Offering red fanta isn't come from animal sacrifice, Thai don't have any tradition of animal sacrifice. Thais converted to Buddhism since thousand of years ago, and Buddhism forbids human/animals sacrifice. tradition of offering fanta to deva or god is recent tradition in modern time. it's started from Thais who worship Kuman Thong (child spirit in animism belief) offer red fanta to Kuman Thong because children supposed to love sweet and colorful drink. And it spread to every practice of offering since then because red fanta is cheap and very easy to acquire
