Soooo many try!!! THEY CANT TOUCH CURLY'S KNOWLEDGE, QUALITY, TRANSPARENCY OR ANOINTING!!! Farida you always giving props to the people that you learned it from as well. Such a gift, sis!!
Farida Farida Farida! Yes I said it 3 times. A little over 3 years ago, I was Baldilocks by choice. I cut off all my damaged hair and decided to go natural. I decided to see how long my hair would grow till I turned 60. I discovered your channel and said what in the heck is Ayurveda. Then I started mixing and testing in the kitchen based on what you said. I’ll be 60 in a few months and my hair is in the middle of my back. Yep, I have before and after pictures to prove it. And I have my mom’s down her back too. Folks, listen to Farida!!! She’s the real deal. ❤💕🙏🏿✝️
Please address hair growth for older ladies. I'm 75 and have just started growing my 4C hair last September. I wore a TWA (1/2 inch) since early 70s. So far my hair is 6 inches long, but I am committed to healthy hair. Please, please, please talk about us. We are out here! Thanks for all you do The commercial hair care products are just to make the companies rich, no shade to anyone for whom they work. Much love and appreciation to you
Farida….You are the real deal!! I have been consistent (3 months) with several of your diy recipes using Amla, Fenugreek, Flaxseed, Black Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil and Olive oil. I’ve included Jojoba and Argan oil for specific parts of my regimen and my hair is now below brand strap!! I have documented 1 inch growth per month!! I had only had 1/2 inch or less growth per month for 2 yrs!! You are, indeed, the Real Deal!!! 🥰
Hands down Farida is the goat of ayurverdia diys. Since I've been following her I went from collarbone to past my bra strap not yet to my hips, but I'm working on it. I did my own research for a year b4 I started following her practices but in January of 2019 when felt I learned enough to feel confident in making my own. Side note: When I make my diy oil I have always used heat, put the herbs in a pot first then add the oils then I strain into a knee-high tie it into a knot and throw that bundle of herbs 🌿 into the jar with my oil so it intensifies the blend. I use a turkey bastor to pull the oils out and put in my applicator bottle. 😊
I meannnn the fact that you have bottled your recipes and still give us other recipes is SO bomb! You are the truth and I always come back to your channel when I need a reset! A true GEM!
Huge fan here ! I have followed so many suggestions going back years in her channel that my psoriasis and dandruff is TOTALLY gone. I’m not even kidding. If you’re not watching her videos and doing, then 🤷🏽♀️
I read a study on pubmed that indigo (the stuff that's mixed with henna for black result) is a natural cure for psoriasis. Check it out, type indigofera into pubmed, seems to be a miracle remedy.
@@NubianQueen68 hello. I wish I could point to something specific. For me it was a complete lifestyle change where I no longer used the typical over the counter stuff (dyes, shampoos, conditioners, oils) but used all her suggestions where they were appropriate for me. Here’s the part of my routines I think did the psoriasis work. Scalp scrubs (using combos of Jaman fruit, Amla, fenugreek, Jatamansi, saw palmetto). Henna instead of OTC dyes to cover my grays. Teas, teas, teas! And last but not least taking care of my vitamin deficiencies (blood work revealed low iron, vitamin d). Even my menopausal symptoms aren’t stopping my hair health/thickness/growth. 💚💚💚. Hope this helps.
Ms Farida, your Diy's have been tried and true through the years.. I have followed your directions through loosing my hair from covid ,to it growing back thicker and longer the last two years!!! The Amla/fenugreek combo has been essential for my hair progress..I will add this diy oil, just have to buy the Jamun fruit powder!!! Thanks for all the great info you've shared for results in hair density and length retention!!!🧡🧡
@@marianatumusiime540l wash my hair almost daily then after using a regular conditioner & washing it out , l drench my hair in oils. I sleep with oil overnight. Then do it again the next day or the following day
I just love being apart pf the CP community! My hair is thrivinggggggggg and I'm so thankful for you and the inspiration you've given me to treat my hair with excellence!!
Nice update. I am not familiar with jamun fruit powder so I will have to research its benefits. I may also check out an older video you have on it as well.
Hi Farida, thanks again for that recipe even though I'm not a great fan of coconut oil. But I have learned that if we rub it enough (warm it a bit) in our hands, then apply it on our hair and keep massaging it until it really penetrate our hair shelf it will be ok. I think because they take about half an hour to massage it into the hair in India, that's why the ladies down there do not have a problem with it.... For me at the moment I have be using consistantly your fenugreek elexir for about 1 and half week and I have notice changes. My edges left and write where nearly gone due to stress at home. But now they have started to grow up... Thanks again for everything. I recommend it strongly to anyone but consistancy should be partcof your routine. 😊
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 as usual. You absolutely saved my hair and I don't go as hard as this with the oils b/c I hate the mess, but I do masks weekly or bi-weekly, and it has stopped my hair fall tremendously! Thanks, Farida!
I've never done a mask on my high porosity fine hair, but I'll do a gloss in a heart beat! I have just about all of the powders and the funegreek oil is the FREAKING TRUTH!!! I had a bald spot and that oil grew my hair back in that spot. I'm going to start using it again!
My lazy girl method is to pour all of the heated oils with herb powders into a wide mouth short mason jar after it has simmered on the stove for 30min or more. Pour All of it into the the short fat wide mouth mason jar….soaked powders and all. Let it sit for apx 4 days - a week. The herb infused oil beautifully separates from the powders! The powders create a dense clay on the bottom of the jar and the oil is wonderfully infused and rises to the top!! Nothing has been lost. I dip my fingers into the oil and apply directly to my scalp and then from root to tip of my strands. Massage into my scalp, down my strands and replace the lid on the mason jar!! Store the jar in a pantry or closet. You can pour the oil into an applicator bottle…but, I only do that for travel. No straining…no clean up!! 🥰😀
Hi CP thank you for this video and recipes. I just wanted to ask before making and trying if this oil is good for/can be used on thin fine hair? II have been weeding out oils that are too heavy and or drying for my mostly high porosity , low density fine thin hair. Also need oils that are not heavy on my scalp. I absolutely love your special edition Elixir oil but I've found it dries my hair out. I love fenugreek oil as well but it too dries my hair out . That said Curly Proverbs products are amazing and are my go to for use. It's just these two specific products that do not work well on my hair and scalp. Suggestions please. Thank you so much. 💓 ❤
I have all of your oils and trying to figure out how to work this in. I also have your Amla & Bhringraj powders as well as Henna & Aloe… Love them… now this… hmmmm…
I’ve been dealing with gradual hair loss over the years due to a variety of reasons: vitamin deficiency, hormonal issues, and having scalp psoriasis over 10 years. I used to have amazing hair up until that point. I’m of Indian descent so I did regularly oil my scalp and hair, and yet it didn’t help. Now you’ve inspired me to be more disciplined and consciously maintain a doable routine which tackles my issues specifically. Leaving this comment as a starting point for myself, really excited to see results!
Hey Farida, I sure will update again in a few months! Update 1: it’s been almost a month, I have been using fenugreek/clove/green tea rinses at least thrice a week and regular oiling with castor/coconut/bhringaraj oil. My focus is more on getting new growth from my scalp rather than on increasing length. It’s too early to see, but the attention to my scalp health is paying off. It feels very comfortable, something I haven’t felt in very long with psoriasis. I’m also being very careful not to scratch irritate affected areas. That said, I think all that past “trauma “ will take a while to heal, so I have to be patient
Hello Farida😊I just discovered your channel. I love your content on the making your oil. I’m 55 and I’m starting my loc journey… two weeks ago with two strand twist. Will this be recommended on locs or any of your oils for that matter? TFS
I don’t have non of these things except coconut oil so I’m buying. I’m not sure which oil should I get? I’m going to use it on my 3 years old daughter and myself. Thank you.
Thanks for this video :). Wanted to ask if you are supposed to wash the oil off? Because when I used fenugreek seed in my conditioner I left it on my hair overnight and then the next day my hair got stiff, dry and worn down. Not sure if I did it incorrectly or my hair just don’t like it.
CP I got questions about the 2nd method; Is it better than the 1st method? I think I will stick with the first way, I was always told water & oil don't mix, & I'm scared I won't do it right. 😢
I would love to know if you have tips on hair density and not so much growth. I’ve never had an issue with hair growth, but now that I’m getting older I do need to find remedies for hair loss. :)
Most of the herbs and oils she used can add density so it’s like an all in one. Nutrition also plays a key factor as well stress levels, etc maybe you should get blood work done to test your iron
Had from some RU-vidrs that double boiling method is better cause it doesn’t destroy the nutrients…That heating straight like that kills the nutrients… please help clarify… thank you
Can you do a version of the golden one WITH fenugreek and other Ayurvedic herbs!? My hair HATES coconut oil. I have very very very fine afro hair. I get too greasy with coconut oil but I would love to have the same oil just with castor oil as the base instead of coconut.
You will laugh at me ... but WHILE I was viewing this new gem of a video 💫💫, I realized that I had some mini hair oil hearts in my freezer (silicone heart molds lol). Now I'm excited to drop one in my next deep conditioning treatment! 💖💖
How about avocado oil, olive oil, almond oil, etc. we have options! It’s okay if we have to change out an ingredient because we are all unique. She is giving us the base and we work from there!!😊
With the 2nd method of boiling ingredients first, can I strain the water off, use as an effective tea spray and use the chaffe left over in an oil? I’m worried that water and oil will decrease the shelf life of the final product. I think I’ll experiment that way and give you feedback!❤❤
I just started making growth oils with CP powders. I gave out small sample.bottles and two people have came back and brought bigger bottles from me. One lady said my oil grew her bald spot now have 5 customer's. I made the oil because I wasn't using the powders consistently and I wasn't about to waste those powders but Iam going to start using those same powders in my deep conditioner s
I would use a low heat setting making sure to stir it constantly. I mix my powders and oils in a Mason jar then I sit in a pan of water on the stove on between 3 and 4 setting making sure I stir so powders won't stick for about 10 to 15 minutes take off the heat then let cool. I heat without the top on the mason jar so the the condensation from the water doesn't get in the oil. After it cools COMPLETELY I put that top back on it and shake it really good and then strain two to three times to get all the powder out
Fenugreek was too potent on my hair using as a mask. So I just use the seeds in like a tea, but I don’t know if I’m getting the benefits as greatly. I feel like my hair loss was due to iron deficiency over the years in my hair has never fully recovered, so I’m trying to use herbs that are high and iron to rethicken.
Drinking funegreek tea will help grow your hair back as well. Anything taken internally will definitely boost hair growth. You can use the funegreek oil on your scalp as well
But is not boiling ingredients destroying part of them ? For example Vit c is destroyed at very low temperature... It's why you have to store it in the fridge...
Curlyproverbz, the hair growth oil DIY has coconut oil and it dries my hair really bad. It makes my hair hard. Can I incorporate the oil, an just eliminate 🥥 oil??
Yes I don't even know why she's using coconut oil. It's such a bad base for these amazing oils. Coconut oil messed me up as well. My first ayurvedic product had amazing powders and that terrible coconut oil. 😭💔🤦🏽♀️ If I were you I would use sunflower oil instead (It's super absorbent and thin) And if you need something thicker avocado oil And something even thicker mustard seed oil.
@@RissieReimaybe it works for her. This isn’t a one size fits all use whatever works for you me personally, my hair loves coconut oil but we have almost the same texture of hair. Shes literately my hair twin the density to the curls to the thickness .
