Another great speedrun from you Mr. Kana~~~ 👍👍 1) Half - Life ✔ 2)Half - Life 2✔ 3)Half - Life : Opposing Force✔ 4) Half - Life : Blue Shift ❔ Maybe one day~
I have a question. If you were Dr. Breen, what would you be more afraid of? Case 1. You unexpectedly encounters a subordinate from 20 years ago, and he destroys all the troops you sent in a few days, and he arrives at your office. Case 2. You unexpectedly encounters a subordinate from 20 years ago, he used several drum can to stand in front of you to cross the city. In just [half an hour.]
Nice run! But im glad kana is back to goldsrc now. I have been missing out on most fun% streams, so could someone please explain the gatarxd situation. Was it just a little bit of trolling or what?
Basically the way it works is that the game gives you noclip everytime you are in a vehicle(easy trick from the developers to stop you from colliding with stuff while you're driving) By leaving the airboat into the level change trigger (it's super precise you need to finish exiting the boat in the exact frame the map transitions) the game doesn't get to the part in the code where you're supposed to have noclip deactivated, so you can keep it
Imagine being a strong interdimensional Empire and there's just this orange blur that takes out everything you've worked hard to build over 20 years and only 30 minutes
Well, I'm 100% sure that there isn't any actual movement rework or implementation into the game as a mod that could break something else. It's just changed cvars about air acceleration and the normal movement speed. Doesn't have anything to do with the actual physics of objects.
i like how he just transported to other stages, fucking flies, going in the speed of sound i am just like "wtf is going on" and for him is just keeping the pace.
I'm not sure what you're asking exactly but I guess you mean the bunnyhopping? Thats the basic movement technique we do in these games, you can airstrafe to generate speed and then you keep it by jumping as soon as you touch the ground.
unfamiliar with this category: does not having the HEV suit grant a godmode of sorts? also in water hazard, how did you just clip through things with no save/load
there are two different things going on: 1. In this category we can upwards clip which we do on 1:02 on top of the radiator, that skips a trigger that would start u being vulnerable. (At the start of the game you are invincible until this point) 2. at 6:02 we do a save delete to spawn the airboat, that would get rid of the invincibility but we also immediately do another trick where we exit the airboat into the level change trigger, making a part of our hitbox stay in the airboat (easy explaination) That lets us do these clippings with objects through walls for the rest of the run and also has the effect that bullets cant hit you anymore. However from this point onwards we can take damage from explosions which is very useful for grenadeboosting and stuff
It's a mod for the game, available to download from speedrun.com/hl2ce/resources For any questions forward around this I'd recommend joining the sourceruns discord server, people are very quick to help there
Half-Life 1 movement. It's a modded HL2 version that gives you the ablitly to bunnyhop the same way as in HL1 and strafe left and right to gain speed. Normal Half-Life 2 has really fast movement too but it works differently
The trick is called save deletion. You basically delete the save you are trying to load so the game throws an error and sets you to a default spawn on the map with a default amount of weapons health and armor. It's done in all source games wiki.sourceruns.org/wiki/Save_Deletion
At the start of the game you are invincible until you hit a trigger that will make you vulnerable. But because we can clip through the ceiling at 1:04 we skip said trigger and are invincible until we savedelete to spawn the airboat at 6:05
@@sweatbuh no, it's a clipping method thats exclusive to the hl1mov mod. You have to uncrouch and crouch while jumping under a low ceiling. We're doing it in quite a few different spots in the run, another example would be 3:23
The game literally gives you noclip when you are in vehicles. And by exiting the airboat into a levelchange trigger it basically doesn't realize you left the airboat so you can keep the noclip. (That's the ez explaination)

not properly no, they tried to make it 10aa but because of some weird glitch with the source engine it increases your aa when you are moving downwards and then its more like 30. That's why runners to to these snappy movements
