Killer riff on the intro! Nicely played brother. Man, overdrives and distortion pedals have become “ho hum” to me. This one sounds fine, as almost all do ( if not pretty much the same). I’m not sure if I like the mounting plate or not. I think it would be better if it was removable. I’d like to see someone do something totally different with these type of pedals, although I’m not sure what that could be. Good demo, good playing. Keep ‘em coming..

Always love the one liners ! LOL One day you should edit them all down to one video. Maybe for New Years day. The Hagerman is dead cool. Most pedals stand on their initial voicing and all the EQ and features can not sell bad one. These guy just give that initial voicing. How daring! But hell they nailed it. thanx for finding us really cool and different pedals

Pedals and dad jokes hahaha! Def more of a 70's kinda drive, but seems to work good as a greasy boost with a driven amp.

Hey Robert, so you started showing up in my RU-vid feed again. Idk if me being a subscriber or not affected it. Hope that info helps you.
@RobertWJackson
@RobertWJackson 3 года назад
Man, when I comes to the RU-vid algorithm, I have no idea what affects it and what doesn’t anymore. People who have been loyal Subwcribers and have watched and commented on every video I’ve posted for years will suddenly stop getting alerts for my channel. A lot of people have to unsubscribe and then resubscribe and hit the bell again to start receiving alerts again. Who knows what RU-vid’s line of thinking is when it comes to that stuff. LOL

Most makers use a Hammond 1590 B enclosure. Hagerman usea 1590 C. Do you think the c is for 'cool' ? :-)
@RobertWJackson
@RobertWJackson 3 года назад
I honestly have no idea what any of that means. LOL 1590B, 1590C, 1590XYZ.... What are they, what are the differences, and how many variations are there?
@Paul_Lenard_Ewing
@Paul_Lenard_Ewing 3 года назад
@@RobertWJackson the famous MXR Phase 90 is in a Hammond 1590 B box as are the lion's share of MXR pedals.It is the most common box on the planet for a pedal to be built in.I have pedals by 18 different manufacturers in that same box. There is company in Taiwan running 24/7 making a clone of the 1590 series and they use the 1590 B and other letters from Hammond so the buyer know what they are getting. The series now has boxes slightly wider longer or taller. But they are 1590 b's with an extra letter etc.There are 2 or3 companies that will drill out the holes, paint and print graphics for smaller companies for example Barber, Mr. Black, Friedman, Catalinbread, Stomp Under Foot, Solid Gold etc. I regularly communicate with a hell of a lot of the smaller builders.Years ago I was a product specialist for ibanez. I got the skeleton key back then and it still unlocks even some of the heavy doors like E-H ;-)
@RobertWJackson
@RobertWJackson 3 года назад
Ah, I see. Interesting, I didn’t know that there was a specific model for the box itself. Unrelated: Would you happen to know who I should contact at Ibanez about demoing some products for them on my channel? If so, can you email me? My email is robertsguitardungeon@gmail.com.

@@RobertWJackson I was a product specialist. My job was to demo equipment for retail buyers and sometimes the public or get phoned to answer a question on how to operate a piece of gear etc. We were wax dummies to marketing that saw as as invisible and gave us info that was meant to be secret until release day by talking to each other in front of us. LOL Most of these guys used to market anything from toothpaste to lawn mowers. They need to be sat down with charts and graphs showing why they should work with you.I would get a hold of whoever is always showing Ibanez or any product on another RU-vid site and find out who their contact is. That way the guy knows what you do etc. He will however be mainly interested in your number of subscribers now and from the past to get an idea of your growth potential. the way I do things is by doing as many free favours as I can for all sorts in the whole industry and then call in favours as needed over time. In short make friends by networking. The best I get right know in actual product is to see something shortly after a release date and try it out in a spare office room by going in with a current product specialist. In your case that would mean a trip to LA or NY. it is great for me as I am a Blogger and do not actually demo a product online. One guy I know from TC Electronic travels a lot so sometime I get a peak or hands on of prototype. Which is fun but often the end product is different, or dumped or is shelved for a year or two. I have to be guarded with a lot of sh_t or I will loose my contact. I have been gearing up over 8 years with my biz Lenard Re-Inventions I am waiting on a shipment on a guitar that took just over a year now to get as a prototype. It is finished and possibly shipped I should know tomorrow. It is the first in a small line of Lenard Guitars. I am making nich market guitars. The first is Fenderish looking guitar with the neck profile taken from Les Paul specs. It has a Tele PU at the bridge and a neck and middle Strat PU. It is aimed at a die hard Gibson player who wants as a second guitar that cover the best of aTele and a Strat in the same guitar. Which means no whammy. It has to suggest a Fender but after years of teasing and bad mouth Fender guys it could NEVER be a clone. I based the guitar off of a guitar that Leo Fender made sketches of in late '51 to be made in '52. It wasn't but it morphed into the Strat in '54. Leo thought the Tele bridge PU killer but was working on you know what PU for the neck.LOL Leo also believed his guitars would be like cars. He would discontinue one (the Tele) and bring out the new model. Things worked out different but thanx to a guy who if I said his name you would know and I am not saying because I am sure our conversations were meant to be private. Mr. T.W. spent 2 years working with Leo everyday I have both documented and info from Leo's conversations on all the early designs and ideas from the early 50's Most ideas did show up but years apart. In short nearly every guitar up until '64 was already in some form on paper before '54. Once again the marketing boys slowed things down. The problem with guitars is they a third art a third technology and third pixie dust :-) I also knew 3 guys that were at Kalamazoo in the late 50's. One with photo copies of research handwritten on company paper. It has sh_t that blew my socks off. Much has been rediscovered by trial and error over the few decades but some of got missed because of designers not being able to see the forest for the trees. The killer is I repeated the tests and they were right. I just about sh_t! How about making a guitar that sounded exactly like a '59 LP standard dirt cheap. If you aimed at an entry level Squier build it would cost the no more than $350.00 USD. It would NOT look anything like an LP only sound like one. I do not think Gibson has all this info because of so many changes by different owners and because it is all written as one plus one and without my friend there to say 2 you could miss the point. In short he always said "so this means". Keep in mind I am '73 and started hanging with guys like John Birch in '76 guitars

Wow! You’re the kind of guy I’d love sitting around and talking about guitar history with! I love all of that stuff. I try to incorporate some history into a lot of my videos. I’ve been corrected on some of it, but I think I’ve also been pretty accurate a lot of the time, as well.
