Anybody who has been to Downtown Disney and wondered why there's an AMC there and looked up why would be able to tell RLM that movie studios cannot own their own movie theaters, which is why I do find it odd that they can own their own streaming platforms, but that's beside the point. Look up: United States v. Paramount Pictures, Inc 1948 It's actually an interesting case and a fascinating part of film history. I would like RLM to review Color Out of Space and Extra Ordinary. Two films that hit the independent festival circuit or was released internationally in 2019 but came out in the US in 2020. I thoroughly enjoyed them both and would like to see their takes on those films.

Concerning Horse Girl: Brie's character's delusions are triggered by water (dripping, flowing, etc) because of her finding her mother in the shower. Most of the moments that feel supernatural are actually activated by the sound or appearance of water which basically confirms shes just sick.

I look forward to watching the stars of 'The New Mutants' attend the premiere with their teenage children.

This is literally the first time I've ever seen someone not recommend Palm Springs, everyone I've talked to loved it. It is kind of slight but... sometimes that's what you want from that kind of thing. Very much agreed on Relic though, it's fantastic.

Lemon holds a special place of contempt in my heart. I saw it at a midnight screening at Sundance a few years back. Had to walk through a blizzard just for the privilege of sitting in front of a coughing dude in the theater. Not surprisingly, I got the flu two days later. So maybe it just caught me in a bad mood, but I remember wanting to strangle this movie and dump it in a ditch.

Hot Rod is one of my favorite movies of all time. It never fails to make me laugh. And there's always a subtler touch that you don't notice on previous viewings. Can't reccomend it highly enough

It's still currently illegal for movie studios to own theaters, although the law was recently challenged. (for the record, I think this would be a terrible idea)

Quarantine has allowed me to catch up on a few of the films made in the last 100 years or so. Not that those films matter, since only new things are worth caring about.

My take away from this episode is that I really need to re watch The Royal Tenenbaums.

Rich Evans was right about life getting back at Mike for forcing them to watch elderly massage. It happened a lot sooner than expected, too.

I think they should do a re:View of Community and Mike can just stare blankly into space while Jay enthuses over it...

I paused this video to rent Relic. I’m now back to finish watching, while still crying after watching Relic. I understand why audiences thought it was horribly depressing, but I can’t understand why they thought it was boring or pretentious. It’s not a fun movie for anyone who’s already terrified of the ravages of old age, but I’d still recommend it.
