I couldnt watch it either, I'm meh about needles, but it was the fact that I had no idea what the machine was going to do, was it going to slice her head open atomic layer by layer? I had no idea, and this show has already shown that it doesn't pull punches when it comes to gorey details. Gore is something I dislike. But yes, I couldn't wait for Aaron's reaction either.

i love how now that chief can feel some emotions when she showed up he got really embarrassed like a kid wanting him mum to go away when hes with his friends, that made me chuckle

You're the first one I've seen who understands that the writes are playing a classic trope here with Chief mistrusting Cortana at first, and we'll be rewarded in the end. EDIT: Also the reason we don't see something like that in the games is of course for the sole reason that said bond has already been formed, as Chief has been partnered with her for several years already when we see them both for the first time. Just magically having that bond straight away so to speak, would've just felt rushed.

The above take is from someone who have played all of the games, as well as read all of the Halo books except Halo: Bad Blood, simply due to the fact that I have not been able to find it in my country.

I’m exactly the same , I’ve played all the games and seen some movies but I don’t get the hate. It’s not made for die-hard Halo fans, it’s made for fans and people unfamiliar alike.

As a fan since halo CE 20+ yrs ago it makes me sad seeing all the man babies review bombing the show with 1/10 scores especially when a lot of them haven’t even watched it. The show is not perfect but it’s solid so far and it’s a shame the so called “true” halo fans are the ones doing all the crying and review bombing and other bullshit.

Don't know if Force Recon still does, but in the Marine Raiders we do the ANAM every 6 months to check for Neuro Degen or degradation in case of rapid response deployments. The scenes in the Barracks/Billet really hit home for me because it reminds me of comradery and generally great experiences I have had in Raiders. Having butt-ass-naked people here, guys reading there, guys browsing this, but sadly, no arguing with an AI inside your COs head lol.

I’ve accepted chief being a different actor but Jen as Cortana was 100% the right choice for this show. She was great

No , it's an Easter egg. For reference Sorens real backstory in core canon is his parents both died from a plague and he was adopted in the Spartan program because he "volunteered". I wouldn't be surprised if they're borrowing this. The Flood makes zero sense for the show narratively at this time and would put wayyy too much on the plate of viewers before finding Halo

glad you like the series for being its own thing. It may not be an adaptation but it is a fun spinoff.

@@randalthekidd7006 The only thing ive seen people "unanimously agree" on has been - The cgi is bad in parts and great in others which is fair but considering the total budget is around 100m for around 9-10 hours of the run time when most films get 100m+ for cgi alone for 1-2 hours. - Them wanting steve a 70+ year old bloke to play a 40 year old heavy action involved character. Its like when people were mad that ahsoka was not going to be voiced by ashley eckstein in the mandalorian after her being voice since 2008 but everyone got used to and ended up loving rosario dawson's ahsoka myself included. - Chief taking his helmet off which was going to happen regardless if it was implemented better or not. The armor aswell but do people think he legit lives in his close to 500kg suit 24/7 even when at home/showering/sleeping/eating and doing basic tasks? Its literally a powered battlesuit made for one thing, its not a casual everyday outfit you wear to church. - Miranda's role from Commander to scientist which i do agree shouldnt of been changed. - Captain keys being black, wasnt needed but dont really mind since the actor is a good one. - People wanting the entire halo games story to just copied and pasted into the tv show which makes no sense since its already been done in the games. - Most of the other things are people just knit picking things to complain about from what ive seen.

343 Guilty Spark is somehow another IA that is as powerful and developeable as Cortana but has a sense of robotic thinking that seems dumber.... I think it depends on the perspective of understanment and acknowledgment of the character

@@Industriajor 343 Guilty Spark Isn't an AI in that sense. Guilty Spark is an ancilla and made by the forerunner (Their form of AI) What the original commentator explained are the two forms of human AI and Guilty Spark doesn't fit in that mold.

He does not suffer from rampancy and his capabilities far outweigh Cortana's before she entered the domain. its easily as bad, its got the same exact feel to it just a higher budget. Its so trash. a true middle finger to halo fans and is failing with all audiences. This fake ass master chief sucks, the plot sucks, the main issue is its a terrible show first and complete dogshit halo show second. its cw garbage

Facts, it’s even more pathetic that a lot of the people doing the review bombing consider themselves “true” halo fans and the ones who like it aren’t “true” fans, the review bombing especially when alot of these people haven’t even seen the show is pathetic, it’s not perfect but it’s a solid start and seems to be getting better. Really disappointed in the halo community, they root for anything 343 era halo to fail and then act like people who like it aren’t “real fans”, this show deserves better, so sick of these so called halo fans rooting for the series to fail so they can jerk eachother off for upvotes. They seriously act like this show is the worst thing ever when in reality it had a decent start and looks like it’s becoming real solid, the show deserves better from the so called “true” halo fans

@@TheJerbol My rule of thumb is if the critical and fan ratings are low as shit, it is probably good for one of two reasons. It was review bombed for toxic fandom, political, or other dumb reasons, or it is what I call "shit tastic" and is so bad that it is amazing lmao. If it gets universal support, it is hit or miss, but if it has low ratings, I am bond to like it one way or another.
