That makes more sense than what everyone else in this comment section says about the haunted Mansion lacking an overall plot. Basically the plot I can come up with for the haunted Mansion ride is that Master Gracey, the owner of the estate, turned into such a resting home after his death. On his tombstone in the graveyard it reads, "Master Gracey, laid to rest, no mourning please, at his request." So yeah, there's like a lot of stories and spirits hanging out there, including that bride in the attic, the hitchhiking ghosts, the mummy, the king and queen on the seesaw, etc.
If they make a Thunder mountain movie here is what I think would be amazing: Main characters visiting each town (represented at each park, mostly rainbow ridge (Disneyland version)). When visiting Thunder Mesa (we’re the lore begins according to my research). We could have a phantom manor segment with one of the characters from the new haunted mansion movie investigating it. Think of it as a moment where our characters seek help from an expert.
That animated introduction was beautifully done! It definitely amped up the creep factor the Phantom Manor truly deserves and the actress who voiced Melanie Ravenswood was a perfect addition. The story of the Phantom Manor reminds me of William Faulkner's A Rose for Emily, one of my favorite stories. I also remembered at one time I wrote a fanfic about the manor's backstory and never got to finish it. The fanfic was basically the same as the official backstory, but instead it's told in Henry Ravenswood's point of view, not Melanie's.
Years went by, and many people will tell you, that on every anniversary of the wedding, you will hear the sobbing of the spirit of Melonie, crying and screaming for a groom that will never come home, and if you are to look at the highest window....you shall see the silhouette of her, holding flowers in one hand, and a candelabra in another..... For she stands in wait, guarding against all who dare to travel, and she stands alone, as a warning....to others.

-Romane - Johnny Depp either as the lover but probs the phantom Helena bonham Carter as Martha/the mother Then some other pale faced actress as Melanie!!
I'm fascinated of it's history, and the story they tell! I would love it if they created a movie 🎥 of The Phantom Manor, that will be really incredibly cool 😎! Tara Dragoknight 🐉
This is why I just love Disneyland Paris. It gets so much hate for being unlike the other parks, but that’s what I love it’s just a bit different. Quite a lot of the same rides but just a bit different in several cases better (e.g. phantom manor, btm, space mountain). Augh just love it!!
@@willlyon7129 oh yeah. I know that now. But tbh they should have kept the original, and kept the phantom's identity a mystery, even if it's obviously her father
Well um,people got a full experience of the ride's refurbishment, and well.....Complications now occur to me when i watch this video and then look at the newly revamped storyline of the ride,persay...so um....Ooops
I wanted to go on this ride ever since I learned about it as a kid (I still have never gone to France). Like Tokyo's Tower of Terror, this Haunted Mansion has a more interesting story and a much scarier tone than the original, of which I still enjoy. But now that I've heard of the changes made to the ride and its story, I don't like the sound of it.
Eric Sander knowing this story I was so confused to go on the ride in the US as this story didn’t come across at all!! Turns out that one is about the hatch away wife who kills her husbands
@@tattie.b8594 The story goes that it's a retirement home for 999 happy haunts. The black widow bride is just a story within the room and she wasn't added until the 2000s. The guys behind Phantom Manor wanted to make a more elaborate story than the original.
I don't know why.....But this song.....Amazing....But sad. #Icryedathousandtimebecauseitsfreakingbeautiful. Good job Roxy Darr Btw! And the others of course!
Great music, decent animation with excellent designs and story, voice overs that sound really good even when they change, and knowledge about a disney attraction I had known almost nothing about? Sure. I’ll subscribe
We'll never know. But one thing is certain... Melonie Ravenwood's story is somber, tragic, yet romantic and beautiful in its own way. Somebody willl get it right eventually. Someone WILL make a movie about the Haunted Mansion and Phantom Manor in the right fashion.
For one thing, Phantom Manor is different enough attraction with it's own feel and style that you can't use it as the basis of a Haunted Mansion film. Second, the lore for Haunted Mansion goes all over the place, so the film making up its own thing is almost in line with the rides ever changing *lore*. Third... people still annoyed with the Eddie Murphy film? Like, really?
You truly did an amazing job with this, and the voice acting and singing are just on a whole other level of breathtaking, I’d pay to have a video of just that beautifully haunting melody
@@DJROCKSTAZ Well, I was thinking of an EVP recorder to communicate with them to know their business. And if their business is evil, we can suck them inside our vacuum cleaners.
I thought it was odd too to "ship" Melanie with the Phantom, but after seeing the interaction between the two characters in that Halloween Parade from Disneyland Paris, I'm starting to wonder where they are going with Melanie and the Phantom's relationship with one another
@@PrinceLinkOfDragona I guess they were going for a phantom of the Opera feels but I'm guessing they forgot the original creators were hinting that the phantom was her dad (or probably)
I love this!!! But I don't like Tony Baxter's version of the story, with the phantom being Melanie's late groom who's come back to marry her in the afterlife. If the phantom is any member of her family then he's the father (the most popular theory, now manifested by Disney).
looks like the Eddie Murphy haunted mansion movie was good interesting but i rather like to have the phantom manor version mostly imagine i make the story of phantom manor really great based on the the attraction and the Eddie Murphy movie. like sets in the story in today 2019 in Texas with new characters of two families called Wiggins and Lei-berg Ed Wiggins and Carl Lei-berg were best friends both dads to their kids Ed has one 12 year old daughter and two 11 and 10 year old sons and Carl has one 11 year old son and 21 year old daughter. Carl's daughter's name Abigail, Abby for short was about going to college in September with her new boyfriend mike so Carl and Abby were kind of had a strained relationship between father and daughter because of sometimes Carl's paranoid or para-annoying overprotective grudge over his kids he loved dearly Carl and Abby were in a fight in his van along with mike, Ed and the kids after an outing at a restaurant diner and heading back home. Abby said out loud that she can't wait to go to college, having her own home, to be with mike having her own life without her dad since he has gone too far of still treating her like a child there was more fighting again until. Fate brought them in a unusual way when a lightning bolt strikes down a big tall tree falls down blocking their path leading the people stuck in the woods and then rainstorm came and everyone spotted an old Victorian mansion on a hill they found a place to get away from the rain and use help from the owners. there they had entered the phantom manor and they are trapped for the phantom of the manor doesn't like visitors and wants them dead so the people have to find a way to escape the manor by breaking the mansion's curse of the same strained-relationship father and daughter who are the phantom and the ghostly bride that had haunts the house. 😀😃😱💀👻🕸🕷🎃🍭🍬🍂🍁🍃🌜
Carl and the phantom are in the same boat that they didn't approved of their daughter's relationships with men they love, go figure of them the same way indeed.
i say to think that they just wanted to protect their daughters from ever being hurt by bad men as they don't want to lose them because of it it's so very hard to trust a daughter's judgement to have a relationship with someone like that especially it's so hard to let their children go free to live their own life after they grow up into adults to make their choices. well if they say like "If you love someone, you must set them free." that be a good moral to the movie.
and lucky that the people broke the Mansion's curse by convincing the phantom to let his daughter go free with her groom and the bride tells her father she does love him as she loves her groom, then the group survived out of the mansion before it collapsed so the ghostly bride is now reunite with her true love and rising up to heaven along with the other spirits even Abby and Carl now put their differences aside, understand and embrace each other after they had their experiences at the manor together and Carl now improved of mike who really cares about Abby too and as Abby cares about mike as well. soon after the group return home safe and sound Abby heads off to college with Mike Carl and his son and his wife Gretchen wave goodbye happily, years went by after Abby and Mike graduated Mike propose to Abby and she gladly accepts after they got married they dance with their family and friends at their wedding reception dance party. while the old mansion is now in ruins somebody like any of us can still hear the old music box playing so beautifully enchanting in the air as if the ghostly bride and groom are dancing in the sky happily. The End.
