Hi Steven, thanks for sharing the video. I recently moved to Canada from Dubai and I’m experiencing irritation with my scalp. I was using glue and tape in Dubai in humid conditions and had no issue. The moment I came to Canada, it started irritating. I’m using walker tape ultra hold. My scalp turns red, dry and itchy around the perimeter only. Not sure if this is because of the dry weather ? Have you heard of any issues ? I’m switching to Ghost Bong classic to check it out. I hope it works. Not sure what to use in this sort of weather.

What would you recommend for weft extensions? I use pro salons latex and I’ve also used liquid gold but that stuff is harder to get hold of. I find tape stays in the hair and matts at the root and the extensions slide out. I do like pro salons latex but again the hair comes out after one wash. Would ghost bond work? Thanks!

Hey Steven,I am amazed to see your work.Can you please answer my questions 1. Which one do you think is the best hair bond in the Market.Please name one according to your experience. 2.What to do with the Front hair line that tends to lose hair after you remove the tape or bond every single time ultimately lace or skin base begins to appear. Apart from changing the hair system do you have a solution to this ,how to add frontline hair in a skin based system?
@hairlossconsultant6505
@hairlossconsultant6505 3 года назад
Hey Aamir, thanks for the great compliment! Here's the answer to your questions. 1) Ghost Bond Platinum, Professional Hair Labs is a long time favorite. Have worked with Howard and his sons for a very long time now. 2) When it come to the front hair hair line, lace you can add hair too, thin skin you cannot. Thin skin has less wear, due to it doesn't come in contact with the adhesive, therefore not compromising the injection, where as the lace, the knot is exposed and loosened by the removal of adhesive. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!!

What glue do you use ?
@jonathansmith9235

I've been wearing systems for years, and I much prefer tape. "Walker" brand is my favorite. Not as messy as glue, and with less accidents. Doesn't take that long to apply to a lace system, and you can be very precise, all around the perimeters of the system and two strips in the middle for extra adhesion. Plus, I only leave it on for a week for hygiene reasons, and it remains very secure through all seasons for seven days, and tape is also a lot easier to remove and clean. My favorite systems come from Hollywood Lace. Very natural, great lace base, with extra light density available, and any percentage of grey. I've cut my own hair for 30 years with a FLOWBEE and WAHL clippers, and have saved at least $20,000 in barber fees. And, I cut in my own systems, again using the precision of the FLOWBEE, and hair shapers. The alternative of shaving the head and being bald is completely out of the question. I still equate baldness to an escapee from a mental institution, a Hell's Angel, a reject from the Marines, or Lex Luthor.(LOL!)

You are the true successful DIYer it sounds like! A lot of clients wished they had the ability and patience to do their own hair, but unfortunately not everyone can paint a flat wall, lol. Glad you found your groove and if you have any questions, feel free to ask and hopefully maybe you could pick up a trick or two.....I myself am always learning.
@jonathansmith9235

@@hairlossconsultant6505 Thanks for your reply. The FLOWBEE, for all the jokes it still gets. was a godsend, as it does precise cuts with an array of attachments, even to taper the sides and back. It's also hard to make mistakes with WAHL clippers, and I also have a Remington to keep my beard well groomed, with settings from 1 - 9. The hair thinners/shapers are an underused apparatus by so many DIYers that just so easily blends the hair from the system with your own. And using a hand held mirror is pretty easy. I got my first FLOWBEE in 1991 from Sears, and it lasted all the way up until 2 years ago! I'm 66 now, and still dye my hair to a light brown using Just For Men, and now and then trying all natural products. For great touch ups, the product DermMatch is just excellent. I've been in the entertainment business(musician/pianist/singer) for 48 years, and looks, style, and image always helps, especially when it can take 10 years off your age. I just consider it make up of sorts, but looking your best and having a full head of hair that looks natural has always been a confidence booster. The Hoolywood Lace or Swiss Lace base has always been my preferred choice, just so natural, see through, and terrific hairlines that are just basically undetectable. If there was a next Life, maybe I would come back as a barber. Then I could serenade my clients while doing their hair. :) What is your preferred type of system, company, and base? And how long have you worn a system? Great to chat with you! I like the Quiff style, George Clooney type of look, with a part on the same side as Cary Grant or Rock Hudson, and love having the hairline exposed as nobody can guess.

@@swayamrout5248 Hi! It's called "Walker" brand tape, available online at many sources. And, they have tape for every specific use and size, including lace front tape. I personally find it just so much easier and less messy than glue, and just as efficient, as I do maintenance after wearing my system for 7 days. Less cleanup and less time reinstalling. As far as systems, I find Hollywood Lace has, by far, the best systems available.

I live in Mumbai (India) where its super humid and hot and a lot of pollution around. So for me definitely it is the glue. Although it's kind of a pain to service it on your own when compared to tape, or so I believe. Taking off the glue with solvent and then washing it etc etc is definitely time consuming. But hey! You get a way better hold and ofcourse i can shower in these!

Hey sorry for the slow reply...🙏...From my 30 yrs experience, it sounds like adhesive, like Ghost Bond, is probably going to work best for you. The problem with tape in sweaty situations, is that when tape gets wet, it don't adhere anymore....where is might get gooey, but at least adhesive has some stick, until you cool down or able to change or touch up the adhesive....good luck.....thanks for the good question!

@hairlossconsultant6505
@hairlossconsultant6505 3 года назад
Hey Steven Savage , not sure why you want to do that...my suggestion is all glue or tape edges and glue front hairline. This is if you use a co-polymer adhesive. If you use acrylic adhesive, people use tape to protect the base, but I don't recommend acrylic...hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Depending on the base. A poly base yes, but on the really thin skin you might run into the issue it sticks to itself because its so light and flexible. Lace systems I would not suggest it.

How long does the Ghost Bond last on your clients? My client is looking for an adhesive that lasts longer than 2 weeks is that not an option if we want a safe glue? And should i send him home with his own to touch it up?

@hairlossconsultant6505 3 года назад
Hey T M thanks so much for viewing my channel! To answer your question 2-4 weeks is where everyone falls, activity level or not, when using a copolymer like Ghost Bond. Body chemistry really dictates how the adhesives break down. Extend a Bond Tape or Easy Green Tape from Walker Tape, some have better luck. Some people also use a scalp protector. Hope this helps!

Hey Lalit, sorry for the delayed response..with this Corona virus things are a little crazy for a short time!..But to get to your question...... I am a huge fan of glue or adhesive!...I find it just over all more user friendly. Most of the time I find that tapes are so good it is hard to remove the backing and by the time you do it lost its stick. As far as which adheres better, I believe for most users adhesive is better for strength and longevity. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

Sorry you feel that way. I have worn myself and have delivered thousands of hair systems and no of my clients have any skin issues. As far as destroying what you already have...well just a reality... your own body is loosing more hair everyday with or without the hair system. I have seen damage and bad skin reactions, but usually because of bad instructions or uneducated stylist. Thanks for watching and good luck.
