *super* strong on emoting via face, but really she's about the same as most new ingenues. Plus the emotion in her voice more than makes up for it imo.

Her voice is strong, and amazing, it matches Josh's perfectly.

@@patriniacopeland6891 yes her voice is strong BUT it is lacking that princess type voice, I kept waiting for it even Emma Watson did it well and she not the best singer. Not hating for shaming but I grew up with that type of voice in my head so I was waiting for it go happen. Josh has that voice we are all familiar with as the beast, it’s nostalgic.

Do you guys think it may be because she isn’t singing in that normal high pitch voice that we hear princesses sing? I feel like Disney does this thing where most of their princesses have a high picture voice to give them that dainty feel of a princess they lead us all to believe was a corner stone of being a princess? I’m purely asking what you all think to see if it is something someone else has noticed.

Her voice was so autotuned that i haven’t watch the movie since 2017, at least HER knows How to sing

Josh Groban is in the puppet costume! No other puppeteers are in it!

It’s funny though, the Beast puppet does sort of remind me of one of the puppets in The Lion King because it’s done in this Bunraku style (Bunraku for those of you who don’t know is a Japanese style of puppetry where the performer is visible onstage) and this is the style that the puppets in The Lion King are done in. Another interesting fact about The Lion King puppets is that none of them are operated by trained puppeteers,(at least compared to say the people who work with the Muppets.) They are just actors who are trained to operate the puppets in a way that looks convincing enough (which if you think about it is exactly what Josh Groban is doing here, he’s operating the puppet pretty well considering he’s had limited time to learn how to use it.) I think it would be neat to one day have a Broadway revival of Beauty and the Beast that used puppets. They sort did that for a Disney cruise line adaptation of the 2017 remake, I think it would be a cool way to depict the small scale of the enchanted objects and the massive size of the Beast, but also preserve the humanity that these characters have.

You should check out the puppetry work for the tiger in the Life of Pi musical! I believe the puppeteers won a tony for their work or some similar award

She's mixed.

This isn’t the Broadway musical. In fact sadly not a single song written for the Broadway musical was in this version and several characters were cut… not to mention all the lip-synching that didn’t line up with the pre-recorded tracks. 😢 It was pretty to look at tho.

She used her British accent, she made costume designers change her dress and it ended up looking bad, she isn’t really that great of a singer like she’s not terrible but they should’ve casted someone who excels at singing and doesn’t need to rely on the support of autotune bc it’s a fricking musical
