What worked for your hair loss? Tell me below because if I don't know about it, I will look it up!

I’ve been using Harklinniken for ten months and it’s helped grow new hair as well as greatly minimizing hair loss and shedding I previously had-I’ve had hair loss for about 10 years and it’s gotten thinner in my 40’s. I just started loestrin so hoping that doesn’t make it worse. I do have pcos and endometriosis and my hormones are all over the place.

A few things that actually helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I quit wearing ponytails because it leds to tension breakage. (2) I began massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while leaning forward & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to protect my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using mild shampoo again from liittleextra only to wash my hair.

I was having hairfall and tried many hair oils, hair masks but this worked out so well. cocooniion hair oil and shampoo is actually the best.

I’ve had hair loss for almost 10 years. Just an overall thinning but can see my scalp! I have gone to many doctors and a dermatologist and no answers. Did two scalp biopsies came back normal. I think the loss is due to taking blood thinners for 6 mo to treat clots and at that time my dr took me off bc. And stress during that time. 10 years later, I thought my hair would grow back but no. I currently wear hair toppers and wigs, but mostly just hats. It’s very depressing and has really taken a hit on my self esteem. I’m 49.

Somehow, vitamin D + Magnesium helped me for hair loss and thinning. Time to time, I add Zink and Iron.

My dermatologist told me nothing will regrow hair if you have loss due to androgenic alopecia, except for female rogaine in some people. But doc also said it comes with many side effects that have to be considered seriously. I talked to some women who were on it and they strongly advised against it. They all said it made their scalp burn incessantly and painfully, even after stopping the use of it. Doc said genetics and hormone changes causing my hair loss “are just life and the hand you’ve been dealt.” I’m trying to look at it with perspective, it is just hair and it doesn’t define us. We need to normalize women losing their hair just like it’s been normalized and accepted for men.

There is also spironolactone and Finasteride.

I saw a dermatologist for my hair loss. I use rogaine with very little issues, it is a little drying but a good biotin shampoo and conditions rectify that problem. I also take biotin hair supplements. Those things have greatly helped me and I have regained 50% of what was lost. These things only work as long as you use and take them. I can't take nutrafol due to allergies to shellfish products.

45 and firmly into perimenopause. Hair has been thinning since 37. I watched my mom fight a losing battle with it and I tried all the supplements, especially in my late 30's. Very expensive. Have now decided to let it be. I wear all lengths wigs and when it gets hot I just wear my hair it a short buzz. Already trying to keep the weight from piling on and staying fit, I don't want to add stressing about hair as well.

Eat clean, organic and low carb, get HRT (natural hormone replacement) and exercise at least 4x a week (add weights) and you'll be better than when you were young. I am and I'm almost 60 (people think I'm 20 yrs younger). Good luck.

I am 57, in menopause and a year and a half ago, started HRT prescribed by a Kaiser Permanente OB/Gyn. I started with thick, waist length hair, no issues. Within 1 month lost 1/3 to 1/2 my hair. It stopped falling out when I stopped the HRT. I have now seen a couple Dermatologists and have spent thousands and PRF and treatments that have not worked. The problem was that the doctor started me on way too high of a dose, without checking labs and my system was shocked as it hadn't seen hormones in years. Started telogen effluvium which then unmaked female pattern hairloss. It's devastating to say the least.
@dharma__3
@dharma__3 Год назад
HRT helps with hair loss UNLESS you add testosterone, which will cause DHT to destroy your hair. Again, regular bioidentical hormone replacement of estradiol and progesterone WITHOUT testosterone will actually help your hair.
@Dandelion_flight

That's very strange. Why would high estrogen cause this massive hair shedding? I am very low on estrogen now and my hair has been shedding for 1.5 years... it's thinned out a lot... baby hair is growing but not fast enough to replace those that shed. During pregnancy we have high estrogen and progesterone and our hair never fall out, so thick and luscious. I want to get onto HRT soon to help all my menopausal symptoms including the hair shedding as well!
@dharma__3
@dharma__3 Год назад
@@Dandelion_flight Estrogen dominance can cause hair shedding; however I wonder if Terri (original poster) was also given testosterone, which many HRT providers like to push in high doses. This caused me significant hair loss that I'm still battling.
@Dandelion_flight
@Dandelion_flight Год назад
@@dharma__3 I definitely do not have estrogen dominance. My estrogen has always been on the low side and now with menopause it is the worst. The only time my hair did not shed was when I was pregnant. Very bad shedding was a few months after childbirth. And then now at menopause it is non-stop!

exact same thing happened to me. i had thick gorgeous hair but after starting HRT my hair thinned and fell out. I got so much contradictory direction from medical professionals. I just stopped estrogen and am continuing on progesterone cream. I definitely had estrogen dominance in a bad way.

Thanks for the video. To deal with my hair loss I went shorter and bleached my hair which may seem counterintuitive except that these days good cosmetologist can lighten your hair with minimal damage and with the new cowashing products in the market you can maintain your vibrant color and keep your hair healthy by only washing once a week. Also bleached hair looks/ feels thicker. I do wish you would have mentioned Latisse. Part of my hair loss involved losing my eyelashes and eyebrows and latisse has been a game changer.
@dharma__3
@dharma__3 Год назад
Latisse can also grow back scalp hair; it could be a replacement for problematic Minoxidil, but the price is too high, which is a shame.

I started to use a red light face mask everyday four months ago and saw some nice growth in my eyebrows, eyelashes and front hairline ( I have been using minoxidil for over a year so I was surprised). Both my husband and I have just started using it now on our head. It is the soft type from Aldi specials so not too pricey.

Does testosterone not cause hair loss? I'm confused as just started HRT but bloods all came back well. Diagnosed with androgenic alopecia and doing treatment. Worried the Evorel Conti will make hair loss worse😢

Hi, love you and your channel.been watching all your videos I am a bit confused , most everything I see says progesterone should be taken along with estradiol patch 200 if cyclically ,I am on .075 estradiol patch and 100 progesterone 15 days out of the month by my doctor. I do not want to get uterine cancer Is the progesterone to low? The progesterone I take is oral pill. I am 55 two years no period. Thank you so much for all you do.❤️❤️ Peggy

Oral minoxidil and oral Finasteride. Been losing hair at my temples and bangs since age 32. 46 now and it was just getting out of control. My three sisters and mother all losing hair. My mom is almost bald at age 67.

I'm in the same boat. My mother's side of family all have very baby thin hair. By the time my mother was fifty she was almost bald. My grandmother on mothers side always had short hair that was permed. I'll be 44 this year and my hair is cut like a bob hair style. My hair is so baby fine that I've been slowly wearing wigs. I'm wondering about oral minoxidil also. I know minoxidil is also prescribed for high blood pressure. Trying biotin supplements. It's been only a few weeks. I'll give it a year and hope it helps.

Finasteride and oral minoxidil worked for me. Try Finasteride first, as it is FDA approved for male pattern baldness which shares common features with female pattern baldness.

Ty for the video. I went on HRT when my period stopped at 54. It helped for hot flashes, however it gave me bad melasma! I was on the patch 0.05 and a progesterone IUD. I have been off it for 6 months but the headaches and hot flashes are off it. Is there anything else I can do?
